IF YOU HAVE KIDS AVOID THIS HOOVER. I have had a shark due hoover with the pet attachments for over a month so can not return it. I am constantly taking bit out of it ,because they get stuck and the machine make a loud noise until you get it out. I thought this hoover would be brilliant for me having disability and having a hoover that I can use in all different situations. I am stuck with a hoover that does not suck up properly not even the small item like crisp I have to run it over the crisps a couple of times before getting it all up in my opinion if you have kids don't get this hoover. I have done all the trouble shooting and nothing seem to work £200 gone down the drain.

Bought this a few months ago and wanted to give it a fair trial before writing a review. This is an absolute waste of an awful lot of money. The anti hair function doesn't work. It continuously clogs up. I spend more time taking it apart to unclog it than I actually do vacuuming. It doesn't work on rugs. The wand feels like it's going to break with just the normal amount of pressure being applied. It is without doubt the worst vacuum cleaner I have ever owned, and the most expensive. I spent a while researching all the available options, by a number of manufacturers and based on the reviews I read, decided on this one. Those reviews must have been paid for because this product is absolutely awful. I absolutely hate it. Don't waste your money. Buy something else.

The best hoover I have ever used. The bad reviews on here cannot be real. I like to think I have a clean house. Every day I use this hoover i think there is no way I’m going to get much up. I empty the bag and it is that powerful it fills it up every time. Unbelievable. I can only assume the poor reviews are for the battery ones. Mine is corded and it’s amazing.

Purchased our Shark Duo Clean in early March. As it is a battery operated appliance wanted to wait before writing an honest review. Well just over 5 months on we think it is brilliant for a cordless appliance. The initial purchase was for something lightweight to do the stairs. It's now used to do the stairs, landing, three bedrooms and two bathrooms. It will do all of this effortlessly 4 times before requiring a recharge. Some people have criticized the amount of times the dust container requires emptying, well that's all relative to the amount of dirt in your house. Sometimes we have to empty it more often than others. The bigger the container the heavier the machine becomes. We wanted a lightweight efficient machine and that is exactly what we have. We would definitely recommend this machine to anyone with the same requirements.

Purchased a shark duo hoover in June , cost £300 , worst hoover I’ve ever had , the suction is non existent Called customer service who weren’t really interested , just wish I’d read these reviews before I purchased it. Very disappointed with Shark and the way they have dealt with this.

I would not recommend shark to anyone, that is my opinion. The shark duoclean is a complete and utter waist of time. I spend more time cleaning the hose and filter than i do hoovering. The customer service team try to be helpful but i still have a vacuum which doesnt clean. I asked for a full refund within the first couple of months but told to try the trouble shooting points. I have bought a new vacuum as i am fed up with thos one, money thrown down the drain! Some people may love it but we are all entitled to our own opinions. I don't have pets and i don't have messy children!

Without any doubt, the worst vacuum cleaner I've ever had the misfortune to purchase. I have a dog who sheds a few hairs( not loads) all that happens is they accumulate near the wheel, not sucked into the cleaner. Hair and dust only accumulate on entrance to collection area and then bung up, constant emptying. Do not purchase.

These cleaners are rubbish, they are not particularly effective at the job they are supposed to do, but the worst thing is the quality and after sales service. My Shark doesn't get much use as I use it in our holiday caravan but the pet attachment broke in no time and isn't covered by the guarantee and then the control button fell off and also isn't covered by the 5 year guarantee which isn't worth the paper it's written on. Avoid at all costs!!!!

Pros Seemed light. 1/2 the price of a Dyson Lots of "accessories" Cons Needs constant emptying and cleaning A few uses and you need to clean the various filters ( and they are very bloodywhere). A few cleans and you need to buy new filters Anything substantial ( like a 1cm bit of paper or 1cm length of hair/string) and it turns off and you have to empty everything to look for it. After 1 year it looks very tatty: decals faded, edges scuffed Tends to smash larger bits of "stuff" up before eventually picking them up I could go on, but I will stop. Too much effort to maintain and I have to regularly use my faithful back-up Dyson City Corded (now 12 years old) before or after to make sure the job is done. Have now binned it and bought a Dyson V10. £150 more, but absolutely no comparison in terms of quality, performance, ease of emptying, saving on "consumables", and longevity ( if my corded is anything to go by). You get what you pay for they say - well this is overpriced then. A Dyson Wannabee.

Really poor Hoover low suction, don't waste your money. Had to take it back twice in 18 months, tried to take the 3rd Hoover back and get money back because the suction is crap. And they wouldn't do anything about it. Even though it was under warranty . Ended up giving it away and buying a Bosch, which is 10 times better.

I purchased the Shark duoclean for approximately £360. The floor nozzle stopped working almost two years to the day since I purchased it, and I contacted Shark customer service to order a new one as it was still under warranty. The person I spoke to asked me my name and postcode and was able to find my details and told me my new part would be in the post. It never arrived, so I called again, spoke to a different person and was told that they had no record of me having a warranty. I asked them to listen to my previous phone call (as they record calls for training purposes) as that would verify that my warranty was on their system when I called the first time, but they advised that they didn’t have phone calls recorded that day. They wanted me to pay £70 to “reinstate” my warranty but couldn’t guarantee that the part would be covered!!! Absolute shambles of a company, would expect this from a cheap manufacturer but at almost £400 I am extremely disappointed and would not recommend Shark to anyone.

Shark by name, Sharks by nature! If I could rate them Zero Stars I would! Horrific company and will never buy from again. Their hoover parts are cheap and flimsy and apparently not at all covered under warranty. So once you’ve bought your product it’s tough luck on you when their parts snap and break rendering your hoover useless. Owned a Dyson for 10 years and never had an issue. Our Shark however started having issues after just one year And they don’t ever care. Horrific customer service and I’d never ever recommend them to anyone. Shark by name, sharks by nature!!!!!

As with anything lithium ion I've waited 6 months before reviewing. the battery has held up well. 15 mins on full power wich totally depleats the battery. It's good for a quick clean accidents and excellent for the car. My advice would be buy a second battery. Or you will be charging every day wich takes about 3 hrs.. Its lost a star because its £60 for a second battery. but overall good suction on full power. And handy and time saving due to the cordless. I would buy again

Dear Mr 26 April 2019, 21:00

A truly FANTASTIC PRODUCT at a VERY REASONABLE PRICE! 2 VERY MINOR COMMENTS: 1). The hose does NOT clip into the CENTRAL PIPE LOCATION very well. 2). The DUST CHAMBER IS very small.

Amazing absolutely love it. I hoover in the afternoon and it still picks up dust and dirt, even though Ive hoovered in the morning as well. Great suction. Fab on the stairs. Love seeing hoover lines in my carpet gives a real deep clean look. I also have thick rugs and works amazing. So impressed I’ve converted from dyson and vax. I can 100% say I’m never going back. shark all the way :-) only criticism it doesn’t work well on thin rugs. The suction is so powerful it gets sucked up and jams the roller. But I can live with avoiding those and shaking the thin rugs outside.

I would like to et people know what we think of our Shark Duo this is the third one I have got one for my father and to for me. I first came across them when on holiday in the U.S.A came home and got myself one, unfortunately I managed to break it so I went out and got another, I have to say it really is a wonderful product, love the pet hair tool. so I have to say I would recommend this product, also light weight great for the older person.
