Presto Music is the UK’s leading ecommerce site for classical and jazz recordings (CDs, DVDs, high quality downloads and vinyl), printed music, music books and musical instruments.
So easy to find the recordings I wanted, especially useful haveing a long-term wants list to refer to
Great service, swift reply to my request for refund, which they did straight away. Nice suggestions. I am very pleased with this professional level.
Was very pleased to find the music I wanted I'd heard on R3 easily. Ordering and downloading the album was really quick and easy.
I have been entirely satisfied with Presto Music, both their products and service. Currently I have a problem with the ordering system which I expect will be resolved soon. Malcolm McIntosh
Was looking for different recordings of a Saint-Saens piece. Search was easy, and Presto Music offered more than just a few choices, to the difference of other music websites. I also was surprised that one can listen a few seconds of the piece. And I discovered that FLAC is a better download choice than mp3 (I could hear the difference in sound dynamics and crispness).
With their huge catalog of classical music in high quatlity downloads it's fun to shop at Presto Music. Their weekly newsletter is very informative and inspiring. Even when I'm not actively looking for a particular recording their special offers on downloads do sometimes inspire me to add something to my collection.
It is simple, fast, and allows me to save in my cart until I am ready to buy. I only get downloads. Saves so much money. I would suggest your search having an exclude selection to help out.
Evrything is OK,I'am glad to discover into your site the disc with Virginia Zeani, undisponible in other sites. The price was verry good. One of the best soprano voices of golden age opera!
I am a classical music goer, from more time that I do not remember when I think most of the last sixty years. When I heard from you at the beginning of that century, I immediately realized you were the best option ever. Price, quality, and customer service always make a quick solution for any problem. And those qualities from whom live more than 14.000 ml from you are a blessed gift.
I liked very much the huge choice, how well the search engine works and the ease of ordering. Options for downloading files with two different formats is brilliant too !
I downloaded something for the first time but have questions.I've emailed the company twice and have had no replies.
Straightforward online process. Excellent recording quality!
"Fings aint wot they used to be." I have been a keen supporter of Presto since moving to the general area in mid 80's and discovering their tiny shop in Leamington Spa which always seemed to have something new to me. They have proved reliable regarding telephone sales and thereafter their on line offerings. I have enjoyed using their website which I found to be a valuable resource in discovering new music and comparing the quality of rival performances on disc by listening to the test snippets where provided. The icing on the cake are the digital downloads now on offer, particularly the HD versions which for "old" recordings eg Haitinks Bruckner Complete Symphonies cycle with the Concertgebouw, sound unbelievably good, even when played using the music App through my "old" iPhone11 to my B&W Bluetooth headphones whilst sat in the garden at a distance of 30 feet ! Remarkable! Alas, with the new incarnation of the once beautiful App, stylish, elegant, ready to use - 1 click on the icon and my library of purchased items was there on the screen, easy to navigate and rock solid in operation, we are now presented when the app icon is clicked with no library view whatsoever but instead a new website whose main purpose is promotion of the new streaming service. As I subscribe to Spotify extra which gives reasonable quality sound for casual listening and wide range of classical music I have no interest in another streaming service. Buried deep within Prestos new amalgamated website there does exist a convoluted route to the app itself - you may even be able to work out what this is with luck and a following wind and if the selection buttons work consistently on your touch screen. I prefer the one click route myself, but sadly no more.
Presto Music is amazing. It has almost everything. I am very happy with all my purchases.
Great selection of known and off-beat transcriptions of familiar pieces. Checkout and downloading are very straightforward.
I have been using Presto for a couple of years to buy recorded music (in digital formats). It only has jazz and classical music, but that is 75% of my library and 90% of my new purchases, so that's okay. Search functionality is *excellent*: which might seem like a solved problem, but is most certainly not. The ability to listen to a small sample is much appreciated (although being able to select which portion of a track to preview would be infinitely more useful). The catalogue of works is excellent: it allows you (with the preview, or more likely in my case) to compare different versions of the same piece of music to see which performance one likes best before purchasing. The ability to read reviews is not a feature I personally use, but I imagine if you had a favourite (most reliable) music critic/publication, it would be excellent. The metadata on the albums themselves are very imperfect (especially for classical music) but *much* better than anyone else's (especially Chandos: their ability to tag metadata is inversely proportional to their ability to record lovely music). The only real drawback is the inability to purchase multi-channel music (which some of their labels, like pentatone, chandos, and bis do have). This is the only reason I've not given them 5 stars, and I'm very much a "3 stars is a good review" person. I don't have their streaming service as there's no equivalent to "spotify connect", but I've been told it's excellent.
The service is clear and to-the-point. I experienced some confusion with your message "didn't you forget something at your checkout" or similar lines. For a moment I thought that my order was not complete, althought the required money was already taken from my account. However, the message was pertaining to possible other purchases. It might be a language based misunderstanding.
I've ordered for a good while from your website. I use it as a comparison with classics today to decide what to purchase. It helps me decide what is the best possible recordings are available. I really appreciate your fine service and help. I highly recommend this website. I only wish I lived closer because shipping costs are expensive. Thank you very much and keep doing what you do.
I’ve been using Presto to buy Classical music for the last two years and it’s such a relief to get away from the inaccurate descriptions on Amazon and having to stream over its horrid app. Presto is really well set up to display works and performers with pleasing clarity. Prices are competitive and periodic offers pique my curiosity. Choice is enormous and very comprehensive. On the very rare occasions I’ve needed it, after-sales service is excellent too.
Presto usually do a great job but I;m feeling pissed off this time. I ordered the Barnaby Smith CDs on download - they were fine but all that arrived with them were the front cover images and no playlists. It took me ages to get the correct running order into a usable form to printout. I don't expect (and don't want) a booklet but I think a simple playlist should be included in every download as standard.
