We visited California over Thanksgiving 2024. We had a Wine tour with Andy in Napa on a Monday, where we learned that not all places would ship wine to Michigan, so we purchased a box and figured we would check it in at the airport as a checked bag, until we realized 12 bottles of wine is VERY heavy! So we called and since we had a tour with Courtney in Sonoma in a couple days they told us to bring the box with us to that and they would ship it. Both guides were VERY nice Knowledgeable and helpful, we had an amazing time and would definitely use them again if we go back!

We had a fantastic day and it was all due to our driver and tour guy, Gary and the day’s plan and lunch provided by Platypus. The tour bus was comfortable and extremely clean. From the winery introductions to meeting the wine makers and/or their crew, we felt special and welcomed. Gary was very knowledgeable of the area, wineries and wine. Most importantly his outgoing personality added to a fun day 🍷.

This was really a fun tour. Our driver Courtney was great. Tour size is small enough to make new friends and enjoy the tasting experience.

Courtney L did a great job. She made everyone feel welcome and made sure we were taken care of. We visited a nice mix of wineries and had a great day.

This was our 2nd time using Platypus! Makes wine tasting a breeze! From initial booking to pickup to each tasting and then to drop off - awesome service! Highly recommend!

So glad we did our tour on our first day! Our driver was so informative about the area and really gave us a great overview.

We had a great experience with this tour, our guide Lou was great, very knowledgeable about wine and the NAPA valley story, he took us to three excellent wineries where I feel compelled to mention the TEDESCHI family winery as a special place, it is very small and ran by the original family that settled in the valley before vineyards where a thing in NAPA, and mister Tedeschi gave us an excellent presentation on how to make wine, very memorable to me.

My husband and I had a great time on our North Sonoma Valley tour with Rob! He was a fun tour guide and was knowledgeable about the wineries and about how to get our wine home. He collected the wine we purchased at each stop for us and had a system to remember who bought which bottles. We enjoyed the wineries we visited on this tour, and our fellow tourmates were fun as well!

We were on a tour in Sonoma with Steve and in Napa with Tess. Both drivers were awesome. They were knowledgeable and had so much information to share. The wineries they selected were great. We really liked the fact that the second winery each day was with the owner. That made it more special. I would definitely go on another tour if I get back to that area and I would highly recommend Platypus to my family and friends. Thank you for two great days!!

Chris Largent was excellent as a driver and guide. We will be asking for him again! We got to experience 3 small wineries that we would have never found otherwise. Each winery was unique and interesting, we especially enjoyed the Italian wines at Benessere.

Gary was awesome! Very good tour guide, treated us like he knew us all his life. We all had a great time Gary!!

Chris and Playpus are fantastic. From his smile, sense of humor, bus playlist and deep knowledge of wine and the carefully curated wineries we visited it was well worth it.

Our driver Andy was amazing. He was very knowledgeable about wine and taught us things we didn’t know. It was fun and definitely worth the money.

Tessa was fantastic! She was easy to talk to, took us to some amazing vineyards, and pointed out areas along the drive. The vineyards we re lovely, and opened our palet to new wines.

The guides are very knowledgeable and personable.
