Petstay (Isabel and Mike) first came to our rescue when our previous long term arrangements came to an abrupt end weeks before our son’s wedding in Brazil! Now we couldn’t contemplate going on holiday if Fergus wasn’t able to stay with them. When we collected him on Wednesday he barely raised an eyebrow and was almost, but not quite, disappointed to see us. We couldn’t hope for more. Thank you so much.
Very happy with the arrangements for our dog while we were away for 10 days. She was very happy and enjoyed her own holiday, getting loads of cuddles and walks, and we were happy to receive regular feedback and photos to reassure us.
This was our second time using Petstay after an excellent first impression. We were equally impressed on this occasion. Eleanor and her family clearly invested a great deal of time and care in looking after Honey. They were genuinely happy to have her in their home and enjoyed getting to know all her little eccentricities! Eleanor was fantastic to communicate with, very accommodating with timings of drop off and collection and sent us regular updates with an assortment of photos to show how Honey had settled in. She looked completely at home and was undoubtedly getting lots of attention. We would be very happy to send Honey to Eleanor and family again.
First experience of using Pet Stay and totally exceeded expectations. Booking was easy to complete on line with Amanda providing regular email updates. We required a 4 wk stay for Bella our staffy as would be visiting family in Australia. Bella was placed with a wonderful lady called Yvonne who invested so much time in getting to understand Bella’s, personality and needs. She provided regular updates by text, photos and videos which was so reassuring knowing she was settled and in such caring hands. It really was a ‘home from home’ and Bella definitely ‘landed on her paws’. Will definitely be using this service again and recommending to friends and family as a much preferred alternative to kennels.
I desperately needed a holiday, but with two Daxis who have VERY specific requirements, I thought it would never be possible. Would I have to resign myself to a life without a sunny getaway? I tried finding a house sitter—hopeless. Friends? No, this wasn't going to happen either. Then, I came across PetStay. It was my last resort before cancelling a much-needed break. I called Claire and explained the ‘problem’ with my Daxis: they need constant human company, cuddles, they sleep in the bed, and they are prone to accidents. I was convinced she wouldn’t have anyone willing to take them on. But Claire told me to be patient, and she would get back to me. She asked if we would be prepared to travel; we absolutely were to find the right carer/s for them. When I saw her name pop up on my phone, I was nervous, expecting bad news. Instead, she had found a local couple who were happy to take care of them! I couldn’t believe it—I wanted to cry with happiness. The entire process was seamless from start to finish. We met our prospective ‘Foster Dog Parents’ - all set up via PetStay - and instantly fell in love with them. Their wall was filled with framed photos of the dogs they had previously cared for, and their warmth, kindness, and patience reassured us. They shared stories about other dogs they cared for and are clearly loving and experienced dog carers. But would they be able to handle our Daxis? They agreed! All the paperwork was completed, and before we knew it, it was time for the Daxis to go on their holiday. Throughout our trip away, this wonderful couple sent daily photos and updates, allowing us to truly relax. Just before we left, Claire/PetStay emailed to confirm the details and finished by saying that the dogs would be "impeccably looked after." That word—impeccably—gave me such peace of mind, and she was absolutely right. A HUGE thank you to PetStay and our amazing foster couple. The Daxis behaved and J&S have said they would love to look after them again. Hooray!
We booked Petstay for an upcoming holiday and wanted our dog Billy to go for a trial weekend before we were away for longer. John and Frances welcomed us into their home and were clearly huge dog lovers, putting Billy at ease and giving him plenty of fuss! Billy had a lovely weekend with lots of walks and attention, even eating all his meals which he doesn’t always when we’re away! Thank you John and Frances, and thank you Petstay for putting us at ease leaving Billy whilst we are on holiday.
We had to go away for a few days, and were very apprehensive in leaving Biscuit. We could not leave Biscuit at a kennels, We found Pet stay on line and the reviews looked good. We were connected with a lovely lady called Kay Cameron, she was great with Biscuit she took her on lovely walks, and even met some of Kays friends whom she got lots of cuddles from which Biscuit absolutely loved.We will use Pet stay and hopefully Kay next time we have to leave Biscuit. Marie was a great choice and had to show a great deal of patience at first. Once Daisy got used to her new temporary family she was a star as was Marie. We have had no hesitation in booking her again. Thanks to Lauren for suggesting Marie.
We were nervous leaving our dog with a stranger for the first time but he could not have found a nicer home and a nicer couple for him to stay with. Hazel and her husband let him sleep on their bed, just as he would at home and we would not hesitate to leave him with them again. Thank you to Petstay for putting our mind at rest.
Seve the shihtzu loves going to stay at Betty's. We arrived this time and he was so happy to be there, tail up and going right into Betty's house. Seve is 11 years old and has lots of issues, but Betty is amazingly knowledgeable and experienced with dogs. She knows exactly how to deal with older dogs and is very enthusiastic and kind with Seve. He has a routine and Betty follows this superbly. Seve also loves looking out of windows and spending hours outside. Betty had realised Seve wanted to get up onto a lounge chair and see out a window, and so she found him a comfortable spot to window gaze! Betty is such an invaluable find for us, we have peace of mind that he is in great hands. Thank you Petstay, it's been a great service and find for us. We all enjoy going to Betty's 🐶👏
Our dog Cooper had a great return stay with Ann recently. It is wonderful to be able to relax on holiday knowing that he is being so well cared for. We have already booked in again for our next trip away!
We couldn't have asked for a better home-from-home for our dog, Bertie. He really bonded with his PetStay carers and they looked after him extremely well. They sent us daily photos and films and we could see he was settled and happy with them. We would definitely recommend this service!
We have used PetStay twice now and wouldn't hesitate to do so again. Both carers were excellent, caring and very capable, Grace was very well looked after by both and came home well and happy. It was great to know she had individual attention tailored to her needs, and we really appreciated the comments and photos we received daily.
Excellent service. Buster really annoyed his stay Ann. The photos of him enjoying his walks helped put my mind at rest. He came back happy and smiling, not stressed at all

Second time using PetStay Glasgow, Jane was super helpful & found the perfect lady for our older dog Holly, Margaret was so kind & welcoming, I took Holly for a couple of visits before we went on holiday which really helps. While we were on holiday Margaret made sure we got regular updates/ photos, meaning we could really relax & enjoy our time away knowing that Holly was so well looked after & as Holly is an older girl, it's important that all her feeding / walking schedules were kept exactly the same as at home, meaning Holly had her own wonderful holiday with all the one to one attention she got too, will definitely be booking for our next holiday & I've already recommended this company to a few friends, it's great to have such caring people that you can leave your beloved pets with knowing they are taken such good care of.
Obi had a fantastic time staying with Jill. She is so welcoming and friendly and clearly loves dogs. She even went above and beyond by still taking care of Obi with a broken foot. He's back for a few days in May and we know our boy will be spoilt rotten and in safe, experienced and caring hands.
We have used Petstay now three times. Every time the whole experience from booking onwards has been a good one with care taken to get things right for our dog and us. The peace of mind while on holiday cannot be underestimated and we would heartily recommend Petstay and its organisers and dog carers. We are already organising our next stay for Sparky.
The 'girls' had a lovely stay with Linda and Keith and enjoyed spending time with their grandchildren. As an older dog, Dolly has some health issues but these were managed very well and she has returned looking better then ever. The regular pictures and messages that Linda sent meant that we were certain they were both happy and well, and could relax and enjoy our holiday. We are already planning another holiday now we know that we can safely leave the girls to have a holiday of their own.
