NexGenT (DBA NGT Academy) was founded by two Air Force veterans who have trained thousands of engineers for the military. They have combined the military-style training philosophy of job readiness with decades of network engineering and cyber security experience working at Cisco Systems, Arista Networks, and Dimension Data into an immersive program to get people into cyber security or networking careers faster and more effectively than ever! NGT Academy is on a mission to help 1 million people get tech jobs by 2030. There will be 3 million unfilled cyber security jobs in the market by 2021. We want to close that skills gap by providing people an affordable education that gets them job-ready for a career in cyber security. NGT Academy believes that students shouldn’t be left with outrageous debt from degrees that don’t teach the required skills to succeed in the workplace. We believe we have the best program to equip anyone to be cyber security specialists in the fastest way possible. We believe in having a strong foundation in network architecture before students go into our cyber security training. Once the student masters the fundamentals in networking, they are better prepared to step into our cyber security training program along with real-world projects.
I had some knowledge of networking, but NGT laid it all out in an easy-to-learn way! The staff is very responsive, the tools provided will have you certified in to time! From me transitioning out of HR to IT I feel prepared for the future! Thank you NGT!
Very high quality programs. Walks you through step by step. At the end it all comes together. You just need to commit to it and stick with it.
Very well put-together instructional program! I learned a lot and it was laid out in a way that allowed me to learn despite not having much background in IT.
Learning how to do a resume correctly and professionally. The many different ways to do a resume, including the use of AI platforms. LinkedIn profiles are a lot more important than I gave them credit for. I did not realize that they can either make my career or break it. I guess I will have to look at it more seriously. I am always learning something new with this company and I will (I am sure) continue to learn new things in the days to come. Keep up the good work NGT!!!
My experience have been great so far because of the quality of the learning platform and help that is available to me.
Great presentation. Instructors are not boring.I had some health issues early on when i started and the staff was very helpful and assuring keeping me on track. I never felt like i was behind. My journey is just finally getting started. Cant wait to dive into cyber. Good things so far.
The step by step videos for the lab was my favorite part about the course. it was very hands and and super easy to understand and follow along with.
This is more a refresher course for me. I like how you are forced to think, research, and utilize what was taught in the modules in a comprehensive self-paced environment. Overall, great experience!
Thus far, I have learned a great deal about networking. I can't wait to continue learning!
Dear Chrystel Ergina (Erhina), It has been a wonderful experience working with you to build my IT professional resume. My resume is looking great, readability and stand out. It is really hard to change my career non-IT to IT professional. You have helped me with patient, love and care. It really touched me with your professionalism, compassion and feedback. I am very happy and I shall post my IT professional resume in Linked and in job search. I hope and pray that something good IT professional job will land as my new career in Network Engineer soon. I appreciate it very much for your time and working together. With kind regards, Nalini
I finished my FSNA Training course and I loved it. I learned so many things which I did not learn in college when I took the class. Jacob is amazing mentor and instructor.
It was a good experience for me. The online ease and accessibility of the resources available throughout the course was a plus for me.
I loved the interactive Labs. But I would have preferred more time to run some of them more than once or to try variations of a particular lab to see what the differences would be. But I can see there are time constraints. Some of the problems I had were personal problems; I spent 6 weeks in the hospital at the beginning, I have traumatic brain injury that affects my ability to learn/study. Even with my handicaps I was able to do the work just not fast enough for my own liking. I have designed and conducted certification classes for Auditors and that my color my experiences and thoughts too. The most significant issues I encountered were the misspellings, the incorrect examples, and the last of explanation. Again, I would say too, that I did not spend enough time pursuing enough outside class training on the internet which is my own fault.
The first course is called FSNA ( Full Stack Network Administration). It is the longest but most vital course you can take. That being said, there is no stress or pressure. You take good notes and study what you have, but not too hard. Just keep moving through all the modules comfortably once you reach the end. It is all worth it. You will be miles from where you started and feel more confident about your decision to take this course. I am grateful for the time and information NGT provided me. I completed this first module today, and writing my review after I passed my FSNA tests.
I've learned a lot. I feel like I have a good basic overview of networking with this.
This program was very well laid out and very well thought out
The frequent calls from Robin to check in were exceptionally motivating, especially when I wanted to quit. The training block was created simple enough for anyone to understand and follow along. The patience of the entire NexGenT team made the experience rewarding. No one wants to learn in a micromanaged and robotic atmosphere. Thank you, guys, and LEVEL UP!
The lessons are easy to follow and build your technical confidence incrementally. I’m nearly done and it’s amazing to see how far I’ve come in just four months. Having tried studying networking on my own before joining NGT Academy, I can definitely say it was an outstanding decision to join their program. The live sessions with networking pros like Nate and Bill, the one-on-ones with Karen with career resources, and the occasional check-in messages from Sam my sales rep, have been invaluable for technical questions, job market insights, and keeping me motivated. As a rookie to the industry it’s hard to know for certain, but I feel confident that by following NGT’s program, I’m good enough to get my foot in the door somewhere. Then, keep learning and the sky’s the limit!
If I had any issue with my own laptop, Ms. Brittany was there to assist. Love it!!!
Pushing my self doing 2 hours a day was hard but by achieving each module I feel excitement that i'm close to my goal in becoming a network engineer.
