What an awful experience dealing with this company. I ordered materials worth nearly £400 on Wednesday and had not received a delivery confirmation by the Friday morning so I gave them a call. I was told they would chase up the details and get back to me ASAP. Nothing heard. Monday, I gave them another call to find out what was going on (delivery was due the next day) only to be told they advise me to buy from elsewhere as they cannot source the materials. Best part of a week wasted on these cowboys. If you have tools or tradesmen booked for a date then avoid this company at all costs, they will let you down.

Timber was delivered quickly and as advertised.
It is always a lottery when ordering goods online especially from a new supplier. You have to trust the supplier and in particular those loading the goods so that twisted or cracked pieces of timber are not just thrown on without a care. I was pleasantly surprised by the top quality of the timber and plywood that I had ordered especially as the price that I had paid was far below my local timber merchants and diy suppliers.The timber and plywood arrived on the day agreed and the driver was very helpful I couldn’t ask for more.

Delivery booked for Thursday 6th June, no one bothered to inform me of the delay, on Friday I contacted them to check the status and they re-booked for the 11th, just before the weekend when no one else would book next day delivery until Monday, and the traders were supposed to do the job on Saturday.
DO NOT USE, ordered materials with a delivery date, called to check if its still going ahead, only to be told they haven't sourced the materials yet. They were supposed to be delivered the next day with tools and equipment ordered and paid for to complete the work! They had no idea when they could arrange delivery. Nit good enough, quick enough to take my money and book the dates. Steer clear
Placed an order for celotex insulation to be told they can’t source. I agreed to the alternative. I waited approx 4 working days to then just receive an email saying the order has been cancelled. This was at 5pm on the night before delivery. I get the building game is a logistical nightmare but that’s where customer service should step in. I should have been kept up to date. Will never use again.
Fantastic product and service , ordered and delivered within a week , the delivery was In 2 parts 1 came early the second on the date arranged . Delivery drivers called 20 minutes before arriving and helped to get it all into garden with us. We had some roadworks due on the delivery date so sent them information to bypass them and ensure smaller vehicle used and that message was passed onto drivers . Seamless and stressfree delivery of great quality lumber will come back again .

I have used materials market a number of times without any issues. Site is easy to use and if the item is available online, it has always arrived when promised. If not available, raise an enquiry. You might get lucky enough to have Jo deal with it for you. She pulled out all the stops, quoted and delivered next day. Fabulous. Thanks Jo.
Awful customer service. Had to ask for my confirmation which they did, confirmed delivery date and took payment. Just before lunchtime on the day of delivery they send me an email saying they are sending longer lengths than I wanted, made it much more difficult, and that delivery wouldn't be till the Monday! No apology at all, I replied asking for confirmation if they meant the timber delivery as I was also due another on the Monday anyway, and asking another question but they didn’t bother to reply. I sent another email Monday morning and again no reply. Still not had the other delivery that was due on the Monday either. Definitely won’t be using again. And the timber has splits but absolutely no point in contacting them. I just got an e-Mail from Trustpilot asking for more information about this order and if I didn’t do it then they could say my review wasn’t real. Wonder how many times they have done that.
Dont bother buying from these guys. It will delay your job and cost you money. Ordered and paid for materials and given delivery date. Received email notifying me of delivery difficulties the day before and no alternative. Was prepared to wait another 7 days but was offered a refund instead. Waste of time
I used Materials Market before for a few rolls of insulation and it was all ok but two weeks ago I placed a large order with acoustic insulation, soundblock boards, plasterboard and resilient bars. All in all well over £600. I chose a delivery date for the day before the work was due to commence. I received a phone call at 4pm on the afternoon before the delivery day to say they couldn't fulfill the order so they would have to cancel it. I asked which products were unavailable so they could still deliver the other products but they said it was all of them! I cannot believe this to be the case - most of these products are standard and widely available. I suspect they either messed up and couldn't deliver or simply didn't want to deliver because we're a long way up north. They wouldn't offer any assistance or compensation and I had to pull a lot of strings and pay a premium to get replacement materials delivered. My wife also had to drive over an hour to collect the resilient bars as they were not available locally. Overall a very bad experience and I will never use their services again and will warn others in the trade.
