Great price, communication, quality of product.
What a terrible first experience and never again, they show things in stock, you place an order and get a delivery date. Then last thing the day before delivery get an email, couldn’t even be bothered to phone, saying they could not get stock. Most probably, over promising on price. Now it looks like to my client that I am some sort of muppet that can’t arrange anything. Does us all a favour and shut your site as of my experience it’s not fit for purpose. Complete rubbish been in the trade for many years and it’s companies like you that make us have a bad name. Thank you for the reply, the order was quite simple. Some OSB board and Treated Timber readily available from lots of different suppliers in my area and your website showed that it was in stock. This looked more like the price you advertised was too low just to get an order, then you found out you couldn’t provide it for that price and just pulled the order. A simple message or phone call would have all that had been needed, fully stand by my original comments and will just use reliable suppliers in future.

Embarrassingly poor communication. I placed an order on Tuesday for Friday, and the only time I was informed that the delivery would be happening late (on the following Tuesday) was when I rang them up on Friday. No one rang me or even sent me an email - it was clear that the order was completely forgotten about. It’s impossible to treat Materials Market as a reliable source of materials (their company “about us” page is splashed all over about how the founders struggled to find materials in budget and on time) as long as this sort of thing happens. Use them if you don’t care when your order arrives. If you are working to any type of deadline, find someone else.

Joke of a company. On more than one occasion now (yes I have even given them the benefit of the doubt and been disappointed each time), they have failed to fulfil the order and no resolution whatsoever. I can’t understand how they are trading. If they can’t deliver a simple order of concrete blocks then what is their purpose? If you think (like me), that MM may offer you a searingly good delivery time and price, be prepared for the inevitable disappointment of non delivery!
Don't rely on anything being delivered when they say it will be. Large order put in, so free delivery, told a date for the delivery, then told there's a delay on part of it of more than a week. This was cancelled and refunded , but there'll still sending out one item out and charging me 80 quid delivery, as it's a small item. Cheeky f*****s. You need to sort out whatever system you have going on, because reading through the reviews(bit late now) this seems to be something this company does. Cheap prices but not worth the hassle I'm afraid
Good experience, materials delivered by local supplier at a good price. Was contacted proactively by customer services to check delivery address details, good service.

Ordered railway sleepers for delivery, made payment with no further update after 2 days or confirmation of order. Only after calling a few times was I informed that there was no stock and there was no estimate on delivery. Customer service rep unsure of how long the refund via PayPal would take. A total waste of time. Won't use them again.
I am having a nightmare, ordered 2 weeks ago, gave a delivery date of last Tuesday, didn't turn up, rung/emailed to ask what happened, said there is a problem, couldn't say when it would be delivered accept it wouldn't be tomorrow!! Still haven't got order a week later, still no delivery date.. I am a laud back patient person but this is taking the p!ss.. Now after 2 weeks of bull, they have canceled my order!! Terrible...
I ordered some wooden battens. The day before delivery was due, they cancelled the order saying they had no stock. I won't be back!
