Order was not delivered on the requested date. When I called they said they did not know why and then said it would be delivered a week later. Didn't even have the decency to call or email me to tell me it would not be delivered on the due date. Pushed our project out a week. Also found out that they don't stock any items themselves. They're just a website and they pass on your order to a local supplier with a markup. You're better off doing business directly with your local suppliers. UPDATE: - MM just tried to get this review removed. They requested I provide a load of personal information (phone number, etc.) in an attempt to get the review disqualified. So sad. Guys, honestly you'd do better just by reaching out to your customers directly and helping them with issues. I've changed 1 star reviews to higher in the past when co's have made an honest attempt to fix an error. But these games, they don't do you any favours..

Great prices fast service
4 day delivery and received a message on the last day that they could not supply and would refund. Left me stranded with work men on site. Communication needs to be better and earlier if there is a potential issue.

Used this company a few times with no issue.. they source the materials ordered from suppliers they have registered with them so no.. they don't hold the stock themselves but yes you will get a delivery from the stockist(s) they use at an excellent price with reliable delivery. Basically they save the customer from having to shop around for the best deals, as they do that for you.

It should be illegal to have sites like these, there is a list of materials listed, that they don't have in storage and they are also not sure they can buy the delivery, Google should ban this site, after waiting a week they canceled the order telling me, We're very sorry, but we aren't able to get your order out for delivery in time and must cancel your order. Way
The product was fine and the ordering simple. Unfortunately the delivery did not happen. The customer service guy was very helpful, whereas the depot which should have sent my purchase did not inform me that there was a problem. I eventually received my purchase two days late. The delivery person was not careful in how they unloaded my purchase (plywood sheets) and had it not been for the presence of my helper (I am disabled) I would have had sheets with damaged corners.

I needed some materials for my new patio and stumbled across this company online, as they were offering good competitive prices compared to the larger builders merchants. From start the finish they have been fantastic. I would highly recommend them to anyone who wants a good service, clear communication and on time delivery.
Excellent service. Significantly better prices than any of the wildly varying online prices for sheet material and CLS. Order confirmed next day and delivered when promised for a very good delivery rate. Materials were supplied and delivered by a local company I know and their direct prices were circa 50 to 130% higher! Keep up the good work.
I was initially apprehensive to make an order, after seeing some of the reviews on here. I had a big order to make (over 10 tonnes) but decided to place my order after being fobbed off by a local supplier. I placed my order and it was confirmed straight away. I decided to add some more items, Materials Market staff were able to add them on not once but twice. I had a bit of an issue with the supplier at first, they we're initially unable to deliver on the expected date, but arranged to deliver the following day. When it was delivered on the following day, one of the bags was split and couldn't be unloaded, but the driver went to a local branch and picked up a bag and delivered it straight away. Apart from the initial delivery problem, everything else was great, both from the Materials Market and Huws Grey, who supplied the materials. Great all around, I would definitely use MM again.
Thought I'd found a cost effective supplier for a home DIY project only to fall a week behind with the work due to none delivery of the materials. After placing my order on Wednesday 19th June and choosing my date from the available dates (Tuesday 25th) I was all ready to go, I had booked a weeks holiday from work to get the project start but that was not the case. I received a message late Sunday night saying my delivery was delayed as one of the items was out of stock and the new delivery date would be Wednesday 26th. I had made prior plans for the Wednesday so asked for the delivery to be made on Thursday 27th which was confirmed. Thursday came and still no delivery by 14.30 so I called customer services only to be told that the hiab on the lorry had broken down so my delivery might be with me later and to call back later if it didn't arrive, guess what it didn't arrive! So I called customer services back to be told that the hiab hadn't been fixed and wouldn't be fixed this week so my delivery would be rearranged for next week, I explained that I'd taken a week off of work to carry out this project so delivery next week wasn't an option and to cancel my order, straight away the agent said let me see if I can arrange for another company to carry out the delivery on Friday 28th, I agreed and was told I would get a call at 10am on Friday morning to confirm if he had managed to get another company to do the delivery. Bang on 10am the call come saying we are unable to find another company to do the delivery it would have to be next week. I have now cancelled my order and have to wait 10 days for my money back. In a nutshell what you think you are saving money wise you loose in lost time. I will not be using Materials Market again.

Wholly Negative. Took the order and was unable to supply the products I ordered. I recommend having no dealings with this company. Let’s Hope the refund is actioned! Update- still waiting for the refund on 2 July
Difficult to beat their prices. The majority of times I've used them, they've been able to source everything on time. Despite a couple of occasions when they weren't able to source the materials, I can't fault them. A wee tip that could've helped those who gave this company 1 star is if your order is 'acknowledged' but not 'confirmed' then it's unlikely you're getting your materials on time. I'll continue to use and recommend them.
Arrived on agreed date. Happy with quality and the amount that was in the bulk bags.
