Very very unprofessional and unreliable,this is the second time they have messed up my order,I have guys working in the property and was expecting the delivery for tomorrow and last minute they called me saying that it can’t be delivered,they are a joke.

Found everything I needed at a very competitive price. All delivered in good order and when it was supposed to be.
Promised delivery of material within 1-2 days via email and phone. I made payment and following day order was cancelled advising the supplier doesn't have the stock. They mentioned the supplier name who I contacted and the delivery was made next day.
Still waiting on item as not arrived on allocated day! Item I originally ordered should have been replaced with as substitute as original out of stock which again allocated time has been missed second time. Very disappointed and to top it off lost details of delivery address no call backs
Fasy delovery
I am trade, but was charged full rate. Tried to call to mention this and to amend order. Could not get through, kept getting cut off with 'we are experiencing technical issues'. Spent an hour trying to get through and sent numerous emails. Eventually got a call back, which they would amend the order but only charge the etc at trade! I was then put on hold and cut off again. Same thing happened trying to call back. Eventually received another email stating exactly the same unamended order at the same price... Many emails later I recieve another order to pay with the extras only but no trade price on the previous order I had paid! More unanswered cut off calls later and many emails saying I wanted to cancel the whole order, I get a call from their supplier saying they can deliver the correct one earlier than 3 days, and could arrive tomorrow. Great I say. Then receive call from materials market to say they can't send that unless it's canceled but they will do another at trade price and send the quote. 45 mins later the original email quote arrives at trade price but without the other items I need!! Now stuck in exactly the same loop I was originally after wasting 4 hours trying to get it sorted! Complete and utter waste of time.. Never known such a FAIL.
It was the best price I found. You comunicated well with the people who delivered. They delivered on time when I wanted it delivered.
Perfect supplying
Ordered plasterboard cls and screws. The order was cancelled by materials market the reason given was they couldn't get materials at the right price i had already paid and was expecting delivery next day. :0( had to cancel contractor as no one else could deliver at such short notice. To top it off still sent screws so now have two set absolute rubbish sevice will never use again.
Order was canceled after chasing them for delivery arrival time. The reason, they can not source the items for the price quoted!! wasted 4 days waiting for the materials. Disappointing!
I am very disappointed with the lack of transparency and poor service from Materials Direct. I placed an order in October 2024 and only received two of the items. The rest were refunded, yet I was still charged the full delivery cost of £77.50 – even though the larger items justifying that cost were not delivered. Shockingly, the delivery charge was greater than the value of the items I actually received. There is a complete lack of clear terms and conditions addressing delivery charges in cases of partial fulfillment, which leaves customers like me paying excessive fees with no justification. This experience was frustrating and inconvenient, and I expected far better service and transparency from a company of this scale. Materials Direct needs to review its policies and ensure customers aren’t unfairly charged in cases where orders are not fully delivered.
