I received an excellent service for a fantastic price.. I ordered as recommended by Materials Market a full pack of plasterboard at a great price, an extra £1 per board cheaper than ordering individually and they were cheapest on the internet, I'm just hoping their not reading my review just in case they put their prices up..😆 Anyway, by ordering a full pack of plasterboard I also received an excellent delivery service with a Moffitt forklift truck on the delivery lorry with an excellent delivery driver, I received a phone call from him half an hour before delivery and he put my plasterboard exactly where I wanted them on the driveway with his excellent driving skills.. No damage to my plasterboard and driveway at all which trust me is difficult with nearly two tons of plasterboard at the end of a forklift, well done everyone..👌😁
Required loft insulation boards for a home DIY installation job - 3 bed terraced house. I initially baulked at the delivery prices, assuming that this company primarily catered for 'trade' projects where 'big' deliveries were the norm. Then I tried to source locally, or from well-known suppliers to whom DIYers typically resort. It was quite surprising! The unit costs of materials from Materials Market were such that even taking into account delivery charges the total price easily undercut what I assumed would be more cost effective alternatives for the scale I was working at. A very positive materials sourcing experience!

Absolutely dreadful experience with Materials Market and cannot recommend strongly enough to steer clear of them. After placing my order and having my money taken, I was expecting delivery on the scheduled date. The day before, I contacted them to confirm the delivery time only to be told that part of my order couldn’t be fulfilled. Despite this, the very next morning — the supposed delivery day — I was informed the entire order was canceled. No prior consultation, no alternatives offered, just a blanket cancellation. To make matters worse, the items I ordered (basic essentials like 3x2s, plywood, and plasterboard) were supposedly part of their “core” series — products they claim to always have in stock. Yet, somehow, they were unable to procure them. When I asked for the option to fulfill even part of the order, I was bluntly told it wasn’t “worth the shipping cost.” Apparently, Materials Market decided unilaterally that the entire order wasn’t worth their effort, but at no point did they consult me on how much I might be willing to pay for delivery. Their dismissive attitude and lack of communication left me empty-handed and scrambling to source materials elsewhere. This company is completely unreliable, unprofessional, and seems to have no regard for customer satisfaction. Save yourself the frustration and look elsewhere for your materials needs!

First time ordering from MM (sheet insulation, insulated plasterboard, normal plasterboard). - good price - arrived on agreed day (around 11 am) which was good timing for me Driver polite and helped unloading and bringing materials inside the property overally, great experience!

Driver was helpful, and polite. product was in good condition. delivery turn round was quicker than many others on line and not over priced. Was one of best prices could find for what I wanted, but service was still 100% would use again (mixed sizes of pir insulation boards)
My first time using Materials Market and very happy with the experience. TBH I would have preferred to order directly from a local timber merchant but after alot of searching and quotes from other nearby companies, Materials Market were by far the cheapest. I placed my order on the Monday afternoon, received an e-mail on Tuesday stating delivery on the Friday. A text message from the driver first thing Friday morning and half an hour later it was delivered. Great service, would definitely use again.

I ordered some concrete blocks which were far cheaper than B&Q et cetera that us DIY could get locally were delivered exactly when specified by a lovely driver experience was very smooth… Would recommend this company the most of your building needs if like us you are doing something DIY can save quite a lot by going direct to the supplier
