Absolute joke of a company if you want reliability. Don't be sucked in by a few cheaper lengths of timber or board. You'll be left high and dry when they cancel the delivery at the very last minute without even trying to part fulfill your order or reschedule. The founders may have had frustration and therefore set up this company but they are truly worse than any of the bigger players who, in light of my last two epxeriences with MM, are almost angelic in how they operate. Also, when is does go wrong don't expect any explanation and just a few hollow words expressing how the usual "it's below our normal standards"....blah, blah blah. Not worth it folks and a lesson learned for those that just want to get on with grafting to put bread on the table and this shower who make the incompetence of our current government look like they know what they're doing...no I take that back, nothing could do that but they come really, really close - haha

I bought a sheet of plywood by visiting their store, having first establishing contact by email and getting the appropriate advise on thickness. They were most courteous, cut it on the spot and helped get it into the car. The price was also very fair. Their showroom shows a vast range of boards. Conveniently they have their own car-park.

I am extremely frustrated with this company. I ordered plywood for my store, and they delivered it at the wrong time—right in the middle of the road when my store was closed. The delivery was completely uncoordinated, and I was left with no way to move or store the plywood until I could get to the shop. When I finally checked the order, the plywood was badly damaged—bowed and warped—making it completely unusable for my project. I can't believe I paid for such poor-quality material. To make matters worse, customer service was unhelpful and did nothing to resolve the issue. This experience has been nothing but a hassle, and I will not be ordering from this company again. I strongly advise others to look elsewhere for their materials. Terrible service and subpar products.

If you are looking for building materials at budget prices then Materials Market are certainly worth considering. However, I've had mixed experiences with one order going well and the other order less well. Out of 4 items on the second order, only one was delivered successfully, they sent the wrong item for another and they just decided that they couldn't supply the other two items. When I contacted them they didn't seem to want to take responsibility for the wrong item and seemed to be expecting me to pay to send it back. Customer services seemed in disarray - they even called me back later about someone else's order. In future I'll probably pay the very slightly higher prices at my local supplier who have great customer service.
The delivery was days late but my main issue was there was no communication and I was left waiting not knowing what was going on. The lady I spoke to was very helpful
