Poor communication and unreliable. I ordered a moving kit with next day delivery on a Monday evening. I got an email on Wednesday saying a box type from the kit was out of stock, but I'd have my order by Friday. No word on Friday of a delivery coming so I called and they said they never got the restock so I wouldn't be getting my order. If I hadn't called, I wouldn't have found out. The woman on the phone offered to swap the box type and see what she could do about getting it delivered that day, but given that I had movers coming on Monday, that wasn't good enough. At no point in all this did they offer to refund my next day shipping costs, either. I called them back and cancelled my order. Luckily I had a someone who was able to drop round an order of boxes from Argos at a much cheaper price. What I don't get is how I was allowed to order an out of stock item in the first place. If you don't have the stock, don't let me order next day delivery and save us all the hassle.

Kayleigh Spooner in Customer Services was fantastic, she really knew her products, she was positive, proactive, and really wanted to find something for me. I think her words were “I don’t like to be beaten; I really want to find you something” – which was just amazing to hear. She found me a great product, informed me exactly where the product was held and what the lead times were. She also knew that the foam inserts were not glued on and could be removed, which is vital for me to know. So fantastic to find really knowledgeable, helpful and friendly people! Thanks Kayleigh!

I've made an order of a cardboard box and bubble wrap,with next day delivery. Didn't receive any tracking reference (the confirmation email said I would) and the next day I received only the bubble wrap (which was left by the outside door, without the courier even ringing the doorbell). I called the customer service asking about the box (which was the main point of the order) and only then I was told it was out of stock on that specific branch and that they've sent it from another branch, but it was sent and should be delivered the following day.. The following day nothing got delivered and I once again called customer service and was surprised as no one could tell me if the box had been sent (again - no tracking reference)… was told they'll look into it and would call me back, never did.. On the 3rd day I called again and still no box..and was told it might have been lost my the courier company and that they'll send yet a 2nd box free of charge..not so bad (or so I thought) It is now the 4th day (end of) and once again I had to call them since no box was delivered (again!). Now I was told the box is still out of stock and that they're waiting for restock... MacFarlane had 4 days (plus the weekend) to tell me they're out of stock?why didn't they tell me from day 1? Complete unprofessionalism, utter internal disorganization and very poor communication! Wouldn't use or recommend to anyone! Let's see how long will it take to receive my refund...

I am a new business and not an expert in packaging. Struggling to find the right stuff! and also at a reasonable price. After speaking to Rosie Fenn I was so pleased. Great advice, account sorted, order placed with next day delivery etc etc. All my problems solved in an instant with a great contact at the supplier. I now need to look no further than Macfarlane. We are moving house. It took me a while to find a company with such competitive prices and range of stock as MacFarlane packaging. While their website was highly irritating (difficult to update or delete the basket) but that may have been because I was ordering on a tablet and not a laptop. I was thrilled with the experience. Good prices, good stock, regularly updated on my delivery and the delivery itself was painless. I would highly recommend them.

I am currently overseas and working to a difficult delivery schedule in the UK when I get back. I have searched online for various packaging materials (to ship artworks to Europe) and found Macfalane to have the best variety of goods that I could find on the web and at the best prices. Not only this but their customer service (Hayley) has been just brilliant in sorting out logistics of delivery once I do get back to England. Excellent service and range of products.

Placed an order yesterday (thursday) and paid €10 to get next day delivery. Money went out immediately but I never received an invoice. Called the company friday lunchtime and they said ordered had been sent on Thursday afternoon. Called again Friday afternoon and lady tracked the order and advised that order was with the delivery driver. She agreed to send another invoice. Received call at 5pm to say order was sent to wrong depot. I called back asking for invoice and was fobbed off by head office. Can't see how it was sent to wrong depot when it was already with delivery driver. Now everyone gone for weekend and fobbed me off completely.
