I have one of the 8 drawer freezers which is ideal for our home grown produce as it has serious storage volume, I was also able to order an insulated panel that slides in to reduce the freezer size if not needing all the space too which is a smart idea. Panel ordered without any issue and does the job well. Fully recommend!
Product reliability is really poor, you buy Liebherr because the brand says quality and reliability but the opposite is true especially when it comes reliability. We bought an expensive integrated freezer and all we've had is issues. The customer service has been appalling. Our freezer has broken down and it going to take a month to get it sorted, firstly they said they new what the issue was and then they would get a engineer to fix it. The engineer turns up a week later and doesn't fix it he just says what's wrong with it which is exactly what the call centre had said was wrong with it. This is the third time the freezer has broken down within 2 years. Then they organise to come back and order the materials and say they need towo people to fit it. They organise to come back a week later. Then I take another day off work and in the afternoon they ring us up to say sorry can't come today as this job needs two men! What a surprise! And now they are saying they can't come back for two weeks because they only have two service engineers in the east Midlands and one is on holiday. How perthetic, what kind of service is this?
I bought a small freezer from Liebherr, within 3 months it was leaking drops of water by the door. I rang them, got through straightaway with no 'press this number' button hassle and was told a local engineer would come out. Local engineer rang me the same day and turned up the next, diagnosed a problem with the seal and ordered a new door. This was duly fitted. I was impressed by the level of customer service I received and how seamless everything was. I accept that things do go wrong with mechanical items - to me it shows the measure of a company in how professionally and painlessly they deal with it. A few months later my fridge died - a different brand and lots of run around with that manufacturer so I replaced it with a Liebherr on the strength of the customer service I had recieved with my freezer. Very happy.
Quite simply, Liebherr has the best Customer Service I have ever encountered - our new fridge-freezer arrived with a fault, and whoever I spoke to at Liebherr went above-and-beyond to arrange an engineer visit, a replacement unit, delivery and fitting - all in the shortest time possible (and the new unit is working perfectly!). (And no, I don't work for Liebherr - ha!).
Purchased a Liebherr SBSES8483 Fridge Freezer in June 2022 at a cost of £2,945. In January 2023 the ice maker stops working and I call Liebherr Customer Service. A 3rd party engineer arrives a few days later and is unable to resolve the problem. Shortly after he leaves I notice he's dented two doors. He reappeared a few days later and replaced the ice maker. Meanwhile Liebherr UK agree to order two new doors and have an engineer fit them. 8 weeks later, no doors, no engineer, no communication. I email and call Liebherr UK, who appear to be too busy in internal meetings to speak to me or resolve my issue. A really poor customer experience.
I purchased an Under Counter Freezer in March this year ( via AO.com ) and I have to say it is incredibly well made albeit at a much higher price point than the one it replaced and I only purchased this model after much research on customer feedback which was, in the main, excellent. Where it fell down a tad was the level of post-sale customer service. I needed to extend the product cable and emailed the company for advice as it was a brand new product and I didn't wish to affect the warranty in any way. The company took seven days to reply and stated that I can extend the lead but not by an excessively long one. I felt that the reply was an absolute minimum with no appreciation of buying one of their products. My concern was that the unit was rated as 1.3 amps in consumption but was fitted with a 13 amp fuse and I wanted reassurance that the product was correctly protected fuse wise and what specification cable I should use in the extension. I therefore phoned their customer service line and asked these very questions. Whoever it was I spoke to made me feel I was interrupting his day and that my questions were 'schoolboy foolish' in content and I felt he wanted me off the phone. It was awful. Sadly, this was a true reflection of the lack of customer care that is being reported lately in all sectors of retail.
Most unreliable fridge we have ever had. The milk was off again despite setting it at 4 degrees C. A monitor shows is as being 8 degrees C with higher peaks. It was initially repaired under warranty but the problem has never disappeared, it will work for a few weeks and then fail. Last time we turned it off for 48 hours to thoroughly defrost it but only a nominal amount of ice had built up. We religiously make sure the doors are closed as the magnetic seals are quite weak on this fridge. Followed up on the Liebherr response on 3/4/23, will try to reset as suggested (ie turn off for an hour and leave it for 4 hours to get stable) This did not work unfortunately. Just been on to their recommended repair company and it looks like it is uneconomic to repair as I could be charged as much as £600 to fix it and then only have a 3 month guarantee at best. Needless to say I will be going for a cheaper unit with a 5 year guarantee, I had thought that going for a premium brand I would be getting reliability but clearly not the case here.
My elderly, disabled mum purchased a very expensive Liebherr freezer in July last year. After only 7 months, the alarm started to sound. Unfortunately due to physical disability and Liebherr not having provided any product instructions or warranty documentation with the freezer, Mum could not ascertain how to locate the fault code. I had to excuse myself from work to rush home and call Liebherr for her, who initially refused to book an engineer to come because I could not provide a fault code! It was only when I said that wasn't a particularly fair way to treat a disabled person who had not been provided any product instructions that they reluctantly booked an engineer to visit. Fortunately the alarm sounded again a few minutes later and I found the fault code and immediately called Liebherr back, reaching the same man I spoke to previously. I was very annoyed when he guessed what the fault code was before I could tell him!! I asked if this was because this issue might be occurring more than it should and he avoided answering. The freezer proceeded to defrost overnight, despite the fact the motor was still running and all the contents thawed, were spoiled and had to be thrown away. As this was a tall freezer, this was a significant amount of food which was Mum's supply for meals for the next few days as she is housebound. Despite knowing in advance what the fault was, a faulty sensor, the engineer who attended did so knowing full well he was not carrying the part needed to carry out the repair. He also commented that while he usually only replaced about 6 of these sensors in a whole year, if that, this was the second he'd need to replace in a week! Fortunately our retailer stepped in to help with a freezer on loan until Liebherr got their act together and our retailer took the faulty one back to their store, pending the return of the engineer with a replacement sensor. Retailer contacted us a couple of days later to say the engineer had failed to show up, and there had been no contact from his company at all!! The retailer then had to put a complaint in and a further engineer from another firm was booked and came out, claimed that he knew straight away what the problem was and repaired it. Our retailer kept the freezer for a couple of days after to ensure everything was fine but then they called us to say that yet AGAIN, AFTER being confidently repaired, the freezer started to fail for a second time! Thankfully our retailer has said that we will not be having the product back as it is not fit for purpose and they have arranged to replace it with a product from another manufacturer. They have been far from impressed with what we have endured and gone out of their way to help. Liebherr had the audacity to say they would not compensate us for losses as per the terms and conditions of their warranty. I pointed out that we had never been provided with instructions for the product, let alone the warranty!! They were referring us to something they were under a duty to have provided and had not! After quite a battle, which included the threat of being reported to the Trading Standards Authority, they reluctantly agreed to a small amount of compensation (which did not cover all of our losses at all). This was only after two emails to them went unacknowledged and a staff member repeatedly gave me a wrong telephone number!! In short, Liebherr's products appear to be overpriced, overrated and in our case, absolutely not fit for purpose and of poor quality. Their customer service is just as bad. We will never consider buying their products again and most certainly will not be recommending them. It was an appalling situation from start to finish which has caused much stress, inconvenience and financial loss. Thankfully our retailer is capable of providing a level of service that Liebherr can only aspire to! They are an absolute disgrace!!!
Excellent customer service. Polite, helpful and efficient. Really refreshing to find a company that actually cares about its customers.
Extremely helpful customer services. I had queries about a second hand ff and was answered very promptly and consisly. Thanks! 😀
I had made an error when placing an order . Phoned to explain, the person I spoke to handle the call extremly professionaly and very quickly the problem was sorted
I bought a fridge from Liebherr through ao.com. The fridge door was bashed in at delivery in September 2022. A replacement door came and that one was also bashed in. After much chasing ao.com finally managed to deliver a fridge with a nice door this January 2023. Liebherr was not able to source a new door prior to this and not able to offer any compensation. To add to this the fridge I finally got only came with a European plug - advice I got was wait a week for a converter plug or just cut the wire and install a Uk plug yourself. Appalled by quality and customer service. It is only thanks to ao.com I finally got my fridge. It is not a premium product and definitely not premium customer support. Next time I think I’ll be better off getting a Samsung
We have a pair of built in fridge freezers. Originally installed 14 years ago we are now well into the lives of the 2nd pair. The ice maker is broken. Website denies our model exists. Email says click this link. I do. It says page not found. I email and ask just tell me part numbers to replace complete ice making unit. Reply says website not working at moment ....hope to be fixed soon. And by the way price rise imminent. No order numbers. Yeh thanks. Expensive, short life kit and less than helpful "help".
After first writing to me to say that the warranty starts from the purchase date, to their credit Liebherr Customer Service have now written to me to say that the warranty starts from the delivery date, as I said it should be. As for the appliances (T1810 Fridge and GNP1066 Freezer) they seem to be made of good quality materials (you get what you pay for - most of the time), they are spacious, quiet, keep their temperature very well, and both are frost free. The fridge has 4 shelves (most fridges have 3) and there are more options than in most fridges on where to position the shelves. The freezer has 3 drawers with a glass shelf beneath the top 2 drawers giving you the option to use the shelves instead of the drawers if that's what you prefer, there's even an alarm that goes off after 60 seconds if you accidentally don't fully close the door. As for longevity, only time will tell, these two appliances have replaced a standalone Hotpoint fridge freezer that lasted 32 years, and was still going. If these two new Liebherr appliances last another 32 years, then I'd be very happy, because I'd probably be dead by then.
Amazing service from start to finish. Thank you!
Extremely helpful and straight to the point. Great service
After contacting Liebherr with a problem with my fairly old fridge, they consulted their technical team who responded within a day with the possible cause. They provided the name of a local agent to carry out a repair. Repair now done, fault was correctly diagnosed, fridge now working. Good response from Liebherr for what is now an old product.
Excellent Service! Ordered my new double fridge freezer and was delivered quickly. The product itself was packaged really well. I'm loving the supercool function allowing me to reduce the fridge temperature ahead of my weekly food shop.
I can’t be happier with my purchase. The best fridge I ever had. My vegetables and fruits are fresh for longer. Can’t recommend enough. Really a life changer.
Customer service was excellent today. Reported a cracked/broken door handle on our year old fridge ( not accidental damage but somehow faulty) and they agreed to send a replacement.
