The quality of the product is excellent and so is customer service.
We’ve had the dual zone under counter wine cooler for around 5 years and it’s just been condemned by an authorised repairer. The cost was close to £3,000. The engineer came and re gassed the cooler but within 2 weeks it’s gone again. Also getting very hot to the point we’ve been advised to turn it off at the mains to avoid a risk of fire.Engineer said whilst other appliances he would have options to try and fix, with the design of the one we have (code on manual is 7083) it’s a know fact they cannot get access to the parts. So now stuck with a wine fridge that’s only fit for scrap and to do that we’ll need a return visit from the engineer £200 to remove it. If this review does not deter you from this brand don’t say I didn’t warn you. Update 5.9.24 : I have responded yesterday with the information Liebherr requested and await their reply.
I have had quite a few Liebherr fridges and freezers over the years. My large upright Liebherr freezer has been showing signs of age of late, but at over 25 years old and in continuous service the whole time I think that is OK. So, I have recently bought a new fridge and freezer. The freezer came from a third party, but it really is lovely. Massive, but o so quiet. The fridge was direct from Liebherr and arrived damaged. Liebherr UK Web sales couldn't have been better though and a replacement was sorted very easily with great care and attention. Excellent products, lovely people. I really do think this is an excellent brand, with splendid UK support.
Beatiful quality products, I just bought 2 fridges and a freezer of Liebherr but trying to use their app is a disaster. Better without or get it right.
I ordered some extra parts for my new Liebherr fridge but due to some confusion I ordered duplicate parts without realising. I was proactively contacted by Monae from the Liebherr UK webteam who said that she thought I had inadvertently ordered duplicates so had cancelled the surplus parts and had refunded my card for the surplus element of the order. I was hugely grateful for this as it saved me the annoyance and hassle of realising I had ordered duplicate parts and then having to try and return them to Liebherr for a refund. It’s so unusual these days to experience customer service where the company is actively trying to anticipate the needs of the customer and make their lives as easy as possible. Big thumbs up to Monae!
Don't buy Liebherr, unless you only want a fridge that lasts 26 months. My Liebherr fridge freezer's compressor failed two months out of warranty. Previously I had a Bosch and a Siemens fridge freezer, each of which lasted over 5.5 years in the same location. After a total of four calls with them, it was clear that the cost of repair would be the same as a new fridge, so I bought one (not Liebherr) and told them as much. They appeared to have no desire to do anything and, having advised them I had obtained a new fridge, they came in with an offer to repair it AFTER I had already purchased a new fridge and recycled theirs. I frankly don't understand whether that was incompetence or cynicism, but it was an offer of no value to me that was already impossible to accept and, frankly, somewhat insulting. Either way, my first and last time buying Liebherr.
Appalling customer service. Had a faulty under counter freezer, reported the issue. Contacted the engineer on their own website who asked what sort of noise and to be told freezers make a noise. Then customer services called me a liar, saying we did not contact them and we didn't register the warrantee, fortunately we had the call log and the warrantee email. A full freezer of food wasted with no compensation from the company. And no I'm not prepared to use my home insurance to claim! This company clearly are not in the business of looking after their customers in any way, we will never purchase anything with the Liebherr name on it again and I would advise anyone thinking of making a purchase to consider it very carefully.
A replacement I ordered arrived damaged ,somehow. Liebherr staff were apologetic, swift to reply,helpful and polite. Excellent service.
The service I received after having a little difficulty in obtaining a replacement part (small latch cover) was absolutely outstanding, going well beyond my expectations. Jane and Charlotte deserve medals!

Purchased liebherr free standing… Purchased liebherr free standing appliance and could not be happier with the product. Bio fresh draws is absolute dream, keep my veggies fresh feels like forever. Compare to my old fridge "hoover" we have no more food waste. fridge is very quiet, and consumes very little electricity.
Got the fridge freezer four years ago and the fridge part doesn't work anymore. Lights on, but not cooling at all. Initially it was freezing items in the salad box at the bottom, then simply stopped working. Haven't bothered contacting liebherr as can call out fees etc would not be worth it. Very disappointing.
I’d give no stars if possible! I purchased a 60/ 40 Frost free freezer, which it turns out isn’t actually frost free. In the last 3 months the freezer, for no apparent reason, has frosted up and makes a continuous loud buzzing. Liebherr advised me to switch off both the fridge and the freezer for 24 hours, which I have done on each occasion, losing a considerable amount of food in the process. Two days after I last did this the problem has simply recurred and I now have to call out an engineer with. £75 call out fee. The appliance is only 3 years old! My last fridge freezer lasted 14 years and I only replaced it because it got so scratched. Sincerely wish I hadn’t and certainly wish I’d never bought Liebherr.
I have bought a fridge -freezer CBNd 5723 in December 2023 but for objectives reasons I have not started to use it until recently. After 5 days of functioning, the engine started functioning almost without stopping and began making louder noises than before. Consequently, I have phoned the firm who is doing the service for Liebherr in Romania (PECEF) and they tried to convince me that the fridge-freezer functions well and I should not place a request for service. They even told me that I have to pay a fee if somehow, I only imagined that my Liebherr is not working properly. After several days and exchanged emails and not so pleasant conversations over the phone, the service came and they again they tried to convince me that the fridge-freezer is working fine although that I underline the fact that was not normal for the engine to function 40 minutes out of 60 minutes. I lived in one room apartment and the noise was really bothering me and I could not sleep during the night. The service even suggested that I should sleep in other room and in this way the noise it won’t be a problem!!! Finally, they said that my fridge did not have enough freon and they would come back to drill a hole in my fridge to introduce freon in it! How can you forget to put freon in fridge!!! Since I put a request for service, it has been more than 15 days and almost 2 weeks since the service came and I still not have my fridge -freezer repaired. I do not think that they will keep their word as the guaranty contract states clearly that if they did not repair it in a time span of 15 days they obliged to replace it with a new fridge-freezer. I have also written an email to home.see at Liebherr but I did not get any replay from them. To conclude, I do not recommend buying anything for Liebherr! Not only that the quality is very poor (although their products are quite expensive) but also their service at least in Romania are unhelpful and did not seem able to do the repairs. Thank you Liebherr for ruin my first month in my new home! I hope someone reads this review and will not repeat my mistake! I will never buy anything from Liebherr again!
We purchased a Liebherr T1810 Fridge in April 2021 after a lot of research. Our decision was based on the layout of the fridge and its internal capacity. So far it’s not let us down for the reasons we chose it. The layout of the shelves and cool boxes was far more flexible compared to the others we looked at. We’ve had to contact Liebherr Customer Services on a couple of occasions – they have responded promptly and have resolved the issues immediately - special thanks to Julie from their Customer Services department for her assistance and patience. We’re going to be extending our kitchen over the next few months and are currently considering swapping out the fridge and our old freezer for one the larger Liebherr American style fridge/freezers. Overall a great purchase – just gutted they don’t offer it in yellow to match their cranes
Always great customer service from Liebherr - this time it was Monae on the Websales team who chased down some spare parts (ordered during Liebherr IT upgrade) and had them delivered next day. Thank you!!
Bought a new large fridge before Christmas to make sure we had room and the entire family got food poisoning multiple times before getting a fridge thermometer to check it was working correctly. The fridge was telling me it was at 2 degrees and the thermometers are reading 11 degrees. I contacted customer services who booked a repair as it was a known issue with the model. On the day of the repair the engineer had none of the parts as Liebherr has failed to send them out to us or them. A new appointment has been booked in for two weeks time when they hope to have the parts. I am disappointed a known issue was not addressed through a product recall or similar and they were happy to keep selling equipment with a known issue. As I have now been without a functioning fridge all through November & December which isn't ideal for Christmas and am not likely to have it working until the end of January. Update 24th Jan I contacted customer services as requested in your reply who asked for further details to investigate and never responded any further. I have now been informed by the repair team the parts have not been delivered to them and it will be February at the earliest for them to attend if the parts have arrived by then. Hopefully I will have a fridge available by the end of February.
Just a warning about the filter. Only had the fridge freezer for 6 months when the filter symbol came up, assuming it was a fault I contacted customer service, only to be told this should be changed every 6 months at the buyers cost. The filter is only available from their shop and including postage is about £50, that is a lot extra cost every 6 months for the life of the fridge, so be warned as I am not impressed with this well hidden expense!
Terrible customer service. I phoned to get help ordering a spare part and was told it was easier online but I wasn’t told that the essential diagram isn’t shown on smart phones. Took the item out of its packaging only to find that it’s not correct and Liebherr won’t give me a refund because it was taken out of its packaging. Terrible advice from their customer service team
Our 6 year old wine fridge stopped working. Contacted Liebherr and an engineer arrived promptly. He diagnosed the fault, one of 3 possibilities, but spare parts were needed. We agreed a time and date, about a week later for the return visit with spares. He arrived exactly on time and replaced the faulty part. Excellent service, kept us informed throughout. Now we have our wine fridge back working. Thanks.
