It would be over two weeks before we had our boys remains returned to us, leaving us emotionally exhausted but otherwise delighted to have him home. We were dismayed to discover that our boy had been cremated only 3 days prior, according to his certificate of cremation. We were left wondering, where had our Barney been in all that time? With the coming of our darling family dogs 14th birthday, the topic of preparing for Maggie’s passing brought memories of our passed experience flooding back, and we vowed to honour her with a dignified cremation, right here in her home town of Bury. We recognised the need for a compassionate, local pet cremation service that offers bereaved pet owners the peace of mind that their pets will be treated with the utmost respect, will be revered every step of the way and are returned to their families swiftly so that they may all find comfort and closure in their pets passing. Individual Cremations - Designed to ensure the highest level of professionalism, care and dignity throughout the cremation process. Personally Returned - We aim to return your Pets ashes to you within 48 hours or same day where possible. --- Exclusively Individual Pet Cremations: - Extra Small Pets (hamsters, budgies etc.) - Small Pets (guinea pigs, rabbits etc.) - Cats - Dogs Personalised Paw Prints: Our stunning Personalised Paw Prints are taken prior to your pets cremation. We take several prints to ensure we get the perfect impression of your pet's paw. Once we've taken the print, we run it through our computer and print the paw-print out with your pets name situated below the paws. We then mount this print in one of our gorgeous white box frames for you to keep. You also receive all of the original prints we take prior to printing the final paw print. I sadly lost my pet dog Reva on valentines day,she was taken to Legacy after making an appointment with Eboni, who was so understanding and compassionate, then on arrival we where greeted by Fern, who again was so understanding and again compassionate and very professional explaining everything and showing us what we could choose. We loved the way thing's were done and how much dignity Reva was given as a loving and grieving owner's. On monday the 17th, We collected Reva for the store in Bury and where greeted by Annalise who again was so helpful,caring and very professional, we chatted about Reva and that helped us a lot. The total experience with Legacy, again has been very exemplary and beautiful handled all the staff we came into contact via phone or in person have been superb and are a credit to Legacy and John's professional and understanding beliefs THANK YOU ONE AND ALL AT LEGACY PETS CREMATION SERVICE ❤️💙❤️💙
on Wednesday I had to make the heartbreaking decision to have my beautiful cat Joe put to sleep and I was absolutely devastated. I came way from the vets and immediately phoned Legacy pets as I had used their service before. I had time to take my boy home to say a final goodbye to him and he was collected within 45 minutes of me speaking to the lovely lady over the phone. Joe was collected by a very kind man who laid him in a soft bed in his van giving me time to give him a gentle stroke and kiss goodbye. I was kept up to date with everything and Joe was returned to me 2 days later in his sleeping cat urn, beautifly displayed in a bag along with a candle and cremation certificate. He is now home resting peacefully surrounded by his loving family. Thank you Legacy pets for your care and kindness to myself and Joe at this extremely difficult time 💜🙏
From start to finish the care and understanding was outstanding. Absolute top class customer service, treated our little dog like their own. Transported her on her own in a little bed all tucked in. Put her little coat on her and made her look nice after CPR etc. such kind, personal touches,read out some words we had written for her before she was cremated, on her own with her favourite toys,blanket etc even flowers. Ashes personally delivered to our home 24 hours later in the engraved casket we ordered with some very thoughtful bits and pieces. Pet parents will understand how important all this is,truly the kindest people,we were devastated after the sudden loss of our 7 year old little dog after a tooth extraction which led to complications and her death within 24 hours. They couldn't have been nicer or more considerate. If you want your pet treated like you would treat them this is the place. I hope one day they will offer pet funerals then they can have the send off they truly deserve. Thankyou from the bottom of my heart, we will never forget what you did for us at our lowest moment.
Legacy Pets came highly recommended to us from my brother in law, who had used their services a while ago. The whole experience was one of professionalism, care, kindness, dignity, and understanding. when Charlie the vet came to our home, he was so compassionate and understanding, telling us about the whole process. It was so very peaceful to see our little girl, "Lola", just simply lie down and go to sleep. That sereneness was the same in the Chapel of Rest. When we went to collect her ashes, we met Paula. What a wonderful, caring and understanding person she was. She brought a smile to our faces when, in fact, we thought it would be the opposite. Legacy Pets is such a wonderful place to deal with, in such traumatic upsetting times. A great big thankyou to everyone who was involved in saying goodbye to to our little Staffy fur baby, "Lola". It's been a while since I've been able to Write this review. I found them on a Google search when my boy was telling me he was coming to the end of his life.. Legacy pets were so patient, understanding, supportive and there whenever I needed to call and set my day for them to come and help ease my boys pain. their Aftercare too was incredible. The most painful experience I have ever had in my life was having to say goodbye to my boy.. But Legacy Pets really helped in every way. Thank you. Thank you.
Amazing in every way from being on the phone to face to face absolutely fantastic made a sad time beautiful wonderful staff, beautiful place I know my lady Rosabaya was very well looked after and cared for untill I brought her home xxxx
At every stage of this very traumatic process, the team at Legacy gave outstanding compassionate service. The office team, the collection/ return driver and the kind vet who helped us through the last minutes were all brilliant. Our little cat could not have had a more peaceful last few minutes. The level of efficiency could not be faulted and their assurances to be prompt and sensitive with the cremation were more than warranted. I can only offer my sincerest thanks.
Contacted the company after losing my pet bird yesterday No reply whatsoever... if I wasn't upset enough this added to my grief Not what you need after your loss !!!!!!
I cannot recommend Legacy Pets highly enough. I lost my beautiful baby last week and they made the saddest time of my life more bearable. Ian the kind gentle man who came for my baby was amazing and stayed talking to me and didn’t rush me at all. Ian also brought my baby home and again stayed and talked to me. He completely understood what I was going through and I knew my baby was in the kindest safest hands. All the ladies I spoke with too from my first call when I could hardly talk were so caring and understanding. I cannot thank you all enough and have my precious baby home in a beautiful sleeping cat.
Wow, what a business. Unfortunately, initial contact is usually in your hour/s of need, yet John and Markus make this hour of need so much more manageable. John answered the phone straight away, listened to me and supported me. I am not sure I can properly put into words how his dealings made my hour of need so much easier. Markus, we met where we left our beloved dog, he was so lovely, kind and patient with us. The room is absolutely gorgeous and importantly, I knew my dog would be in the best care throughout the whole process. I cannot recommend Legacy enough to anyone who unfortunately looses a pet, but rest assured, you will feel that your pet is so so so so loved and looked after in their care. Thanks a million 💫💫💫
the time had come to let our staffy be at peace.shed just turned 16 ,1 october.georgie.had a great life with the kids then more with me hiking all over.john tunred up,myself and mam were obviously a mess very upset.he was so nice talked us through everything,but he just chilled us out he made the hole experience really nice.THANKYOU MATE.then another john was waiting to collect our girl.he was great,talked about his pets and what was going to happen to our georgie next.then she was gone.he called me soon after to just say they had arived safely.THANKYOU MATE.then the girls from the shop called me to check the details of what i wanted for our girls remains.so helpful.the call came and i went to collect her.it was lovley sat with me chating about our girl.THANKYOU. now i have some fur and ashes with me so once again were together hiking..THANKYOU ALL SO MUCH IT WAS PURFECT..REECE and DOREEN mi mum xx
We lost our 26 year old cat lem on 12/10/24 . Legacy pets were amazing and highly professional . John came to collect my little lady and was so lovely asked all about her life and why she was called Lem . John called me when Lem arrived back at legacy pets to say how she was and what a beautiful colour her coat was and was lovely when I got upset . My girl was also delivered home with paw prints , ashes and fur as an extra . A beautiful experience and I do highly recommend . My girl was so very respected throughout . ❤️
This place is really amazing in every way possible, The staff are brilliant and are professional at all times. We lost our fur baby on 22/10/2024 and Legacy Pets drove to our vets in Bolton to collect our baby and the next day we got to pay our final respects in the chapel of rest which we needed. When we got there we was so amazed at the layout and how peaceful our charlie looked they really took excellent care of him. We collected his ashes within 48 hours from the store in Bury which was beautiful, We have never heard about this company before but we are so glad we did and they looked after charlie. Highly recommened and could not thank you enough.
Legacy pets have been amazing, we took the horribly hard decision to let our beloved girl cross the rainbow bridge. They organised everything from start to finish, with kindness, care and compassion. The lady vet ( sadly don't know her name) was beyond superb, she gave us time to say goodbye, was kind and attentive to our Tai and supported us through the whole experience. As was the care team member that attended shortly after to take our girl away. I can't thank them all enough.
From the first point of contacting Legacy Pets we were and have been treated with dignity and respect in such a professional manner. They showed true compassion at a time when we were grieving the loss of our French bulldog Troy. We also loved how we got to see our beloved pet in their Chapel of Rest which is a really nice touch in beautiful surroundings. Also the packages they offer are superb... we now have our boy back at home with us at pride of place and cannot thank the whole team enough for all their hard work and dedication. All of the staff at Legacy Pet Cremation showed great compassion & empathy as they dealt with my beloved Charlie. They were friendly, efficient, professional, yet dignified & were reassuring about how he would be dealt with. I would not hesitate to recommend them to any bereaved pet owner.
Cannot praise this company enough from arranging my Jacks home euthanasia too him being brought back home. The first phone call was done with compassion, Charlie the vet was outstanding, Chris who picked Jack up and the lady who brought him home. Thank each and everyone of you ❤️
Where do I start. Legacy pets are amazing from the first phone call to bringing our beloved dog mylo back home. They went above and beyond each and everyone we dealt with. Everyone was so compassionate it made us feel our beloved mylo was being looked after very well. Legacy kept us up to date with every step.
