It would be over two weeks before we had our boys remains returned to us, leaving us emotionally exhausted but otherwise delighted to have him home. We were dismayed to discover that our boy had been cremated only 3 days prior, according to his certificate of cremation. We were left wondering, where had our Barney been in all that time? With the coming of our darling family dogs 14th birthday, the topic of preparing for Maggie’s passing brought memories of our passed experience flooding back, and we vowed to honour her with a dignified cremation, right here in her home town of Bury. Individual Cremations - Designed to ensure the highest level of professionalism, care and dignity throughout the cremation process. Personally Returned - We aim to return your Pets ashes to you within 48 hours or same day where possible. --- Exclusively Individual Pet Cremations: - Extra Small Pets (hamsters, budgies etc.) - Small Pets (guinea pigs, rabbits etc.) - Cats - Dogs Personalised Paw Prints: Our stunning Personalised Paw Prints are taken prior to your pets cremation. We take several prints to ensure we get the perfect impression of your pet's paw. Once we've taken the print, we run it through our computer and print the paw-print out with your pets name situated below the paws. We then mount this print in one of our gorgeous white box frames for you to keep. You also receive all of the original prints we take prior to printing the final paw print. I lost my beautiful boy Percy 6 weeks ago and used legacy pets to help him on his journey. They was absolutely fantastic from start to finish , the initial phone call enquiring and the chap I spoke to was so empathetic and understanding then on the day Anna the lovely vet was so gentle and loving then the collection and return of of my boy was wonderful. Thank you for allowing me to help my boy pass the way I wanted and for your care and respect. There are not enough stars to give this company, thank you from the bottom of my heart
When we lost our furry best friend on Tuesday, we didnt know where to turn. Legacy pets were amazing and spoke calmly and were really supportive - even though i was a wreck on the phone. We had initially booked the vet to come put Fly to sleep but turned out Fly had other ideas and was going to go on his own terms. So we phoned soon after to arrange collection. Mike turned up pretty quickly and sat down with us and spoke about what we would like them to do for Fly. Nothing was too big or small for Legacy. He rang to tell me when Fly had arrived safely into their care and he was still cuddled in his blanlet and on his bed - exactly how we left him. The cremation team rang to tell me when it was Fly's turn and today ( 7th July) we picked him up. We were informed every step of the way! On collection we met Norma who made us feel at ease and also loved the picture we had chosen. We had our 10 year old with us, so it was nice to see he was involved when we picked up Fly. I cant reccomend Legacy pets enough. Thank you for looking after our furry best friend 🐾💖
Our beloved Hamster passed away after being unwell for a few days, we were devastated and living in a flat were unsure of how we’d lay her to rest. We came across Legacy Pets Cremation Services and gave them a call the following morning at around 10:30am, we were able to drop off Biscuit at 12:30pm and we received a call at 9:45am the following morning advising she was ready to come home. All the staff we experienced were so lovely and empathetic, made us feel like our grief was valid and whilst our little fur baby was so tiny she was part of the family and they didn’t treat her as any less. When we collected her they explained how the cremation was done and how they treat her in those moments, we couldn’t be more grateful for how they made a hard time so much more bearable. Would highly recommend. Thank you
I can’t ask for a better vet when I had to have to say goodbye to my Akita Buster his back legs just went my own vet won’t come out, the vet was absolutely amazing who came to the house she didn’t rush us she talked us through everything the owner come to pick Buster up for cremation even then he talked us through everything it wasn’t rushed saying goodbye I got to say my goodbyes properly this was all very late at night he even rang me to tell me Buster got there safe, they were absolutely amazing I’m so glad we got to say goodbye to Buster with the amazing vet its heartbreaking as it is.
Its beyond words how much my soul is happy that i went to Legacy Pets to have my beautiful best friend Benson cremated. Paula, Claire, Norma and Milos mum, thank you deeply. Once I'd got his ashes I could stop crying. It really helped me and my kids more than I could imagine. I'll never forget my daughter telling me she could see Paula stroking Benson as we'd drove away after saying goodbye. Your all true angels. Animals are pure love.
I got in touch with legacy pets wen my old boy our ozzy started getting worse on his back legs and spoke with a lady called josie and was planning ahead as knew I would be broken wen the time came. Josie was very nice and helpful even though I was heartbroken she made sure I was OK and kept telling me to take my time. Wen I knew it was time I got back in touch and josh answered the call. I was a mess trying to sort a vet out as our ozzys vet couldn't attend so josh sorted all that out as well as making sure I was OK. Josh also stayed late and arrived early the next morning and stil making sure I was OK, so Thank You Josh. The vet arrived his name was Charlie he took his time and explained everything and was respectful of my wishes regarding our ozzy. So Thank You Charlie for being kind and respectful to our ozzy. Charlie left and within 5 minutes Mike arrived to take our ozzy to legacy pets Mike was very kind and respectful to our ozzy and myself he was gentle with our ozzy and layed him in the van with his Teddy and a blanket he looked asleep I also received a call off Mike about a hour or so later to tell me our ozzy was in the quiet room with his Teddy and blanketso Thank You Mike for looking after our ozzy. John brought our ozzy home Friday with his nose and paw print Thank You John for looking after our ozzy and making sure I was OK. Thank You Karen for looking after our ozzy wen he arrived. I am still heartbroken but Legacy Pets did give me comfort to know that he was being looked after and know we're he was with people that genuinely care for pets. We had to make the heart breaking decision to have Chilli (our 18 year old cat) put to sleep as she was suffering and from the first phone call Legacy were wonderful. Kind, compassionate and personal service - they treated Chilli like they knew her and with respect The vet was respectful and thoughtful explaining the process and being gentle such that what is a horrendous experience didn’t feel so bad The young man who then came to pick Chilli up within 5-10 mins after the vet left was again compassionate and treated Chilli with respect even placing her upfront with him in the van and strapping her in Picking up her ashes was also a personalised appointment and again staff were compassionate I would recommend the service

Everyone I spoke to at Legacy Pets was warm, caring and professional. I was given time to make decisions and they asked thoughtful questions about my lovely cat Willow. When I went to pick Willow up, I hadn't made an appointment but they still took the time to sit me down and explain everything. I recieved Willow's ashes in a lovely box along with her paw prints and all in a nicely presented bag with a candle. Excellent service and staff.
Our precious Margot was put to sleep on the 20.02.2023 unexpectedly. The vets had provided us with information with Legacy Pets, and slowed us time to grieve before approaching them. My mother in law arranged for collection and the package we wanted, and they were absolutely amazing with updating her to let us know when they had Margot in their care. Legacy Pets actually collect your fur baby from the vets in a dignified matter. No one prepares you for the loss of a loved one, and the sympathy and compassion showed in those days meant absolutely everything to us. To not have her home for a few days was the hardest thing we’ve had to go through, but with regular updates, it made it that little easier. On collection, we were greeted by Norma at the Bury branch, who allowed us time to reflect and talk about Margot. You can tell the people that work here genuinely do care and want to understand how much of a loss your fur baby is to you. We were given space and time to sit and talk to Norma about Margots life, and we never felt rushed or pressured. Norma showed us everything included. Everything was packaged absolutely beautifully. Margot now sits on our bedside table, with her nose, paw prints and fur surrounding her. Waking up feels a little easier knowing she will always be close to us forever. Thank you so much for making a difficult part of our lives a little easier.
Had a fabulous experience with legacy pets. After the sudden loss of our pet we had a lovely service from start to finish. Our dog was treated with the upmost respect and care whilst in their hands and it was reassuring as the owner to gain regular updates. We also got the ashes back within 48 hours, despite it being a weekend. Many thanks to all the team.
I would like to thank Legacy pets with all my heart for the great service they provide, Our hearts were broken when we had to have our beautiful girl Mitzee Moomin Owens put to sleep. The pain was unbearable I phoned Legacy pets the following day and they went to get our girl. From the very start they shown us so much love and support & it sort of made it a little easier knowing she was being taken care of every single aspect of every single person i spoke to was above & beyond any service of care they were there for me every step of the way they listened when I was upset and gave me so much support. They did everything so perfect for us & helped us on our way to trying to heal. Even when we went to pick her up the service provided was exceptional & I would like to thank Norma for being so kind & giving me & my daughter a big hug when we needed it most. Cannot rate Legacy Pets highly enough. My daughter was so upset when her hamster died, and they treated her and Toasty with sensitivity, respect and dignity. The little touches made her so happy, especially the paw print picture with her name, will be a treasured memory of her. The scatter tube is lovely, and will be perfect to bury inside a plant pot for her to remember her by.
When our beloved Bassett Wilson developed serious health issues we contacted Legacy Pets and they organised a vet to come to our house and help ease his pain and suffering. Although it was heart-breaking to lose our buddy, the way it was all handled was absolutely perfect. It was done with such caring and respect that i know we did the right thing contacting them. I cannot recommend them highly enough to help you through this incredibly difficult time. We now have his ashes and his paw and nose prints to forever remind us of him. Steve and Lisa

I have used legacy pets twice now due to loosing two animals in a short space of time. They go above and beyond every time and I wouldn’t go anywhere else. Each time the staff have been brilliant, it’s such a difficult time and they made it bearable and made me feel at ease. The caskets I received had beautiful engraving on them. I would 100% recommend anyone to use legacy pets.
