Legacy Pets Cremation Services Ltd Triple Award Winning Pet Crematorium: "The North West Business Awards - Best Customer Service 20/21" "Prestige England Awards - Pet Crematorium of The Year 20/21" “Made in Manchester’s Team of The Year 2022” "Greater Manchester Business Awards 2022 - Innovative Business During Covid-19" --- Our Story: After the passing of our family cat Barney in 2011, we parted with our baby boy at our local vet and waited in earnest for his return home. It would be over two weeks before we had our boys remains returned to us, leaving us emotionally exhausted but otherwise delighted to have him home. We were dismayed to discover that our boy had been cremated only 3 days prior, according to his certificate of cremation. We were left wondering, where had our Barney been in all that time? With the coming of our darling family dogs 14th birthday, the topic of preparing for Maggie’s passing brought memories of our passed experience flooding back, and we vowed to honour her with a dignified cremation, right here in her home town of Bury. We recognised the need for a compassionate, local pet cremation service that offers bereaved pet owners the peace of mind that their pets will be treated with the utmost respect, will be revered every step of the way and are returned to their families swiftly so that they may all find comfort and closure in their pets passing. With that Legacy Pets was founded, dedicated to providing compassionate support to each and every family we serve. Our dog Monty (a shih tzu who was 15) was terminally ill. When I say he was our dog I mean he was our son... He had been suffering from an enlarged heart for nearly 3 years and after being given 12 months to live by the vets, (he proved them wrong) he recently started suffering from heart failure and seizures and we knew it was time to make that horrible decision that you have to make, I looked around on the internet and found legacy pets cremation services who provided the most fantastic and utterly amazing service. When I phoned I spoke to John he was completely caring and understanding of what had happened and even though I was blubbing on the phone he was so patient and understanding as to what had happened and what needed to be done he explained clearly to me everything that needed to be done and 2 days later a vet came to our house and we said goodbye to our beautiful lad in his home surroundings... it couldn't have been nicer... 10-minutes later legacy's van arrived and after a lovely chat with Chris the driver he took our son away to be cremated. Forty eight hours later we have our beautiful boy back with us and cannot be more pleased with the service we received. God bless all of you that work there especially John, Chris, and Claire, and thank you for all you have done for our beautiful son Monty.🌈💔
From the start they seemed an excellent service , spoke on the phone firstly , nicely & respective chat , came quickly , in uniform , asked about her chatted , explained everything n packages for Ruby ( chose metal urn ) , the procedure s n that our pets are kept cool n attended too ( on padded blanket & Pillows until the cremation . Taken to the van where he lay her down n put pillow under her head ( so sweet ) , the ladies at the Center where I collected her from equally as well presented n lovely, guided me through everything, well presented in beautiful bronzed urn candle & viles of her hair ; all in a beautiful strong purple bag ( she was quite heavy even in the urn😊🐾
During an extremely difficult time Legacy Pets we’re professional, reassuring, empathetic and kind. They talked us through exactly what would happen with Bob whilst he was in their care, spoke about options and made us feel at ease As ease as we could be. They delivered Bob to us just 2 days after and worked around my working hours. The packaging itself was professional, and inside there was Bob’s ashes in a Mahogany box with the engraving we asked for. A framed and personalised paw print, 2 copies of 3 other paw prints (+£20 but 100% worth it in my opinion), a vanilla scented candle and a certificate in a wax sealed envelope. Couldn’t ask for a better service during this horrible time. Couldn’t recommend more! Thank You, LW
The service that Legacy Pets provide is absolutely amazing, I couldn’t recommend this service more to anybody who is looking for the best aftercare for your pet when they pass away. My last goodbyes helped me feel a lot more at ease seeing her rested looking comfortable and peaceful As she passed away in my arms on the way to emergency I thought that I wouldn’t of been able to see her again… The quality from legacy pets was consistently top notch from when they picked up my beloved pet to when I got her ashes back. Everything is clean, tidy and stylish.. The Legacy packaging And presentation is very excellent. I just want to say a MASSIVE Thank You & that I’m so grateful and appreciate the founders of Legacy Pets and All of the staff who work at Legacy Pets. Much appreciation and love to everyone who looked after and cared for My Topcat Panda Thanks again
Legacy made our little boys final journey pass with care and compassion. Chris was great and his caring nature helped immensely on this most difficult day of our lives. The momentoes we received in rememberance are perfect.
We cannot thank Karen and her staff enough for the care , love & empathy shown to us and our beautiful little man Casper. Every aspect exceeded our expectations from the time we dropped our boy off to receiving him back in to our home. We are totally overwhelmed. Thank you. XXX
Hi folks, it's Mat and Sophie here - we just wanted to say a huge thank you for the gentle, kind and comforting way you came to the aid of our beloved Nala over the last couple of days. A heartbreakingly sudden case of kidney failure forced us to end her suffering and we could never have imagined the kind of compassion we would received from your group. The fact that this is a family run business really shows, and every single person we met along the way was so sweet and understanding at this hugely difficult time. Thank you Ann, for such comforting gentility in shepherding our Nala over the bridge. Chris, for your kindness during collection and for ensuring the process and final arrangements were perfect, and finally Jade for your unbelievable generosity when it was time for Nala to return home. We'll never forget what you all did for us and for her, and we wouldn't hesitate in recommending you in the future. Thank you for allowing us to say goodbye in a place she loved all her life, instead of a strange place full of unfamiliar and fearful sights and smells. It really makes a difference and you guys should be immensely proud of the heart-rending work you do every day. With love and thanks, Mat & Sophie xx
As a family we are heartbroken at the loss of our beautiful girl Sophie on 18.06.22. We can not thank Legacy Pets enough, they made an extremely heartbreaking day that bit easier with their compassion & support. Chris treated our beautiful girl with such care & dignity. Sophie deserved nothing but the best, Chris & Legacy gave her just that. We also want to thank Harry & Karen, I was very emotional when I called but speaking to them once our girl was in their care gave us comfort, especially when Karen said she would go & get a coffee, sit with Sophie & tell her how much we all love her. It gives us so much comfort knowing that our beautiful girl was so well looked after whilst she was in the care of Legacy Pets. We really can not thank you enough! Kelly, Neil & Harry xx
Excellent service by legacy pets for our 11.7 year old dog RILEY (King Charles cavalier) had to make the heartbreaking decision for Riley to be pts on 24.05.22! His organs were failing and we couldn’t see him go through any pain or suffer! Making the phone call was hard and upsetting… but the compassion from the first call to the collecting of Riley back up after his cremation was extremely genuine and sincere by all the staff. Our family cannot thankyou enough for looking after and giving Riley the best send off ever! He went with dignity and we feel comforted by the way he was treated. It’s still very raw our emotions but he’s back home now where he belongs and amazing paw and nose prints with cutting of his hair! Thanks again and sorry for being a blubbering wreck. Love lisa and Paul xx
We have recently needed to say goodbye to our beloved friend, Legacy Pets have made this extremely painful experience seamless and I cannot thank the team enough. Their compassion, support and attention to detail was flawless. Everything was arranged in a respectful and dignified way even down to details which I could never have imagined were possible, in times like these you need to put your complete trust and faith into someone else which can be difficult, legacy pets went above and beyond at each stage to build trust and confidence (not one of their team was a minute early or a minute late and this really matters). Thank you so much Legacy Pets
What an amazing service, we were so grateful our keano passed with us at home yesterday as arranged, we had a call earlier confirming her ashes are on their way home, she is now home beautifully presented, lovely caring sympathetic team. Thank you
What can I say all fur baby parents will understand how devastated you feel after losing your baby. The next step is completely out of your hands and just as devastating, wondering how your baby will be treated and looked after. When we lost our special little man Zak he had to stay in the vets for 3 days then a further 3 until we were reunited. The longest 6 days we had been apart. That was before Legacy pets . Yesterday Barney went to sleep forever. Today we were reunited and he is back where he belongs with his family. What can I say! What a wonderful team, from the lady who dealt with my blubbering mum on the phone to the 2 lovely people who picked up and brought Barney home. I was reassured Barney would be treated with love and care. Caring, compassionate, brilliant company.
This is an excellent company. They co-ordinated seamlessly with the vet at Cloud9 and came out on Friday 29th April 2022, delivering our beautiful George back to us on bank holiday Monday. Very compassionate throughout, with a phone call to say he had arrived with them and also a call to say he was on his way home on Monday. A small company that genuinely cares about pets and their bereaved owners. Not cheap but worth every penny to give our 18 year old rescue dog a great send off. Thank you.
Such kind and loving people, its the hardest thing ever being put in a position of having to put your pet to sleep. We had to do this yesterday and Legacy was first class. Everything explained to us, our beautiful girl Misty was treated with so much compassion and all our wishes respected. Misty was able to be in her own home in the arms of her loving family. I would recommend this service to everyone. Thank you Legacy for treating our little girl with dignity and respect.
What an amazing caring company. Mark arrived on time. Explained everything to us and seemed genuinely sorry for our loss. Our pet was treated with respect. An excellent service at a difficult time.
Can’t recommend this company enough. Unfortunately we had to say goodbye to our 14 year old lab last night and legacypets were amazing. Made the whole experience more bearable. James the vet was so caring . Our dog passed very peacefully with all of us with her. John came to take her away and he was great. So sympathetic and caring. I’ve lost dogs before and this was by far the most peaceful thank you .
It’s too early to be writing reviews really after the passing of my darling boy but I really wanted to pay tribute to the beautiful service I received...There had been a mixup on the day of cremation due to my misunderstanding. Instead of adding to my grief Legacy pulled out all the stops and cremated my boy for me outside of normal hours to lessen my grief.. They came for him and even brought him home the same day, well it was the evening to be honest, they’d been with my boy, and just for my boy all day and into the evening. Everything was beautifully presented when they brought him home, 6 little bottles of fur that you can put on a key ring, a little packet of ashes that had been carefully treated with extra attention, and a set of framed prints of his paws that had been carefully selected from several prints to give the best image.. the unused ones were included. And the little candle helped make an instant little zone to welcome your pet back home... They were very accommodating, very calming, rational and sympathetic. The chap who brought him home, held a quiet, deep forward thinking spirituality that was much appreciated. Thank you very much to the team who helped to ease a bad time...
Just a brilliant service, and a superb memorial package to accompany my pet's ashes. Thank you.
