It would be over two weeks before we had our boys remains returned to us, leaving us emotionally exhausted but otherwise delighted to have him home. We were dismayed to discover that our boy had been cremated only 3 days prior, according to his certificate of cremation. We were left wondering, where had our Barney been in all that time? With the coming of our darling family dogs 14th birthday, the topic of preparing for Maggie’s passing brought memories of our passed experience flooding back, and we vowed to honour her with a dignified cremation, right here in her home town of Bury. We recognised the need for a compassionate, local pet cremation service that offers bereaved pet owners the peace of mind that their pets will be treated with the utmost respect, will be revered every step of the way and are returned to their families swiftly so that they may all find comfort and closure in their pets passing. With that Legacy Pets was founded, dedicated to providing compassionate support to each and every family we serve. We provide a beautiful and serene environment to say your final goodbyes and offer a range of hand selected urns and keepsakes for you to cherish. --- 24/7 Collection - In the unfortunate circumstance that your pet passed away, we offer a service to your home. Individual Cremations - Designed to ensure the highest level of professionalism, care and dignity throughout the cremation process. Personally Returned - We aim to return your Pets ashes to you within 48 hours or same day where possible. --- Exclusively Individual Pet Cremations: - Extra Small Pets (hamsters, budgies etc.) - Small Pets (guinea pigs, rabbits etc.) - Cats - Dogs Personalised Paw Prints: Our stunning Personalised Paw Prints are taken prior to your pets cremation. We take several prints to ensure we get the perfect impression of your pet's paw. Once we've taken the print, we run it through our computer and print the paw-print out with your pets name situated below the paws. We then mount this print in one of our gorgeous white box frames for you to keep. You also receive all of the original prints we take prior to printing the final paw print. What a fantastic service Legacy Pets offer. Everyone I have dealt with has been so kind and compassionate from start to finish. From the lovely man I spoke to on the phone, the vet who came to my home to help my Romeo over the rainbow bridge and the lovely man who came afterwards to take my boy away in a lovely bed with such care and dignity. My best friend was home where he belonged the very next day so I can scatter his ashes in his favourite places. The care the team at Legacy show is far better than the experiences I've had in the past dealing with previous losses. Thanks so much to all of you.
My beautiful boy Bruno was put to sleep by legacy due to ill health. I was recommended to use them. I have never had such a poor experience with a company meant to care about animals. The Vet they sent - Jack - was completely apathetic. It was undeniably clear that it was just a job to him, a tick box. But it wasn't to me! Bruno was my baby. The process was rushed. His talk was robotic and you could tell it was just rehearsed. There was no personal service, no building of a relationship - he didn't even stroke him. He seemed bored to be honest. His attire wasn't clean. He looked tired. It was unprofessional and I felt embarrassed. This was the biggest decision of my life and the Vet they sent to put my dog to sleep looked bored and tired and did not care. I WISH i had taken him to my own vets. They at least new Bruno. I thought having him put to sleep at home would be better but it wasn't. I DO NOT recommend using legacy pets for a home goodbye. Avoid at all costs. I will say the staff I spoke to on the phone were lovely and tried to understand and support me.
Losing our little boy was heartbreaking but everyone at Legacy Pets made it as smooth as possible. The service is extremely quick and professional. All of the staff we spoke to knew exactly the correct things to say. Fingers crossed we do not need to visit again anytime soon, but when the time comes, we will 100% be choosing Legacy Pets again.
We had to put my beloved Bassett hound Gertrude to sleep this morning. Called Legacypets at 9.00am and by 12pm my beautiful hound was put to sleep peacefully in my own home. Both the vet Sheena and the gent who collected Gertie for cremation Shaun, were amazing! Both so empathetic and kind at such a distressing time, this made a massive difference. The grieving process will be horrific, but this superb company has made this ever so slightly easier.
Simply put, amazing!! Dealing with the loss of my beautiful baby girl cat Sausage is an ongoing struggle. It's very hard for me to cope with but Legacy Pets have been unbelievably fantastic taking care of her. I Recently had to have my precious Boy Kaiser put to sleep,I can't Thank Legacy pets Enough, right from the First phone call up until I got him home ,They Treated me and my Son and Kaiser with such Kindness and Respect ,I would Highly recommend them to Everyone ❤️
Thank you to the whole team for your caring and respectful service. From start to finish in such sad circumstances every interaction was carried out with compassion. The owner of legacy pets (sorry forgot his name) who collected my beloved dog of 14years was so lovely. He really went the extra mile when he came to collect lula and genuinely cared. % Absolutely Fantastic Service, from the very first call I made to Legacy Pets, from collecting my Princess and returning her home, Everybody who I spoke to were Caring, Considerate, thoughtful, they listened and answered all of my questions that I had, they explained everything and more, they were there all the way through the process and even telephoned me to give updates. At a sad time Legacy Pets Cremation Services were Brilliant and I did not worry about a thing as they put you at ease, Their products are first class too, and are presented beautifly. From first phone call to Harry everything was professional, called at 9.30am discussion with Josh who rang back at 9.55 to confirm he’d found a vet for home visit to arrive with us at 10.45, traveling all the way from Warrington to Bury. Lady vet arrived 10.50 took time to explain things, very professional and gave us time. Chantel & Callum arrived and explained everything to us, Leo was handled with such dignity, we had time with him once in van, nothing was too much trouble. Next day we collected Leo’s ash’s from shop, was really impressed. Again we were treated professionally, given time to talk about Leo, even bringing tears to girls eye. Again massive thanks to all Legacy team for looking after our boy Leo on his final journey.
I honestly can't thank john and his team who helped look after my wolfywho sadly passed away at the weekend. They arrive promptly and have been nothing but heartwarming. Wolfy is now back home were he belongs Thankyou so much legacy pets
I really don't know where to begin. I can never ever thank Legacy Pets enough for the outstanding care and compassion they have shown us and our darling little Ernie over the last few days. Ernie was our 14.5 year old Shih Tzu. For the past two years he had suffered with heart problems. Sadly in the last week his health had really deteriorated and we had to make the most difficult decision to help him on his final journey as he no longer had quality of life. We arranged for home euthanasia with Legacy. My husband was with him as I could not bear to be present. The lady vet arrived at the time planned and talked him through everything, Ernie left us so peacefully. Within 15 minutes a lovely young man came to collect him, telling my husband to take all the time he needed to say goodbye and allowing him to carry Ernie out to the van himself where he was placed on a lovely little bed. Today I went to collect our beloved Ernies ashes, which were beautifully presented, alongside a rainbow print of his paw, vials of his fur and a lovely candle. The lady who met us was so compassionate, going through everything with us and taking time to ask us about Ernie. They have truly made one of the heartbreaking times, so much more bearable with their exceptional service and going above and beyond in every way. I cannot recommend them enough. We have two other little doggies and I pray it will be a very long time before we need to call upon their services, but we will certainly turn to them again. Thank you from the bottom of our heart.
We cannot thank Legacy Pets enough, for the compassion and support we received, when we lost our beautiful boy Rufus. Even though we’re absolutely heartbroken, we take comfort in knowing that Rufus was treated with much love and dignity during every step of his final journey, and we are so grateful for the aftercare we have received too. We can't thank you enough for making what was an incredibly emotional time for us less stressful. You treated us with kindness and empathy with such professional service, We felt as though our Rococo had been left in good hands on his final journey. We now have a lovely cat casket to treasure and he will always be with us. Good luck with the development of the cremation site, we need a personal service like this for our beloved animals. I would like to thank Legacy pets for a truly wonderful and respectful service in what is a very difficult situation. We just lost “our boy” Alonso after 16 years but the way Legacy dealt with it all helped ease the pain a little. Once again, thank you very much.
My husband and I cannot thank Legacy Pets enough for the kind and compassionate way they handled the passing of our beautiful chocolate Labrador, Ollie. The experience was difficult enough, losing a loving and loyal member of our family of nearly 14 years, but Legacy Pets were everything you would want during such an awful time. They kindly picked up Ollie from the vets on the same day as he went to sleep and kept us informed every step of the way. Ollie was returned to us in an elegant casket, with a beautiful memory candle, and he is now home where he belongs. Thank you to everyone at Legacy Pets and we would highly recommend them to everyone during such a sad time.
