Be Aware.... This company is a pure scam. they make me sign a 36 month contract for gas at $5.63 but on my 2nd bill they charge at the price of $15.79. My gas bill is laterally triple I try to cancel service from them but they keep charing me... I am the real victim... Please Be aware....

I should have read the reviews before starting an account with this company. They don't care about their customers, they care about how to extract the most money out of you. I went through a hardship all in a span of a few weeks. I lost my job, my car was totaled to the extent that I have to get a new one. I started a new temp job which I explained to them it takes a few weeks to get my first check. They would not work with me on a payment plan, a partial payment, deferred payment or the like. They issued a notice for 3 days before my pay date and would not bend on it. I told them I have a 3 year old here and can not afford to be in the dark. I work from home and can't put my job at jeopardy. They did not care. They said I will just have to get it shut off for 3 days and then they will turn it back on. Their reps called me and harassed me every day, several times a day about my late payment. I probably asked about 5 different people to notate the account so I don't have to spend 30 minutes explaining to a different person my inability to pay that day. They would all read the same exact speech to me with regard to what they can do, which was nothing. I experienced so much anxiety being transferred from person to person about the same issue, all I wanted was for them to stop calling asking for a payment for something I can't pay at the moment, Yet, they cared nothing of my hardship. I asked if they could at least help me by waiving the late/fee shut off notice fee which is insane and takes me up an additional $30 and they would not. I eventually had to take out a loan to pay it, and those quick pay loans are 100% APR so I'm paying back double. And then only two weeks later am I now paying yet another bill that i can't afford to rack up more fees on. I have come to realize this is an extra bonus for this company, if they don't work with you then you default and they collect those extra fees monthly. Also, their direct online portal does not work all the time, so if you will pay additional fees to process payment via phone or their auto bill pay website. They also are scripted to tell you to dial 211 for assistance. I can tell you that most organizations that will give assistance during hardships wont do it for this company, they are too small of a company. I have had 2 organizations that agreed to pay my bill, once they found out it was this company they apologized and said they are not authorized to, it has to be Dallas Energy, Reliant or a few others. When you sign up they will also sell you on a water filter company they partner with, they will promise you $5 off your monthly bill, I have yet to see mine discounted. Whatever you do, proceed with caution. I went from a .23cents a KW with another company to their .13cents a KW and am paying the same amount, because they find ways to pad their invoices to get the most out of you. They will not work with you, id say just let them keep your deposit and go elsewhere. If this is my first year of marriage with this company then the future with them is looking rather bleak.

Got a email that my account past due and called Just Energy at the number they suggest to pay bill 866 587 8674. They wanted me to pay again, even though.I had my confirmation number from my March payment. I am calling my b a no to check if they have any information. I told them I had been contacted on line from a 647 930 8651 telling me my account had not been paid and they were going to shut my electricity off and call 800 801 1502 to pay.it. when I looked it up online . That it is a spam number for Just Energy. who are They and why.is Just Energy not interested in finding out. They did not seem to understand what I was telling them. Why do I have to find out not them. The person I was talking to had no clue. Just Energy what is going why are you failing so many people? I've ALWAYS PAID MY BILL ON TIME.

They are a rip off and will over charge you claim their smart meters are never wrong! Which it’s a computer and they do mess up and have glitches. You think if a customer complained of this cause there’s no way I’m using as much as they say when I’m never home and can’t even use my hvac because then my bill would go from $400 to $600! So needless to say we have been freezing all winter! I even took their suggestions and had my apartments fix anything that could make it sky rocket and had the hvac unit checked, got led lights and all that but guess what?? My bill got even higher!! How is it family and friends with bigger houses who are home all day have way lower bills than I do! And they get rude at Just energy when you ask them to check on their end… going to the governor with this one and any other higher officials that will listen since Just energy doesn’t seem to care they are ripping single mothers off. Everything is as expensive as it is. It’s sad you have to choose between feeding yourself or having power.

I was a customer of 10 years regularly talking to customer service over the years with changing plans and even one change of address, without any issue. Then they seemed to have made changes in their customer service and everything went down hill when it came to a change of address at the end of last year. I needed power at 2 locations, one for current residence and one for residence under construction. The rep and I went over what was needed more than once because they did not understand and after several times going over it I was assured everything was handled. However my current residence was shut off and power was only to my construction. I called and after many more times of going over the issue it was resolved with them starting a new account giving me 2 altogether and that they could no longer follow the timeliness for shut off of current residence so I would have personally call and have it disconnected, which I said would be fine. When the time came I did just that, and was told that it is disconnected which I questioned many times that old residence was disconnected and new was still active for fear of another incident. After reassurance that everything was done we said bye, paid my final bill when the statement came through and my old account was then was removed (by them) from the just energy app to where it could no longer be viewed via my end. All seemed fine. Then we began receiving emails of failure to pay, which everytime we looked our current account showed to be up to date. So then I call customer service to determine the issue, where they looked and stated that there was no issue showing. After a month of receiving what assumed was spam emails at this point I call again. This time I am told that we have an outstanding bill on my old account which racked up $400 of charges. I inferred to where the charges came from and it showed to be for power usage after the date of disconnection so naturally I contested. So it went in for investigation and recieved no response until I called to determine if it had been resolved. They then told me they would remove the extra charges after I told them about the old being scrubbed from any means of me being able to see it, howeveri must still pay for the electricity after my disconnect date because the system showed that I never put in for the disconnection. So I contested again giving the exact date and time that I called since all calls must be recorded and they can go back and listen. Again an investigation with no response until my call again. After several more times of this, each time I'd go further up the ladder hoping that the issue could be resolved, but only being told that I never called at that date and time even though I emailed my phone records from my phone provider as proof. Which that just led to them tacking it sneakily onto more my current residence bill with no breakdown just a show of one sum usage which i had never used in comparison before, so i did the math and my normal usage removed left the exact amount i had contested off the old account. So if i still refused to pay that it would result in my current residence being disconnected. Finally after a month with no avail I figured I'd opt out to another company and take the break-of-contract fee of $175 and pay my final bill. Yet even through this they have now sent me a $1000 bill as a final goodbye in my defeat. Do not go with this company, they are not the same company I once loyally used. I would not recommend to anyone else and wish that my 1 stars could be less!

I was at Sam's Club today a d the young man from JustEnergy scammed me into signing up with them saying they can lock me into 14 cent electric and 99 cent gas I said does that include taxes and everything because BGE is less then that and he says yes. I said well what if BGE goes down and he says they won't... Well I thought well thus is good because gas with all the taxes and other charges are iover $1.60. Well. he sendsz me an email about the free gift cards I am supposed to get a d says the is an image you can open and see everything, it said image but noting woukd olen he says well it will open on you computer. I did not have my glasses with me so he took me step my step through the contract and I signed it rignt there in the Club. I didn't get home until several hours later and put my glasses on and read the email and it said attached is a copy of my contract and a copy would be mailed to me but there was no attachment. I read on that email that I woukd still be responsible for taxes and other charges so the young man lied to me and now I will be paying 1.5 times more for electric and .12/therm more for gas. I tried to call and cancel my contract but they were closed so I sent an email asking them to cancel my contract. In Maryland we have 3 days to cancel a contract if the contract was signed outside of the business. My email has a tracker on it so I will know when they open it. I will be taking them to court if they do not cancel my contract. I am on disability and can not afford to pay hundreds of dollars more a month. I was td that my bill would be less a d if not I could cancel at a y time. I do not even have a copy of the contract nor a copy of the cancellation policy. I was by law supposed to receive both of those. I am most definitely reporting them to the better business Bureau. I am just so upset...i will ha e to shut off my heat and keep my lights off and God help me this summer when I die of heat stroke for thers is no way I can run the AC. very long.

I would give them no stars if possible. Had them set up my energy at a new home, 2 months later we get a door knocker from fortis saying they’re going to shut our energy off. I call just energy and they lost my account so we go through again and set it up. I pay an emergency connection fee with epcor and they bill me. Then I decide to cancel with just energy as epcor had better rates and I call to disconnect just energy, they lost my account again! I don’t exist. The customer service swore I didn’t have any accounts with them. 2 months later I get a bill from just energy that’s due the day I get it and I call them and I’m at risk for it going to collections! All energy companies suck but at least I’ve never had the power shut off when I was with epcor/encor

I was given a bad deal by their Dallas-based marketer named Lailani Flowers. She persuaded me to switch energy providers by informing me that the bill I was paying for my prior supplier was excessive. It turned out that Just Energy's bill is rather expensive.

So, was on a plan because my mother was staying in my home but I switched to a month to month because she was suppose to move out. My bill went from 100 dollars+ to 300, and now the are saying my bill for December was 700 buck and that I owed 1000 dollars by FEB 1 2023. They claim that since I was on a mo th to month bases it goes off the market, which I guess means they charge you the highest they can. I'm in the process of switching now and do not recommend this company because they will scam you. Oh and the 1000 dollars they say we owed, this is after my mother paid 200 buck and I paid 400. Their math doesn't add up.

Scam company they hacked into an account I had with another energy company and almost got us charged 200 dollars! do not answer the door when they come to your house they will get info from you and forge your signature.

They don't deserve a star ..they full of crap they train their employees to say they work for oncor that this and that and to top of the stupid rep leaves a pamphlet with just energy on it .then they try to switch u carriers without ur authorization this company is just a scam plus the rep don't even use his real name but it's OK there's an investigation going on and I do have cameras so he can't say he never went to my house lying about everything

I was set up with just energy by fraudulently. And I've been trying to get out of it since September of 2021. They refunded partial money in May, but they are still billing my gas bill. When you call, nobody wants to answer the phone to talk to you. you can never get a manager. they are nothing but a huge scam. I want this off my Nipsco bill now.and I want my money back that they have taken from nipsco

I signed up with Just Energy walking through Sam's Club and it was a big mistake. They assured me that all that's going to change on my bill was the supplier, but that was not the case. I downloaded my gas usage for the last 2 years to compare what I paid before to what I'm paying now and it's a big difference. Here is the scam: They guarantee you a rate of $1.049/therm for 3 years, which sounds great when they point out the CONVERSION RATE on your gas bill of 1.061. This is not the same thing! The lady I spoke to today at Just Energy offered me a lower rate to stay with them of $0.749/Therm for 3 years. If I had the $0.749/therm this past month, my bill would have been $44 less. She even offered up the information that NIPSCO's current variable rate is $0.732! So Just Energy is still more expensive! This whole time I was paying double for Just Energy's supply charges. So I went ahead and cancelled my service with them. If they charge me $50 for the cancellation, I’ll make that back in 2 months. DO NOT SIGN UP FOR JUST ENERGY!

Wish I could do 0 stars. They started service before the date I had requested. I was charged a $175 early termination fee by my previous provider, but Just Energy would not own the mistake or reimburse me. Terrible customer service.

This company is a complete rip off. They cornered me at Sams Club promising big savings etc etc. Bait and switch. Left them two days after signing up and then found out my electric bill for 2 days was $86.00 - FOR 2 DAYS. Unbelievable. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES.

As I look at the other reviews I’m actually going thru the same thing I was approached while shopping at sams club saying my bill would be lower and within the next 30 to 60 days I would receive two gift cards but those days have come and gone and I’m yet to see the difference in my bill and also still haven’t received neither one of the gift cards smh just full of bull crap
