I have been a customer for way too many years for me not to get to use my points. I like Just Energies prices. I tried to log onto my account to use my points and it said my account had been suspended. There has to be a good reason as I am a loyal customer. I wanted to get a gift card for my daughter. Ugh
Just Energy continuously changes due dates on billing. They charge late fees when our bank, Wells Fargo, shows Just Energy received our payment as much as 5 days earlier. For example, our bill was due on 9/14. Wells Fargo showed Just Energy received the money on 9/11 and was cleared on 9/11 but Just Energy Wants to charge us a late fee AND ARGUE ABOUT WHEN THEY RECEIVED THE MONEY!! Just Energy sucks! We call them every month to complain! DO NOT GET SUCKED INTO USING JUST ENERGY!
I contacted Just Energy Perks program today to redeem my points. I was told that they are no longer able to honor the perks program. I've been a customer for over 3 years. I planned to use my points for gift cards for my grandkids birthday... I am furious about this. It's next to impossible to speak with a human reguarding this matter! When I visited the perks website it clearly states that customers who are already enrolled will continue to accrue points for redemption. What kind of bull is this? ***Why can't I get your email so I can send you my phone number?***
UPDATE: I NEVER imagined Just Energy cared about anyone or anything besides J. E. ! For 3 years I had nothing positive to say about this company especially their customer service dept. Liliana w/Just Energy reached out to me and asked if “I might be willing to allow her the opportunity to “TRY” to make things right?” I flat out told her “there was nothing in this world, I could ever think of, that could possibly undo the damage that had been done!” She again asked if I would hear her out and allow her to juat try. For the first time, I actually had a live person on the other end of the line who sounded sincere and as if they might possibly care about their customers and was genuinely hoping she could change my mind. She was very patient and allowed me to vent (very loudly) about how disappointed I was with JE. I had so much to say and she actually just listened. When I was through, as shocking and unbelievable as it may be to believe, JE acknowledged and resolved not just one or two of the issue’s, but every single concern/complaint I had. They were able to resolve every one of them and not to their satisfaction, but instead, to mine! Do I still owe a balance? Absolutely! I used their services, I wasn’t expecting nor was I looking for a free ride. I just needed them to prove, in some way, that they cared about their customers happiness! Again,I never imagined they could’ve ever made things “right” again (I never thought I’d even give them a chance$ JE & Lilliana, thank you for going above and beyond to make all the wrongs, right again. Thank you al for working with me rather than against me. This is the exact kind of “customer service” many companies no longer possess. We should all work together during these most difficult times, instead of working against the other. It’s the only way to ensure we all succeed! Thank you again for all you have done to help me. I got scammed by a sales rep thinking my bill would be lowered and on my PG&E bill I’m getting billed by both companies.. I have been on hold for a representative for well over an Hour Now!!! I just want to cancel my service this company is horrible and they have scammed me out of money that I could have saved..

I was making an automated payment and accidentally entered a wrong digit on my bank account. It accepted the payment and now I've been on hold 30 minutes to tell someone so it can be reversed before someones account gets drafted. It gave you NO opportunity to verify before submitting payment. I also tried "chatting" and the bot said someone will get back with me within 2 days! Frustrating. It gets even better.... an hour after being on hold I am told I will be charged a return check fee when it comes back and I cannot make a payment until it does come back. I will be cancelling my service and changing providers.
I received an email from Just energy saying I had a bill that was due, despite paying the bill via my bank app. I called Just Energy to straighten it out, first the wait was well over an hour, then the representative refused to acknowledge that I made a payment, then grudgingly said if I did the error had to be on the bank side sending it to the wrong account number. They refused to do anything else and told me to get proof from the bank in the form of a written print out. So then I called my bank, the wait was maybe 10 minutes, and we checked and the account number is exactly the same as on my bill. He tried to conference call with Just Energy, but was on hold for too long. So now I'm on hold again with Just Energy trying to straighten out a problem clearly created by them. This is not an example of customer care or treating people with respect.
They provided incorrect information to sign up at Sam's Club. Ask for everything in writing, should've known better.
Was and still currently a customer until tomorrow when I will be switching to Direct Energy who has offered me $750 in Visa Gift cards ($250 after 90 days + $250 after 1 year and 2 years) to switch. Since Just Energy completely did away with Visa Gift cards and all cards under $50 you can no longer even get to 5000 perk points before they start to expire (24 month expiration date) I have been stuck at just under 4000 for months. Never had any issues with service but it's a competitive market and they aren't trying hard enough to keep and get new customers. e
the worst energy company I've ever had. I've only been able to redeem my perks once and then they suspended my account just because I was late on a couple of bills. I've been with this company for three years they always find a way to add extra charges. suddenly I got a bill for an extra $40 from an account I closed over 2 months ago. I'm pretty sure these people are con artists. Beware! Go with somebody else absolutely go with somebody else!!!!
Zero stars, actually. The company is terrible. Charges you if your lights spontaneously go out to come and fix the problem (not due to non-payment). The app is the only way to pay your bill without additional charge, but the app doesn’t work properly so they force you to pay by phone and therefore pay additional charges. Very unethical. Don’t use this company.
Just Energy is the absolute worst provider you could possibly be misled into buying utilities from. Totally dishonest lying b#stards has been my experience with Just Energy. If these lowlife turds phone you, hang up immediately. We paid these POS over a thousand dollars for 1 month of sheetty service, during the summer.
I am not even where to start. So upset with Just Energy. I am not longer customer of yours since 1/2/20. On 5/8/20 I finalized all financial transaction with Just Energy. On 5/8/20 I spoke with someone named Nayerly. She explained to me that I still owed December 2019(12/4/19-1/1/20) bill in the amount of $ 74.62. Although I did not agreed, I still paid it on the same day 5/8/20. I got a confirmation number. Yesterday 6/30/20 I received an E mail stating I have an overdue bill in the amount of $99.00 plus some change. I spent over an hour trying to speak with someone. I was promised my call will be forwarded to someone that handle Georgia. I was directed to Canada, Texas and Bogota, Colombia 3 times. After I told the representative Andres that I understood English and didn't need someone that talk Spanish. Andre's assured that he was going to transfer me back to the US. But he transferred me back to Bogota, Colombia to a person named Jerome. This Jerome like Andres assured my call will be transferred to US. But again I was transferred to Bogota, Colombia to a Laura. I already was upset. I was sweating and my blood pressure hit the roof. When I felt I was getting more dizzy, I told Laura from Bogota what was happening and told her thank you and hang up. I couldn't deal with the situation any longer. Today 7/1/20, I received a call (470 809 9412) from a person from Africa stating she was calling from Just Energy. I told the person that I will call Just Energy myself and hung up. I called and the call went again to Bogota, Colombia to a Nicholas. I was explaining to Nicholas what was going on and without advising me and I still talking to him, I heard a music and then someone asking me what can he do for me. I told him I was talking with someone named Nicholas in Bogota Colombia. He told me he was Paval from India. That was very unprofessional of Nicholas from Colombia. I explained to Paval from India my situation and asked him if he can transferred me to the collection unit of Just Energy. I don't know what happened with the call, but it fell. I will try again tomorrow 7/2/20. I need someone to explained this bill that I am sure I do not owed. This is so upsetting. Two days with my blood pressure high.
I had this company from 2010 to 2013 and now again from July 2019 to the present. Both times the service and my pricing have been excellent. Never a problem here in Texas and they would call me while I was working in the oil field and discuss a new rate and contract. Perfect.
It is a scam. These are cheaters.
i called Power to Choose on 3/20/2020 and they signed me up with Just Energy. I called in early May, I think to make sure all went well only to be told I was cancelled. No one notified me. So after talking with Just Energy she told me everything was OK and I did not have to call back. So I didn't. I received my bills from my previous carrier. I called Just Engry to find out why only to be told I was cancelled again. Again No One called. I asked to speak to a supervisor and was told I had to leave a message and they would call in 24 hours. She lied as 24 hours was up long ago. I called again only to be lied to again and found out this one never entered anything in the system to prove she was a lair. So I called back and insisted to talk to a supervisor only to be told she was going to transfer me to new set up. She could have cared less. Plus she refused to call the previous carrier and talk with the and to pay the cancellation fee. She told me I had to pay it and send in the bill. That I needed to trust her. Right. After being cancelled twice and continually lied to trust is something that went out the window. What was I supposed to do with no electricity in the mean time. Trust her?
I have been a customer since 2013 and my luck finally ran out. My bill this month was double what Nyseg would have charged me. What an unethical company during this time of crisis they have raised their energy rates!!! I called to cancel and the operator "could not find my account info," mind you I gave him my address, phone number, name and Just Energy Acct #. It's as if they knew i was going to cancel. So once I said I wanted to cancel the guy said he "had to fill out some paperwork" (as if it works this way) and came back and offered me a lower rate, when i said that is still more than NYseg is offering me he went down another .01cent but it was still way more then NYSEG at which point he offered to find me a better rate. I said "No i want to cancel" which was when i found out it will take 2 billing cycles to cancel. Really!!! I would understand 1 but 2. I really can't stomach the thought of waiting to see my bill the next 2 months. My husband signed us up for this service when they went door to door in our neighborhood all those years ago. I am with the other complaints, if it's too good to be true it is. If my bill wasn't so high this month I would not have investigated and discovered it was twice as much as the Nyseg would have charged. I am so sick about how much wasted money i have spent in the last 7 years. Don't sign up with the company, they are unethical!
If I could rate them NEGATIVE 👎 I would. They’re So horrible don’t ever sign up with them. I canceled my agreement with them a day after I signed up and they refused to cancel my agreement. Why would sams club even have them crooked A** people trying to scam their customers. I give them REALLY BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!
If I could give them zero stars I would. Roped me in with low rates and a 45.00 gift card, and a promise I could cancel for no fee/no contracts. BUT what they don’t tell you is that if you keep the service beyond the first month, you willingly enter into a contract that you have to pay 175.00 to get out of. After the initial period your rates sky rocket. DO NOT USE JUST ENERGY. If it sounds too good to be true, it is!
