What a coincident that they cancel my order after receiving a payment via credit card - "detecting high fraud risk". Seems to happen very often that companies don't deliver "discounted" orders with the offer to buy in a different store without the discount. But as I said I am sure this is just an unfortunate coincidence.
I purchased a Jackery Explorer 1000 with 2 100 watt soar panels (they come as a packaged set) directly from Jackery. The unit worked fine the one weekend we used it (I haven't tried the solar panels yet but I will this weekend and pray they're ok). I had a minor issue with the little rubber plug that covers the DC output (like your car's cigarette lighter) becoming detached while moving the unit from the car to the tent site. The little rubber "tail" attaching it to the unit failed and when rubbed on something the cap fell off and was lost. No biggie, I said, I'll ask them to send a new one. Nope. They don't have parts to send to replace broken or missing pieces. Sorry, too bad. Thanks for the $1600 USD for a product that we're obviously not willing to stand behind. It's a little thing, but it shows where they stand (not behind their products). I'll never buy a Jackery product again, and will steer all my friends and family away from them. If they won't send me a 50 cent part for me to do my own repair (glue the little tail into the hole), what will happen when it won't charge or output power? Just sad.
Do not bother with the company at all, they leave you stranded, and neglected without power for weeks. My kit broke within 2 months of use, with a 3 year warranty. And took a month to come to a solution.
I have bought a Jackery battery and solar panel. The solar panel died within less than a year and is still under warranty. After contacting Jackery and providing all information and a video of the solar panel not charging the battery and the socket not working after some back and forth they emailed the UK supplier would get back! No UK phone number no email, no shipping label for the defect program, no offer for a refund. Very disappointing.
Haven't even gotten the unit and I'm over it. Customer service is utterly useless. They don't answer their phones, tell you to text, then take their damn time responding. Emails might get a single cursory answer, but good luck getting an answer to a follow up question. I hear the battery is quality, but I'm going to cancel the order because Jackery has been so awful to deal with leading up to a sale.
1st impression excellent. Then. I encountered the terrible after sales from Jackery. I simply asked what solar panel to mount on my van roof to power it. They hammered their cardboard solar panel which doesn't appear fit for purpose mounting on a van roof. They have been completely unhelpful and uninterested it makes me wonder how they can survive. I would strongly advise against buying from Jackery this is definitely the worst company I have encountered in terms of product being fit for purpose and after sales.
Jackery are great units but be careful where you purchase it from in the UK - there are many dodgy fake Jackery Power Stations mainly from Ebay sellers. Jackery Amazon store and Hampshire Generators seem to be the only legitimate places in the UK to purchase from with genuine products and warranty support. I ordered a cheap Explorer 1000 from Ebay and no support at all - the guys Hampshire Generators helped me out though so kudos to them.
Jackery power stations have helped me through multiple power outages -- including one in summer 2020 that lasted a week. They are also great for use of tech devices, lights, etc. while camping. I also have the solar panel, but the 500 can charge from your car. Well designed, amazing product. Expensive, but worth it.
Jackery has the worst customer service ever. Now they are sitting back as the UK market is flooded with scam and counterfeit Jackery power units. Brand is being destroyed in from tof their eyes and they are doing nothing. Returning my solar panel as I simply do not trust the company.
If you're looking for a generator that has a cord long enough to actually USE the product or even get it on a table, shop elsewhere. The cord that comes with this is not long enough to lift off the floor and they offer no extension cord as an option to purchase like other reputable dealers. Also, they REFUSE to point customers in the right direction and tell them to purchase a 8mm extension cord on AMAZON which has NOTHING BUT DEFECTIVE PRODUCTS and every single 8mm cord I've seen from Jackery customers states they not only don't work, but they can blow the unit up if one isnt basically an electrician to inspect it which I certainly am not. I've emailed them asking for a direct link to an extension cord that WORKS and no response because they know this and won't assume the responsibility to point you to an EXACT cord that meets the specs that's reliable. I would have NEVER purchased this POS had I known it's nearly impossible to get an extension cord. They also stated that to use an extension cord slows the charging DRASTICALLY. No one can use this unit effectively with such a short cord and it would be bad enough to have to purchase one that's effective but to get brushed off with NO customer service to point someone to the proper cord at a REPUTABLE dealer and not amazon who has NOTHING compatible according to the reviews is horrendous. BUYER BEWARE and i haven't even USED this yet to say anything else about it. I better not have any other problems looking at the other reviews on this site stating they don't honor their warranty.
i purchased a jackery 160 to test before purchasing a bigger system. this was missing both dc cables so it could not be charged via car charger or use a dc car charger type plug on any output. So 20 emails latter and over a month of time they say i have to pay via paypal and they cant send an invoice so i would have to set up a paypal account which i will never will do. seems to me that they are trying to jack the money and not give the jacks that were supposed to be in the box to begin with. there telephone number has a statement about not being rude or what not which is like throwing gun powder on a fire. this recorded statement is after the message they wont answer the phone or return your call for at least several days. seems they do not want to face or speak to their customers directly. Buy anywhere else this is not the place.
BUYER BEWARE: Jackery DO NOT HONOUR their manufacturers warranty after my unit failed. If you’re reading this, please note Jackery have screwed me over by not replacing a faulty unit - but everything I state is true. I bought a Jackery 500 unit via Amazon UK prior to Jackery having their own store. I paid full price and the unit was brand new and worked when it arrived. I successfully registered the product with Jackery a couple of days after getting it. I was away from home for 3 to 4 months, so charged it before I left. When I got back and went to charge it again, the unit had completely died. I was left with a £500 brick. So, I check the conditions for claiming under the manufacturers warranty, as it was within one year of purchase.. You must charge the unit every 6 months. Tick. It was left uncharged for a maximum of 4 months. It does not state anywhere on their own terms, that the warranty is not valid if bought through a third party. When you buy a washing machine at Curry’s - you’d still expect and have a right to the manufacturers warranty wouldn’t you?? JACKERY DOES NOT STATE THIS AS AN EXEMPTION. However, this is the reason the company have used to wriggle out of replacing the unit. I intend to make a Faulty Goods complaint under the Consumer Rights Act. The absolute worst part of all of this was dealing with customer service at Jackery. It has taken 2 months to try and have a simple conversation. The company DOES NOT HAVE A FAIR ANSWER as to why they won’t replace the unit - And so, they have now just stopped replying to my emails, hoping I will just go away. Horrible customer experience. These are very expensive batteries, I would AVOID at all costs after my experience.
I bought a Jackery Explorer 500 uk spec from amazon April 2020 and its been great until it over heated while charging from the wall outlet. Now jackery have said they are not responsible for fixing it because I got it from a 3rd party seller. Is this a product and business you want to buy from.
I had bought a solar battery years before from a different company and spent about $350. I was sorely disappointed by the the quality of materials, and performance. It died after approximately 4 uses. When it came time to dip the toes into the murky waters of solar batteries again, I really did some investigation. I had seen videos where people swore by Jackery, I read the reviews, I watched YouTube channels where people depended on these batteries. So... I went all in on the Jackery 1000 and 2 solarsaga 100w panels... $2000 CND. Okay, here’s the scoop... Phenomenal. I love this battery. I love it so much I bought a Jackery 500 about 4 weeks later. Fantastic product Jackery!
Great speaker. I use it with my echo dot and have it play music when im in the shower. Haven't ad any sound issues with it.
Highly recommended and excellent customer service. I had an issue with one of their products but they resolved the problem quickly and to my full satisfaction. You find out what a company is really like from how it handles complaints and Jackery turned my negative experience into a positive one!
Since my USB car jack is acting up I bought a Jackery External Power Supply. I got the "Jackery Titan S" on sale at Amazon. I got it on the recommendation of a friend that has one for his phone. I got a larger unit that promised to be able to charge my iPad and iPhone at the same time. WOW! Not only does it do that, it charges them FAST! It has 2 USB input slots for that purpose. This unit is extremely easy to use. The unit is very well made and quite heavy for the size. It takes about 10 hours from fully drained to charge up for duty. It provides about 380 hours of device use, so it's a slam dunk this is a good unit. This is enough for a cross-country road trip and multiple phones, with time to spare. You can test the remaining juice by pressing the power button, and LED lights show you in 25% increments how much juice you have left. I am really pleased with the device so far! I will definitely thank my friend when I see him again, and purchase a unit for my bropther for Christmas.
