Although it was my intention to operate my account on-line eventually, I used the GoTo freephone telephone system to switch (today,18/02/2021), because I had several issues for which I wanted clarification. The man I spoke with, Ian, was polite, patient, knowledgible, efficient and wellspoken. The process was atraightforward and was completed satisfactorily within about 10 minutes - and with all my questions answered. A few minutes later I received an email, inviting me to set-up my account on-line. This was straightforward: I found the wesite to be clear and easily navigable. I hope the rest of the switching process is as easy.

I found it reassuring with the replies to my questions relating to renewing my contract having tried out well known energy helplines. These helplines tempt you in with unrealistic "could save you" offers.

Automatic transfer to this company was a mistake, had a smart meter fitted but Goto don’t support them and ask for a reading every month, meaning moving my American size fridge to get to the meter every month!!! Nightmare can’t wait to move to a proper supplier who use smart meters.

Tariff was good. People I spoke to were good. Paperwork to back it up awful. Issued with contract with incorrect tariff rates and standing charges. So had to call them to find out what going on. Final bill said 'refer to page 3 for how to pay us'. Page 3 had nothing on it about paying them so I had to ring. Again. Couldn't log on to submit meter readings, so had to ring. Again. Moved supplier as just don't want to spend time on the phone sorting things out.

Just switched my mother in law's energy to goto energy. It was a simple phone call, very helpful and professional staff, and much cheaper.

Very helpful staff at goto.energy, This made renewing my contract simple, straightforward, and quick. A good feature of goto.energy's system is that they ask for monthly meter readings, which means that if consumption is higher or lower than expected the direct debit payment can be adjusted early, avoiding the risk of a balance shock at the end of the year.

very easy to switch to next fixed plan and was almost the cheapest one found on comparison sites (as of February 2021) two cheaper ones were only few pounds different so not worth changing companies. no complaints about service during previous 12 months so worth another 12 months?
