For folks who had never used this device before, we had a somewhat difficult learning curve. We dug way to many holes due to interference with other underground ducts and cables. However, we did learn in the end, the device nailed the location of the end of the defective wire we were trying to find. Rental was fairly simple, they included a return UPS ticket and I could track the equipment as it made its way to me and back. The equipment they provided used 2 9V batteries, and one of them died after about 10 min of use -- it would have been nice if they'd provided a spare within the case, as this cost me 1/2 day on the jobsite unexpectedly. Small gestures like this mean a lot, so perhaps they can take this into account.
