Good brand, faster shipping

I am building a new home and have had an impossible time trying to find a small air leak in my gas line while testing. I finally decided to rent a ultrasonic leak detector from you. It took almost a week to get here (CA to WA). After reading the directions, it appeared that the instrument was not doing what it was supposed to do. I tried using it several times, and could not find the leak after checking all of the fittings. I called in and talked with Alex T. and he would talk to Sean regarding getting another unit sent out. After several days, I finally got to talk to Sean, who was very helpful in sending me a upgraded unit, which was received the next day. This time, the instrument was missing the component needed for checking air leaks. It only contained the tools for checking mechanical noises. I sent Sean another email (can not reach him by phone) and it's been three days now with not responce.

I was very concerned of pirated goods showing up at the doors of customers. Without mentioning various dealers, I contacted Global Test Supply and aired my concerns. They immediately replied that they are an official dealer of Mititoyo products. They asked me to contact Mititoyo and ask for a list of certified dealers. I didn’t need to. That kind of honesty and certainty was what I was looking for. The price of the calipers I was looking at was unbelievable. So, I thought, “ oh oh. Too good to be true?” Regardless, I bought the calipers. They were sent free and arrived in great shape and in a timely fashion. I opened the box and looked for all the things I was warned to look for- an official battery, closed package, serial numbers that matched up. Everything was in order. So, the product: the Mititoyo digital calipers were just great . They zeroed out repeatedly, they glide like butter, the LED is easy to read, the depth gauge is extremely useful. The thumb roller is easy to use. The accuracy is more than I need but, very nice to have a piece of equipment I can trust. I want to add that I believe some have encouraged customers to remove the battery when not in use for long periods. I think this is wise. The last thing I want is to forget and find a leaking battery in the battery compartment. By the way, this model, 500-196-30 uses the SR-44 battery. I looked up the difference in the LR44 and SR44 batteries. If I’m not mistaken, the LR44 loses voltage gradually and the SR44 is more consistent with voltage and then just drops out when used up. They are made differently when different materials. In my mind, the SR44 is superior. All in all, I had a very good experience.

Customer Rep sent the meters to wrong address and when trying to get hold of him and change the address, he was not responsive. Waited for 2 weeks before responding to customer support, first time no help from customer support. Second time they say they will ship it out. Will see when it arrives. Terrible service from sales rep. Shipping it to wrong address even though i specifically told him to ship it to new address in email.

They shipped my order pretty quickly which was great, but all they did was put the products into a box. No styrofoam peanuts, air bladders, or other padding of any kind. Naturally the shipping company used the box as a football. Not acceptable to ship a DMM worth hundreds of dollars with no protection.
