I needed a 'modern' laptop with a reasonable size screen, above-average performance, large memory & storage, fast wi-fi, and with a specific range of connections. This is for occasional travel and 'field use' with other equipment. A good warranty and support were also key considerations. I discounted the local second-hand market (lack of good warranty) and looked at brand new options. However, the prices for the desired specification were high and not justified for my intended usage. I had seen Gadget Centre reviewed by a large number of satisfied customers and a few apparently less happy. In no rush, I kept an eye on this supplier (and a few others) and saw far more positive than negative reviews. A review showed it as a small, but growing, business and I liked the idea of upcycled IT equipment over the need for a 'new' box. Finally, I placed my order for a laptop at the upper band of products offered. It arrived in good time, well-packed (survived the couriers!), and worked from the box. I am most happy with the ordering process, delivery, and product. I have the desired specification and have saved approximately 50% on the new price option. I subsequently had need for technical advice on a Microsoft Windows software issue realed to my use of the laptop. I raised this by email and received a full and prompt response from Jake. Good service! So, in summary: Price - to suit a wide range of budgets and intended use. I could have paid a lot more for no good reason. Ordering - easy, menu-driven options for processor, memory, drive, and display size. Payment - straightforward on-line payment. Delivery - two weeks; well-protected package. Quality - pristine condition and 'as new'! Performance - met my expectations in full. Support - good; not a big company so probably best approach by email rather than telephone. Warranty - three years!

I ordered an i5 processor with 16gb of RAM. The processor is eight years old. The laptop arrived two weeks after ordering and is in immaculate physical condition, and well packed. Performance is not slow but certainly not particularly fast either, it is an acceptable experience but it doesn't meet the hype I've seen in so many of the reviews of facebook. There's no way to know what exactly you're going to get when you order from these guys, so perhaps other folks have been luckier than I have but personally for the money I would have expected a more recent CPU than the one I received, I could have done much better just buying a used laptop locally or via ebay. I wouldn't consider purchasing further devices from Gadget Centre.

I ordered a laptop from them 6 days ago and before the order I emailed them to say I will only go through with the order if they can confirm that I will receive the 15.6"screen, they responded with just put it in the request option at the bottom when ordering and workers will see it. Did that and paid, heard nothing from them back so today I emailed them to see why it was taking so long to be posted. This is when things went bad and they said they were having staff issues and were sorry for the delay but they will need to charge me £40 extra as they are low on stock, they said they emailed me days ago explaining this but I received no emails from them on the dates they said I did, they ended up refunding me although I don't have it yet. They also removed my comments and blocked me from commenting, you will only see good feedback as the folk who didn't receive good customer care get blocked. Don't use this company

Cannot recommend Gadget Centre highly enough. Laptop arrived within a few days and was exactly as promised. I tried to connect multiple screens and couldn't work it out myself. A few very promptly answered emails between Jake and I and the matter was resolved successfully. Great service.

My pc was delivered exactly as described in 7 working days and has been very well put together, with a much better specification than even brand new laptops.

Got exactly what I wanted!

Have now bought two laptops from them, first for a grandson, second for a granddaughter - in each case the product is great...the only issue now is that a second granddaughter has decided that it would be a great idea for her to have on like her sister! Communication from them was clear and honest - there had been a slight delay in confirming shipping date but there was a genuine apology and a very clear explanation. Can thoroughly recommend them!

I am so pleased with mine! I loved being able to choose exactly what spec I wanted. It is in absolutely mint condition. It arrived in 2 weeks, but I was told there was a delay. So happy!

Ive had my laptop for a couple of weeks now, so time for the review: It was time for a new laptop, I don't like how the big high street companies push out computers that have been made on a production line with very little human contact and with customer service if something goes wrong totally inadequate, in fact shocking. I used to have a great computer shop close to me but it closed 10 years ago, everything made to my spec, and advice and upgrades at the drop of a hat. I have been looking for similar for a while. I chose Gadget Centre based on the adverts online and the reviews. I can honestly say I am very impressed with the service. I got a laptop with the specs I asked for, the actual laptop casing is carbon wrapped - brilliant - it makes my old laptop look like an antique. Its totally silent and loads immediately. Postal is a few weeks (give them a chance to build the machine) oh and packaging is exactly like you see in their promo videos, bubble envelope as well ! What really makes this purchase above the rest, is that I know that if something goes wrong, or any little issue I can pick up the phone, or email Gadget Centre and I will be actually in communication with the experts who built the machine and not some reception person passing the buck with false promises. You get what you pay for in this world, in this case I got exactly what I wanted with reassurance. Highly recommended. If only they did cars :-) John, Wigan.

Laptop ordered on 22 January and processed and shipped on 02 February. Specifications met and exceeded. I received a refurbished Dell Latitude E7450 with Windows 11 Professional installed, 16 Gigabytes memory and an Intel Core i7 processor. It looks and feels like a split new laptop with a carbon fibre body, 3 Usb ports,headset jack, Hdmi port, gbit Lan and an sd card reader. Performance so far has been speedy and very responsive. I couldn't be happier with this purchase and have no hesitation in recommending The Gadget Centre if you are looking for a value for money Laptop at a very competitive price. Fred Davidson

We have had two laptops from Gadget Centre, and are delighted with both. They both look like new, they arrived quickly and were well packaged, and the laptops a very quick in performance. They are both for personal use (my own for use in music performance and recording). The only thing we don't know is how they will last, which only time can tell. But we are both very happy with the Gadget Centre performance.

The laptop came fine. The battery only lasted 30 mins before needing to be charged. The store agrees to take it back and said they would put a new battery in. So I sent it back tracked to them. They received it on 1st Feb but have not sent it back nor responded to several emails and the phone line isn't working. I now have no laptop. **Edit*** I now have the laptop back. Finally they emailed me to say they had it and was hoping to do the repair in 3- 5 days. It's a shame it took several emails and 21 plus days for them to acknowledge they had my lap top. All it needed was an email to say they had it and that would have been suffice. They have apologised and sent an Amazon gift voucher. Amending from 1 to 2 stars .. communication and customer service really needs work.

The laptop looked like a new product. Well packed for delivery. The web page is easy to navigate and assembled the spec we needed at less than half price of a new one with less specs. They accommodate the key board we requested and their guaranty is the best I've seen. Will certainly promote to family and friends.

Ordering on line was easy with all choices. They need to improve the customer service which is very poor. Not answering the phone no matter what time you call. and taking 10 days to reply to your e mail is not a good business practice helping the company to grow bigger All in all I’m happy with my laptop I got what I have asked for.
