Next day delivery....amazing 6hp chipper for a very good price... Top class service and product...

Having spent hours trawling through the polypropylene end of the market I came to the conclusion that all wood chippers were the same except for price and colour. I then discovered Forest Master which is in a class of its own. Downloading a manual including an exploded diagram from the manufacturer's website, I could see exactly what I was paying for. I ordered a Compact Electric which arrived the next day and I was not disappointed. Beautifully engineered from solid steel it fitted together perfectly. I had wondered if I should choose the more powerful petrol version but I need not have worried. The heavy duty electric motor wouldn't look amiss powering an ocean liner! It disposed of my conifer branches at breathtaking speed and sprayed the particles feet into the air until I thought to adjust the discharge chute to container level. This is a great little machine and a pleasure to use.

I now have three pieces of Forest Master equipment - the Ultimate Saw Horse, the FM10D log splitter and the FM6DD wood shredder. This kit has made my garden tree maintenance so much easier, as well as giving me loads of free firewood for the winter and saving money on skips or clearance companies to take away the branches too small to be worth logging. All of the Forest Master kit is well thought out, you can tell they know their stuff when it comes to wood. The Forest Master website is easy to manage and often has good offers, but they also sell through eBay and Amazon, which is handy if you have vouchers to spend. Overall I'm very happy with Forest Master, I can't recommend them highly enough.

This Company are amazing, from the outset, they have answered all emails within 10 minutes of me sending them. The chipper arrived on time the next day after I ordered it, was very easy to put together with very clear instructions. Have used the chipper all morning, (6.5HP Petrol wood chipper) and it eats everything you feed it and spits it out in tiny bits ready to be composted. As a professional gardener, this will save my back from breaking dragging branches everywhere, can’t wait to use it more. Thank you. Johnny

Ordered the FM6DD Shredder which was delivered the next day as promised. However, when I unpacked it there was a dent in the hopper, so I called customer service and they said that they would send a replacement and could I send a picture of the dent, which I did. The next day, I received an email saying that after speaking to “The Management” they were only prepared to offer me £10...! I said that this was not acceptable having spent over £550 so either they send me a new hopper or I will return the whole machine for a full refund. They then sent another email to say that they would swap the hopper, which they did. Also, there are some additional parts, including two small screws to fit in the exit Shute and a large bolt to be used as a puller. I never received the large bolt...! But to be honest, I couldn’t be bothered to call them again..!

Received my log splitter ( FM8 5 TON ) last week. Incredibly fast delivery!. Performs brilliantly but, there was no safety guard as described. Phoned up customer services. Very friendly rep told me there was a problem with a shipping container and the guard would follow soon. Really surprised there wasn't a warning or advice note included with the package though, or even better at the point of making the order. Hence 3 rather than 5 stars ( for the time being). Some folks may think guards are "health and safety" taken too far, but I've still got a squint tooth to prove otherwise from using my previous log splitter!. So for me the safety guard is a must have. Taking customers payments and shipping the item without guards is a little surprising. Update : 2/Feb/2021 - at last!, cage arrived - hooray !!. Very friendly service. Understandable that there have been problems over last few months. So 5 stars it is !

Bought my 6.5hp shredder from Forestmaster last year - I went to purchase it on sale direct from their site for £749, but the sale had just ended after that weekend. Thankfully, they honoured the sale price of £749. It arrived quickly and well packed, and it's a great shredder, handles good size branches (up to 4 inch though I never make it cut anything that big). I keep it wrapped in three layers of tarp between jobs, and it always starts and runs well. This year I've just ordered two spare blades (the originals are perfectly fine but I wanted to have spares safely stored away), and they arrived quickly. Recommended seller.

Ordered a Log Splitter FM10TW-7-TC which apparently is the latest model 1) Negative - The box indicated it was FM10D/T/TW. I wrote to FM and was told I had been sent the correct model however they have yet to explain why the label on the machine seems to indicate manufacture date 1-10/5/2017 which indicates I may have an older model!? Awaiting written confirmation from FM 2) Negative - The enclosed operating instructions are poorly written and the A4 sheet on the Stand Assembly is so small as to be useless. I downloaded a larger pdf online which was much better 3) Negative - A leaflet enclosed indicated the advertised Safety Guard and the Workbench had not been supplied and FM were awaiting these. Due to be shipped in October apparently. 3) Positive - The 7 ton splitter is excellent and does the job perfectly. So pleased I ordered the stand as the Splitter is very heavy and the wheels make the Splitter manoeuvrable. I would hate to use it at low lever!

The log splitter was easy to order, complied with my spec, and arrived before I expected it. The van driver off loaded it in the required location, and the packaging was undamaged. As it is my birthday present, I will not be unwrapping it until tomorrow, which I am looking forward to. Altogether, excellent service,

Everything was packed well,placed all parts onto a worktop and checked they were all there.Followed instructions that were very easy to use and built the machine .Filled with oil then petrol ,again following the instructions ,started the machine.Performed very well and made easy work of the hazel branches Fed into the machine.Chippings came out at the specified size ideal for putting on our flower beds.All around very impressed

Only used it once so far but it does exactly what it's supposed to and seems to be very well built. It's heavy and you will need help to assemble, unless you have a hoist - which is how I did it. When you assemble the stand you may think a bolt is missing but it's on the small stand which is fitted to the splitter when it arrives. It would be nice to have the option of better wheels. The ones supplied are fine for most things but balloon tyres would be nice for those moving it across rough surfaces.

I bought the FM6DD chipper. Because it is Forest Master components sitting on an American engine, there are two instruction manuals, and not everything is covered, but Customer Services are brilliant. You get a real person responding quickly to any query. A hint on the FM6DD. There are two thin bolts going across the discharge chute. They are to stop a person with a very thin arm putting their hand up the chute. To get safety clearance, Forest Master had to fit them, but really anyone stupid enough to try to get their arm all the way up the discharge chute should not even be let out of the house. Unscrew the nuts and throw the bolts away and you will have a superb machine which is happy to take branches with leaves on. If you leave the bolts in place. you may get more blockages than you would like, as soft material can cling to them

The Compact Petrol 6HP Wood Chipper arrived in two boxes well packaged. I opened them and following the instructions carefully, I laid out the components. I initially thought that a number of the fasteners (the M8 long bolts and the M6 bolts with associated washers etc.) were missing!! Just about to fire off a email, then discovered that the missing parts were assembled to the engine / shredder. After this it was trivially easy to assemble and after adding oil and fuel, the engine started first pull of the recoil starter. It copes very well with branches up to max size, less will with the leaves - not an issue. Starting from hot is a little less easy, but this may be that I have not got used to the engine idiosyncrasies. The best chipper I have had - don't be put off by it's compact size. Last point - in the parts a single mystery M10 x 150 bolt with no apparent home.....

The 6hp petrol chipper/shredder is an excellent piece of equipment and I am very pleased with my purchase. I was also very impressed with the customer service from Forest Master. At least partly because of my own stupidity, I had problems starting the machine, but the chap at the other end of the phone was helpful, patient and knowledgeable and I soon had the machine working. Top marks. I will try to find time to do a more detailed review of the machine for the Forest Master website
