Unfortunately this experience was very mixed. The good: very responsive customer service and good quality workmanship. The website is also very easy to use. The bad: overcharged due to an error where they miscounted the items. I only realised this after adding up the invoice - which is particularly concerning because I would not normally check an invoice’s math... they refunded me immediately after I pointed it out but it didn’t instil confidence. Another issue was the timing -it took over two weeks to be ready for collection at the London office. I was promised a collection time after a week and a half but it wasn’t ready and I wasn’t notified. And finally, requests for a discount to reflect the issues and delay were unanswered. Overall, I would not use it again because the service is more expensive that a local tailor but no faster, more convenient or reliable.

Absolutely brilliant! I've recently had alterations done for a new linen jumpsuit as it was a little loose but I couldn't resist buying it. I was first worried about self-pinning but it sits perfectly now! They guided me through the process of self-pinning and I am happy I gave it a go as the final result is exactly what I wanted, I actually think the stitching looks better than it used to when I purchased it :D My first positive experience with Clothes Doctor inspired me to send them my favourite leather jacket for repair, the lining had many tears after years of wear. It came back yesterday with a new beautiful lining and I love it!

I sent detailed pictures of an item that needed to be repaired. They counted me and I agreed. A week after sending the items, I got an email saying that I had not been specific enough about the repair and that I had to pay extra 32 if I wanted it to be repaired. After speaking to them over the phone, and explaining that I had sent a detailed picture of everything that needed to be repaired, they told me that I should have stated specifically what needed to be done. I cannot do that as I am no expert and do not know how to name/describe things and that's why we agreed I would send pictures. They were not not willing to reach any understanding and even told me that I had sent the item with a piece missing, which is not where near true. Terrible experience, would not recommend.

I had a problem finding anyone locally to alter two leather jackets, quite a daunting task which I did not want to tackle. I found Clothes Doctor's website and as soon as I started a conversation, I knew I had found someone reliable and trustworthy. The Clothes Doctor team always replied promptly to my queries, with patience and cheerfulness! The way the website is set up allows you to choose exactly what repairs you require and at what price, with no 'added on' prices at the end. You are kept informed about the progress of your garments at all times, which is very reassuring.

Delighted with the repair which, whilst not invisible, is very well done. Not only did they repair the hole in my jumper but noticed two other small holes i hadn't spotted and repaired these too! Customer service was excellent- I was kept informed every step of the way. The little bag of lavender with my finished jumper was a nice touch. I would recommend them unreservedly

Great service, very friendly and helpful. I had a dress adjusted and we started with measurements being taken over FaceTime which worked really well. The dress was picked up and delivered back very efficiently and arrived back with us ahead of the return estimate. Thank you!

Found the Clothes Doctor online and my experience with Emily, Becky and Sophie was exceptional. Now a days everything is emails and no personal one to one. These ladies are the exception after I put in my order online they contacted me by phone and an email about getting my post bag. Always responded to my emails quickly, contacted me very promptly about my garments to be altered and they advised me with there expertise the best way to get the quality finish. When I got my garments back,about a week later, the workmanship and quality of was 1000% you'd never know they were altered. Highly recommend work and service.
