my previous 1 star damning review seems to have been taken down because it showed their utter incompetence. avoid this company at all costs. i left a year ago and despite 27 request to have my details removed i still receive final demands and marketing emails. i will be reporting them to the ICO and i hope that they will be fined. this company is atrocious at all levels and i am so glad that i have moved my business elsewhere. however chess miss me as they insist on contacting me against my wishes and requests which is unsolicited contact and marketing.

Chess was really easy to contact unlike many other companies! The member of staff Liz O'Connor was so helpful, friendly and dealt with my inquiry perfectly. Highly recommend.

Awful company to deal with, as a business owner they tie you into contracts and do their upmost to keep auto renewing and make it as difficult as possible to leave. i cant wait until next January to get away from them.

After having problems with broadband previously, Chess offered very little help so I decided I would move supplier when my contract expired. I gave them over the 30 days notice but this company make everything very awkward. Apparently now they say I gave them too much notice and they continue to charge me after I moved to a new supplier despite me trying to do everything properly. A truly unhelpful, horrible company.

Don’t deal with this company Stitch me right up I asked for 1 new broadband line and they renewed the hole contract Sent me a letter stating my contract was about to end so got a new provider and then they change their mind and wanted to charge me for leaving Robbing ******** STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY

I received a call from Rachel Stuart yesterday about renewing our contract. She was extremely helpful and was able to answer my queries clearly and concisely about the renewal and advise on a more suitable package. I received the quote this morning and have signed and approved the one Rachel recommended.

Billing department is a mess. We tried to change our company details which resulted in having to enter into a new contract with them but they proceeded to send bills for the new and the old account at the same time in error. The new invoices for the new account were actually raised before any agreements were signed and this created a complete mess. The issue started in the middle of 2022 and as of Feb 2023 the issue is still not resolved. Whenever we reach out to them to find out what is going on we are assured that it is being resolved. One of our support tickets was actually closed and marked as resolved despite the issue being unresolved. As for the actual cloud infrastructure (virtual desktop) service, which is what we use with them, this is also not brilliant. It suffers from pretty regular outages and on some occasions has left us unable to access our virtual desktops and thus leaves our business unable to operate. Sometimes this leaves us locked out of our computers and database for a day or two at a time. We did not sign up to this company, Chess took over another business that we were a customer of and the task of migrating away is unfortunately an expensive and complicated affair given that they are holding all our data so we feel trapped in the arrangement now. We have been incredibly patient with them up until now but as they have just sent us an email asking for a review of their services I am happy to oblige.

This is the worst telecom company. I would suggest you go to another company. we have not had broadband for over two years. We have a contract till May next year so we are stuck with fees but no service. They have done nothing to sort out my problem just send us bills knowing we cannot get out of it.

I’d rate Zero if I could! Worst company I’ve ever dealt with! Fabricate bills 2 years into contract for equipment. Service level is pathetic! Best move ever moving as soon as contract expired, even then tried to charge me for additional period. Was a nightmare for 3 whole years. Avoid this company is my only advice

Bristol Leasehold Management We have had Martin Cosgrove in today he was over and above helpful, the best contact we have encountered at chess so far. Super friendly and knowledgeable didn't leave until all problems resolved, a credit to your company.
