Sold a working iphone 4s, offered £260 Then when they recieved it they said it did not pass their testing criteria (like so many reviews here) and its downgraded to £120! I rejected the offer at which point it said thanks and money in the post!! I then had to ring and after various promises of call you backs which never happened I eventually threatened then with legal action which then prompted a reply to which they tried to charge me £10 to return the phone to me! I agreed and they then agreed £7, then after 4 days still no phone so more phone calls and more promises until I eventually got the phone back. I have since sold it to a reputable company for the full price of £240 and surprisingly the phone all works and there are no problems!!!! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.

If your phone is NOT unlocked do not use this mobile phone recycler. The price they quote for a working mobile is not the price you will be offered after they receive your phone. I sent in my Iphone 4s 16GB and accepted the price of £245.50 online. I read their "Testing Criteria" and terms and conditions under testing criteria and all seemed fine, so I sent my phone off by next day special delivery at a cost of £6.35. (My choice to do so as I wanted to have my phone get there safely) I began to become suspicious when after 3 days I didn't hear anything and my status online was still stating "New Order". At this point I called 08715269362 at 9am. The phone was not answered for almost an hour but then I finally got through to an employee. They explained to me that they had e-mailed me but I had not received it. They also explained in their terms and conditions it does say "To achieve our listed price, your handset must not be locked to a network. If your handset is locked to a network, we will offer you a revised price" Now surely if The Managing Director has been in the mobile phone recycling business for over 11 years you would think that it would be most important to be upfront and honest with your customers. It is very common that the majority of the mobile phones sold by the well know network providers are locked to their own network. Seeing as this is not unusual to have a phone locked to a network, it does not make sense why Bozowi would offer you an attractive price online, but then have two sentences under "General" near the bottom of their terms and conditions saying if your phone is locked they will offer you a revised price. Why is this revised price not shown online when you get a quote? As a customer why would you send off your perfectly good mobile phone to a company and play a price lottery, as you have no idea what they will offer you? I was offered a revised price of £195. Not only is this £50.50 less than quoted online but also it is uncompetitive with other mobile phone recyclers. If I had known this I would of never have sent them my phone to Bozowi. Another company I had used previously was offering £238 for my phone. (To add they are upfront on their website and tell you clearly the give you two prices for locked and unlocked phones) I only chose Bozowi for £7.50 extra, and as they seemed reputable, 11 years in business I went with them. In my mind I thought the extra £7.50 would cover the postage cost. The only conclusion I can come to is that Bozowi do not give you one of the best prices for your mobile, they instead could be obtaining business through a technique known as "Deception". This is where you lure a customer in by offering something that is not obtainable to everyone and then once they have you in, offer you a lower price. At this point they have your phone and if you want it sent back it would cost you £10. (This is stated in their lengthy terms and conditions but if you believe your phone has met those conditions it is not a fee you expect to pay) This may leave you the customer feeling its easier to just accept the reduced price offered, as it will cost you to get it sent back and then you have to start over again. The other option I was offered was to call my network provider and ask if they will unlock my phone for me. Anticipating this offer I did this before my call and was told by Tmobile it would cost £20.83 and may take up to 21 days to unlock. This was not feasible as it still leaves me out of pocket and you can't expect to wait over 21 days before you get either your phone or payment for your phone. One other point is I was told my phone failed on Bozowi's "Testing Criteria". This was not the case either. My phone met all the criteria online and in their terms and conditions, it was just a general rule Bozowi put in the terms and conditions which is not mentioned anywhere else on their website. You would think something that can cause a £50.50 drop in your price would be clear from the start before you enter into a contract. When I asked why wasn't the website updated immediately to stop this from happening, I was told that the website is managed overseas and it would be of a great cost to get the website amended. However, their website has been recently updated with fancy changing banners promoting there business since 1999 and other promotional offers. Doesn't seem to be a problem with cost there. I have also seen in another Trustpilot review that Bozowi have said the website will be updated in 2-3 months. So until then the confusion over locked/unlocked mobiles continues. I also find it strange that when they send you your welcome letter there is a tear off strip that actually asks you what network your phone is on. Why is this? At this point it may have been a good idea to mention on the tear off slip that if your phone is not unlocked you will get a reduced price. When I spoke to Bozowi the first time I did speak to a helpful member of staff. He told me it would cost £10 to get my phone sent back, I asked if this can be waived to compensate the situation and that I was also aware this had been done for other customers who have had the same problem as me. He said he would ask the manager and contact me by e-mail by the end of the day. I was not contacted back and I then had to call the following day to see what was going on. From 9am the following day I called their 08715269362 number several times but the phone was not answered and just kept ringing. I finally got through at 13:51 and spoke to a lady. She confirmed that she can see the phone is due to be sent back and if I had not given over my card details the phone has been sent back for free. This call could have been avoided if I was contacted the previous day. My phone arrived back this morning and I am now going to send it to another mobile phone recycler with a clear policy for £221. Unfortunately while my phone was with Bozowi the price of the other mobile phone recycler had reduced to being a week later. Apart from being a waste of time for me and Bozowi staff, I still remain out of pocket. - £6.35 for sending my phone to Bozowi - £7.14 from calling their 0871 number from my mobile (9 mins worth of calls in total) - £17 from the deprecation of my phone while it was with Bozowi. Total = £30.49 out of pocket. I must say Bozowi did waive the charge of £10 to send my phone back to me which I am grateful for but can only say is fair of them to do so I am still left out of pocket. Another confusing matter about the £10 charge to get your phone back is the comparison site I used states: "If you are not at all satisfied with the process or money offered by Bozowi once you have sent your phone to them, they will even return your phone to you FREE of charge". This may need to be updated as this contradicts Bozowi's terms and conditions. All I can say is if you choose to do business with Bozowi wait until their website is updated and clear, or take a few hours out and read their terms and condition through carefully. Once you have done that, read it through again because if you blink twice you may miss two sentences that will leave you out of pocket and very annoyed. Lessons learnt: 1. If it seems to be to good to be true, it probably is. 2. Read several reviews from trusted sites before doing business. 3. In my opinion never trust a company that sends you a letter signed by a company name. Any business proud Company Director should take responsibility and sign his or her name on every welcome letter. Failure to do so indicates there is something to hide. Everything you have read above relates to my experience with Bozowi. I’m sure there are many happy Bozowi customers who have had a smooth transaction. Unfortunately I am not one of them. The only saving grace is they agreed to send my phone back to me for free.

Like some of the other comments on here, they are quite sneaky as a company and although they say "all our customers should read the terms & conditions clearly", as a company they could in fact make things a lot clearer from the off set! I've used several different phone recycling companies over the years and luckily never had any problems until now. I've never had an issue with the phone being 'network provider locked' previously, so this was a new one to me. If I'd known this, I would have contacted my provider, waited for the necessary means for the phone to be network unlocked, and then sent the phone off for recycling! As well as the original good price offered (before they deducted the amount because of the network being locked), one of the other reasons I went with them was because of the payment speed, being 3 days! Unfortunatly though, I'm at the beginning of the 4th day and I've still not received the payment. I have however received an email today to say that the payments been processed and I'll have it in 3 days! So effectively I've had to wait 7 working days to get paid, and that's if this even gets paid on time. Personally, they've not been the worst company I've ever dealt with, but there are plenty of better companies out there for phone recycling... In my opinion!

Very disappointing and I can't recommend anyone use them. I used their freepost envelope and sent it back by return of post several weeks ago. I also confirmed that I had already posted it when I received an automated reminder around a week later. I was today informed that my order had "just" arrived but was outside the required time period to receive the price promised on their website. How odd - I posted other items the same day, all of which arrived at their destinations within the usual few days that I would expect. Nowhere on the envelope provided did it say that their freepost service could take weeks to arrive and I would risk losing the chance of any reimbursement. Having read the negative reviews from other customers with similar experiences, I am surprised that Bozowi have not taken any positive action to improve customer satisfaction - such as improving the speed of their return service or lengthening the the time period that their "offers" are valid or even just being honest with customers about how appallingly slow their "free" service is. Luckily my phone wasn't worth much so I don't feel cheated like some others obviously do but I am annoyed in principle about their poor service. I have emailed them to let them know this. There are better and more honest companies out there to recycle your phone with. In response to the subsequent reply from Bozowi.... Thank you for your comprehensive answer explaining the problems that you are having with Royal Mail but this is hardly the fault of the customer and we are the ones being penalised. Whilst I appreciate that there may be some issues here beyond your control, what is certainly within your powers to do is minimise the impact on your customers by either extending the time period that your offers are valid for and / or letting customers know that using your freepost service is currently likely to result in late delivery and thus downgrading of the offer price. Whilst you do neither of these things, it is only through customer reviews like mine that others can find out everything that they need to know to make an informed choice about which company to use. I received a poor service from you and I stand by my review.

sent phone off in non-working condition. used there free post service with a certificate of posting for reference. took two weeks to receive an email claiming the charging port was damaged and they were only offering £6!!! charging port was NOT damaged in any way, shape or form. I HAVE BEEN RIPPED OFF. in order to receive my phone back, if i rejected the offer, i was subject to returns postal charges. i still have another phone to be recycled by bozowi, which has currently been in the post for almost three weeks, and i'm not looking forward to it. DO NOT, I REPEAT DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE. DO YOUR RESEARCH AND EMAIL THEM WITH PHONES CURRENT CONDITION TO GET CONFIRMATION, THIS COULD HAPPEN TO YOU, AND BE RIPPED OFF WITH A VERY EXPENSIVE MOBILE PHONE!!

After I rejected Bozowi's new offer, which suddenly was a lot lower than first agreed for my Iphone,(Basically they changed their offer once they had my phone). i wrote a review sharing my concerns. Bozowi did not like this and so they have threatened to sue me and have kept my phone and refused to respond to my emails. Why you ask? simple, I refused to allow them to rip me off!!!!!!!!!!! I have informed trading standards and BBC watchdog. USE BOZOWI AT YOUR OWN PERIL...........YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I rang up to see how far my order had got and was put through to a very helpful lady who answered all questions i had. Ok fair enough my order was downgraded by £5 due to some deep scratches but £49 for my Blackberry was still more that what other competitors were offering. No big deal really as it wasn't in perfect condition. Advisor was very helpful and chatty making my customer experience better than most places i've had to ring! Top Marks Bozowi! Tom

Wanted to quickly get rid of my iPhone 4S and naively went with the company that was offering the most money. Sent my iPhone by special delivery which cost £6 to find that when they tested my phone although it was working it was found to have water damage, so I was therefore offered less than half my original offer. I would see this as fair however to my knowledge my phone has never had contact with water, no where near enough to cause water damage anyway. I then find out I have to pay £5 to have them send it back! (which im sure will take much longer than thenext day delivery I had used) Totally my fault for not reading the small print but what a waste of time and money! I have spoke to a friend and he suggested that maybe rain water may have caused the damage which could be feaseable but doubtful... I'm pretty convinced this was a cheap shot at trying to lower their cost. Hopefully phone will come back ok and I can sell privately instead, as the phone was fine! Massive waste of time but two lessons learnt, 1- don't be so greedy and 2- read the small print!! Oh and I have just been advised by them that I need to pay £10 to have my phone sent back, I only paid £6 for special delivery to get it there so now they want to make £4 off me as well these guys really are something else a complete joke please don't use! Use a trusted site such as [Link] etc instead may not be as good a price but much better service! Lessons learnt!

Best rate for the phone (unfortunately not much). I felt uneasy about using an unknown site (i hadn't heard of Bozowi but I found them on google). I left a review on trustpilot which was 3/5 stars. I mistakenly thought that I hadn't received confirmation of the agreed amount for the phone. However, I've since realised that they had sent one invoice but my email did not display the images of the message which contained the agreed price. Unfortunately, I received a letter this morning from Bozowi threatening legal action to take me to court so that they could have my review removed and have me pay the costs of their "loss of business" as a result of my review, losses which they said amount to approximately £5000 to date. I perceived this letter to be a gross over reaction and I found it to be very threatening. I will never consider Bozowi again. I believe they have not acted fairly towards me and I feel that they have not conducted themselves in a professional manner.

Was a bit short on cash, so decided to sell my phone, Bozowi beat all the rest of the major sites by £2, got my money into my bank very quickly, they received the phone on wednesday, got the money friday! very easy to use site, only a slight minor glitch, when I logged into the site, it still says my order is a "new order" and "not paid" even though I have been paid etc, BUT I always received emails at every step so was always kept up to date of my order. Also something I would add to the site is a bit where you can print your own order form and send it off sooner than waiting for the bag, which after reading the reviews some people have done before but I couldnt see anywhere on the site that says you can. Overall it was a great experence, very easy, and will definitely recommend and use again. Thanks bozowi!

This site is brilliant. I've just got back from a holiday, to find the money in my account & lots of update emails from them, informing me of every step, from receving my phone, to my payment is being proccessed. I sent off another old phone to a different company the day before this one to Bozowi & haven't heard a thing from them! Which is a bit worring, as the phone I sent was worth more money then the one I sent to Bozowi. This makes Bozowi look even better in comparison to the other site I used. I would definately use Bozowi again, also the extra 50p on my next order is a nice touch. Thanks Bozowi :)

I was a little reluctant to send my items off after readings some of the reviews. I sent off a non working blackberry and also a working iPod nano both which were in their boxes (but my iPod was missing the earphones). I didn't wait for the free postage pack and instead sent my items off by recorded post for safe delivery. A few days later I received an email to say they had transferred a payment to my account. Approximately 2-3 days later the money was in my bank account (full quote price).

I was very angry when Bozowi automatically processed my phone at a lower price despite a number of requests to return the handset. Yes, my phone was received one business working day after the expiry date and I understand why, based on Bozowi’s terms and conditions, a price change was triggered, but this does not excuse the fact that all my subsequent requests to return my phone were ignored. This led me to leave a fairly cutting review of my Bozowi customer experience. I was then fairly shocked some weeks later when I received a letter threatening legal action if I did not either justify my comments or remove the review. Having sent a formal written reply I was pleasantly surprised when, at my request, a senior customer service representative from Bozowi called me back in person to discuss my review. It transpired that: - a) The points made in my original review were all factually correct and accurately described my customer experience with Bozowi. My opinion was also accurately expressed. b) Bozowi’s current communication process is heavily automated and, due to this automation, does not always handle customer e-mails in the way that it should. c) Bozowi also conceded that their terms and conditions, when seen from a customer’s perspective, are perhaps not as clear as they could be. Especially as they allow a longer time to receive orders than their initial terms state. In my case I found this particularly misleading as the expiry dates quoted on-line, in their written letters and their subsequent automated e-mails did not always match up. I discovered that many of these are issues that Bozowi are already aware of and are in the process of fixing. In my case, some of my e-mails ‘fell down the cracks’ and this is what led to me having such a poor customer experience, hence my original review. Whilst it is a shame that it took such a cutting review and a subsequent threat of legal action to get Bozowi actually talking to me, our recent communications have proved useful and Bozowi now have several pointers which they are working on in order to improve the overall customer experience. *** Please Note: In the light of recent activity on TrustPilot I can confirm that this is a genuine edit to my original review. I am a genuine customer and I am also happy to discuss this directly and objectively with anyone who wishes to contact me - as Bozowi did, and I'm glad they did, and as several others on TrustPilot have too ...

this company is fake and ripping people no matter what you explain that doest satisfy..question is who blocked my mobile..i have not blocked my mobile so my carrier has not blocked either only person could benefit from this was only bozowi.and on top of this some one rang me from bozowi and said take review out or they are not paying me for my 8520 sent to them lol this company is worse i have all proof.and i am not even asking 9790 back only asking send to my carrier or police so making sure they dont rip me off but clearly they refuse to do this.this is how bad this company is.just save yourself from this company. well i have sorted with police and my network but this whole point no one blocked mobile from my side..then who did in first place.i dont want money or mobile anymore so in short terms bozowi did block in first place so they could steel mobile under their terms and conditions.no one is that stupid.nothing explains no matter what this company says.question is who blocked it.
