BoConcept is Denmark’s most global retail chain of contemporary design furniture with 260+ successful stores in more than 65 countries around the world.
I had an issue with a chair I bought at Tottenham Court Road. However, after discussing with the store manager, they sent me a new one at no extra cost. I am a happy customer.
Update: So I have just been called by the service team and we have been able to reach a resolution. I do appreciate the people that have looked into this like Angelina. Although it caused me stress emotionally I am glad to see it resolved and the store agreeing to refund my money. Would I still buy from BoConcept in future if I had the chance, I would say yes because their products look classy. Also special mention for Ellie at the Tottenham Court Road branch. She was very professional and the in store experience was great.
Perfect service and a perfect team of salespeople, thank you very much.
Clear comms from customer service team, inspector politeness and efficency.
BoConcept Schweiz. Sehr schlechte Qualität. Stuhl im Wert von CHF 394.00 geht kaputt wegen schlechter Verarbeitung! Wird nicht ersetzt!
My in store experience was wonderful with Manager DEV JEYNES.He made a note for my needs week before and promised me to find the items and call me for update. He did call. I visited the shop and made very welcome. staff are good. but,Manager DEV JEYNES service was outstanding.
We ordered a Modena Sofa in Fabric, and Leather and a Modena chair in Fabric a few weeks back. Took delivery a few days ago, which was really quick, very happy with the delivery guys, they unpacked and set up the furniture, which looks fabulous btw! they disposed of the packaging too. Ordering from the Notting Hill branch was fine, very helpful. My only complaint is that theres no real info on when to use the fabric Protector? One delivery guy says to use it straight away, the other one said no need to use it for a few months as it comes protected, I checked online but it says it depends on the fabric! anyways, its Bristol Light grey Fabric 6060, if anyone can help? and when do I use the leather conditioner? I am reading different advice, some say not to use Leather conditioner on new leather, others say to use immediately, I am confused! mine is Cognac York Leather 5120, if anyone can help. After say all this, the furniture looks amazing and is comfortable. *Thank you to Bo Concept for the speedy reply, Fabric Protector is now applied to the fabric furniture and Leather Conditioner to the leather sofa, all good!
I’ve had a really negative experience with this company, and it’s still ongoing. Bought a sofa from them, which was delivered damaged. They tried to repair it, which unfortunately was unsuccessful. I was offered a partial replacement, which I wasn’t happy with. Since then I’ve been trying to exercise my right of return and refund under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, which BoConcept is repeatedly failing to honour. Honestly, I’d avoid them at all costs - this situation has left me both stressed and disappointed.
We had a realy nice time in the store. Nice furnitures and very friendly and helpful people around us. They even offered us help afterwards. A visit is highly recommended.
Our in-store experience was wonderful, the assistance we received from their interior designer Jessica Bettley was very professional, she very quickly identified the style and colours we were looking for to enhance the quality of the living space we wanted to improve. Shge provided us with excellent product information and after care needs that helped us make an informed decision on the purchase of the sofa without any stress. The sofa has fitted into our living sapce perfectly and looks amazing. Delivery of the sofa was very efficient, thanks for your supportr Jessica, we are very happy with the sofa.
Amazing experience Veronika Utri was so helpful, patient and thoughtful. She took all the time of the world to her review the collection, provide advice, doing several designs on the screen, following-up. Always with a smile. 5-star experience and would definitely recommend asking for her help.
Second time that our table is not delivered. The distribution team and customer service were not able to explain what was the problem during the first scheduled date. Later we found out that the paperwork with booking never reached the warehouse. The deliver got re-scheduled for today and we didn’t receive the table. We didn’t get any phone call from the courier or the distribution team. We decided to contact the store and they cannot contact anyone. This is beyond frustrating! Someone should investigate this internally. I have read other comments and this seems to be a recurrent issue. UPDATE: 19.09.2023 table being assembled now. The packages were open and there are two cracks very visible on the tabletops! Packaging team must have seen it. We are told by assembling team that the instructions given by BoConcept was to assemble the product and then they will send someone to change the table tops! What service is this? This cannot be the way BoConcept wants to operate in the UK.
We bought a modular Indivi sofa from BoConcept last year. Our order was finally delivered after 3 months, however, to our astonishment it was not correct. Two right-hand part of the sofa have been delivered, so it is impossible to put the sofa together, as the left-hand part of the sofa was missing. The team putting the sofa together left the partially assembled sofa in our living room floor (which you cannot sit on) cluttering our living room and refused to take the sofa with them. It took another 3 months for us to receive the correct part, so the sofa could be finally assembled! The customer service was very disappointing, it was not possible to speed this process up, we had to wait for a replacement the same length of time like the first time. We also had a Lugano shelf delivered with a smoked glass panel at the front, which was to allow us to hide our our TV equipment and wifi inside, but it turns out that we have to have the lid open during the day all the time, as our wifi signal does not seem to work when locked behind the glass wall and our Tivo does not have signal there either. It was sold as the item specially designed to hide the TV equipment, but it does not work, so it is not fit for purpose, as the signal does not get through when the lid is closed. It was quite an expensive shelf that looks good but is useless. This is not what we expected, having paid quite a lot of money for the furniture and the service. I was very disappointed with the quality of the products and the level of service provided by the BoConcept team. It is really not acceptable that the Company do not have any quality control, to allow faulty items to leave the warehouse. It seemed that nobody checked the design or whether all the parts were there. Having ordered from BoConcept previously this was not the level of service we expected. Very disappointing experience.
I would give them zero stars if I could. The worst customer service I have ever had in my life throughout. I would really recommend noone purchasing anything from them as should you have any claim or issue with your product you are unlikely to get anywhere. Just buy elsewhere
While getting plans drawn up for a large open plan extension on our 2003 Muir Home we decided to take a trip to a Home Show at the Ingliston Exhibition Centre for some interiors inspiration. By luck we managed to chat to James Bruce at the Bo Concept stand who told us about their free planning and design service and gave us his business card to get in touch when we were ready. That was in 2019. Covid then saw us put the build on hold until 2021. I’d popped into the Rose St branch in Edinburgh by chance during a family trip and immediately recognised James. I told him the build was about to start that next week and he immediately got the ball rolling. He wasted no time in getting a copy of our plans and drawing up some fabulous interiors configurations. We’d already discussed the look and style we were after and were confident he knew precisely what pieces would work in the available space. He certainly didn’t disappoint! It was exciting being able to view the 3D renderings which gave us a realistic view of the room and layout of the furniture. Nothing was too much trouble for James and the Edinburgh team. The whole process from beginning to end was perfect. Delivery and installation was seamless. We are thrilled to bits with the final look and feel of our new space. So much so that we tracked James down at his new position in the Aberdeen store and he worked with us to draw up new 3D renderings for our old ‘front room’ in the house. Although a much smaller space it feels just as roomy as the open plan area with the design and pieces that James suggested. Another room that we are in love with .. it’s our quiet, relaxing space. We can’t thank James enough for his patience, design expertise and advice. We wouldn’t hesitate in recommending Bo Concept for anything from a new sofa to a full renovation project. The quality of the furniture is second to none and the Lifetime Guarantee was a definite selling point .. which we don’t imagine we will need. but it’s there if required. We miss James’ friendly banter but sadly don’t have any more rooms needing renovated (just yet!).
We purchased A sofa and chairs from Bo Concept in Fenwick in Newcastle. Jess was very helpful with the design and then the order and delivery process. We received the delivery of furniture last week and love it. Thanks Jess
courtesy, helpful, communications were all outstanding, Angelina was great
On a recent trip to Edinburgh, I visited the BoConcept store hoping to find furnishings for an extension that was being built onto our house in Cornwall. I was not disappointed - from the outset, I was given full attention and great advice on what would work for us. On my return to Cornwall, we set up a virtual appointment to look at a 3D room plan, which was also extremely useful, as our living area was boarded up at the time and it was difficult to imagine how the new items would be placed. As I am prone to second guessing myself, I changed my mind on certain aspects a few times. However, nothing was too much trouble for the Edinburgh team and I was only met with great patience and sound advice. There was also the issue of transporting the furniture from Scotland to Cornwall. Even this didn’t seem to present a problem and everything arrived on time and in perfect condition. We are absolutely thrilled with the finished result and cannot thank the BoConcept enough for all their help.
I don't usually leave reviews for furniture stores but my experience with BoConcept has honestly been top notch! A few months after purchasing a coffee table from them, I noticed that one of the table tops have shifted upwards slightly. An impromptu visit to their store on Sunday led to an appointment on that following Thursday with promises that I'd be the first visit on their list as I won't be available in the afternoon. The guys arrived at 10am and was extremely respectful of my property. Took their shoes off outside without needing to be asked, dealt with the issue efficiently then even helped me out with some recycling that I had at home!! I think a lot of people tend to worry about the hoops that one has to jump through to get aftercare services as I'm sure most companies make it sound like it has to be an extreme circumstance before they are willing to give you the time of their day. But the Lifetime Warranty that BoConcept offers is true to their word and definitely gives me reassurance that I'm well taken care of!! Note - bought the item from Glasgow, requested the service from Edinburgh. Eilidh and Sae from both stores respectively are awesome, would 100% recommend!
This rating is primarily for the service I received (in the initial stages) from the design consultant, Joao; and more recently (and over a longer period) from the customer service manager (Angelina). They were professional and patient in their service and generally put themselves in my shoes to make sure my needs were met. It would be really helpful though if the business ensured that its supply pipelines and communication / collaboration with its suppliers were more efficient to ensure that (i) customers are not disappointed; and (ii) front of shop staffers are not consistently put in uncomfortable positions (including having to explain to and placate disappointed customers) for circumstances beyond their control.
