First order was placed an order on 18/01/2025 and cannot get through to anyone to ask why my order has not yet been dispatched my order is non-medical so it should have been dispatched by now. It took me ages to find a phone number to call at all and I can't locate the email address. The number is HIDDEN on their website, not the Contact Us page. When I did find it, you can't speak to anyone as the line says they volume of calls is too great. I am considering just doing a cashback and ordering elsewhere due to my lack of trust due to being unable to contact them. I wish I had checked their website for contact details and transparency before using them.
Extremely poor service. I am long term customer. Ordered drugs 2 weeks ago , vet sent prescription same day. No response form Animed, sent two emails, no response. Phone number disappeared from their website, found it elsewhere called number apprently no longer taking calls!! This company has become a shambles- now have to get expensive tablets from our vet Update: managed to speak with advisor - they apologised for the error of noticing prescription and assocoating with order. received email today with written apology and plan to get product delivered. upgrading to 3 star
Ordered Items on 6th January & only received 1 item so far & I paid for express delivery. I stupidly ordered several additional items on the 10th - only 1 item still recieved to date. They are slow replying to emails. Claimed that they didn't know which pet a prescription was for?? When it is clearly labelled on the document. I will NOT use this service again, whatever has happened here, the right hand doesn't seem to know what the left is doing & in the meantime I am stressed watching my 2 dogs & cat scratching because they urgently need their flea treatment & not being able to do a thing about it. I'm just grateful they don't need life saving medication, like some. Despite that, my pets are uncomfortable and of all things I like them to be happy & comfortable. So what on Earth is going on here? A new website is not an excuse for poor customer service. I an very far from happy & I do not recommend this company in its current state. Use at your own peril.
As usual service from Animed was exceptional and outstanding. I would recommend this company to all pet owners. Great value for money, exceptional selection of products and speedy and efficient delivery service.
Ordered food and medication on the 13th of Jan, the food appeared the next day which was great, unfortunately there was no sign of the cats medication, I've called 23 times in 7 days and never got through, I've also e-mailed 3 times and not had a reply, when I finally got through on Monday I was told they had lost my prescription during a 'migration' and I needed to reorder with a new one, when I called on Tuesday to confirm they had received it the phones were off for 'staff training' which is utter rubbish!!, still off today(Wednesday) and I've no idea if they have it or not, I've now got no choice but to go and get ANOTHER prescription and buy from the vets at a massive premium as I can't wait any longer. NEVER EVER order medication from these cowboys. Disgraceful excuse for a business.
Regular monthly customer. Tried to order on website as usual. Website changed. Previous orders not there. Wouldn’t accept prescription. Tried phoning message said extremely busy send e mail. Sent e mail no response. Ordered elsewhere What a shame
Ordered cat tooth cleaning kit with royal mail two day deliver, over a week later and no sign of it. No reply to emails from the company. Update, tried to call, they hang up because it's too busy. My order still says processing. I won't use again and will try for a refund.
Ordered food on 15th Jan with express delivery, expecting it to arrive within a couple of days (website stated 1-3 days). I had read the reviews by ‘most relevant’ beforehand, and wished I’d looked at the most recent reviews. I had not received any update by 20th Jan, so emailed asking for it to be dispatched by the next day or for my order to be cancelled. I was told items were out of stock from my order, which should’ve been reflected on their website, or I should have been notified without the need to chase. After chasing, my order was escalated and dispatched the following day, without the missing items and I have today received a refund for the missing item. I just don’t think it should be that difficult to pack items from a warehouse and send them out, it certainly shouldn’t be taking a week to process an order for dog food. I was a first time customer and won’t be returning.
My husband and I had a terrible and frustrating experience with Animed Direct the week beginning 6th January. In spite of having debited the sum of £37.41 from our bank account, immediately they received a prescription from us, they then queried its legitimacy, and so Medivet issued another one on 8th January. They wrongfully queried that one, and we spent the next 48 hours trying to get in touch via email and phone to no avail. Customer services never picked up the phone or replied to any of our emails. We were forced to cancel the order on Monday, 13th January, and Viovet dispensed and issued the medication within 2 days! What made this even more distressing is that we were running short of Metacam for our 18 year old dog, a fact they were aware of. Thankfully Medivet and Viovet responded very swiftly. We will never use Animed Direct again. Not only was communication with their Customer Services department non-existent for a whole week, no apology was ever forthcoming for the inaction on their part, and failure to communicate.
It’s the best pet store I’ve ordered the dog food in the UK. Excellent quality products at very competitive prices and all backed up by fantastic customer support ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Animed used to be great but the new website is hopeless. Have removed a load of functionality. Why introduce a new website before it's ready?

Set up a repeat prescription for my dog, 1st order took ages to be despatched, I had to chase it, the repeat has not been despatched and emails have been ignored, now having to look elsewhere for my prescription, when I'm very tight on time before I run out

With reluctance following appalling service again last month resulting in a 3 week delay leaving my cat without specialist food I had to place an order for dried food following a delay elsewhere. Placed order early Thursday express delivery for two bags of dried specialist food. Order confirmed. My partner not realising I had done it placed the exact same order after mine for exactly same thing, same address and express delivery. His order turned up Saturday. Sunday evening and mine has not even been dispatched yet again. No communication, no reason as it clearly was in stock and no option to cancel. Given 5th time problem with an order would expect them to have ensured it was dispatched. Luckily this time my cat has not ran out again as they decided to deliver my partner's order over mine. Clearly prioritising new customers to get good reviews and despite telling me they were sorry and not their standard of service very obviously is. Having checked the order was placed very early Friday. That said it was less than 24 hours after and now Monday evening and still not even dispatched so again not express delivery and no idea when it will appear if at all
This will be the last prescription my vet sends Animed. In December my pets medication increased £5 from the previous month. Now Animed has a fancy new website and I've just gone to order more medication and it's increased another £7! £12 increase in 2 months. Utter greed. Last month Animed blamed this on Supplier prices. I've looked at other vet dispensing sites and this isn't the case Animed £1.17 per tablet 365 vet - £0.98 for 5.4mg Viovet- £1.04 for 5.4mg UK Pet Drugs £1.00 for 5.4mg Pet drugs online £1.04 for 5.4mg They do have a fancy new website also and I wonder if this has pushed their prices up!
Would give 5 stars,but I wish you could have let me know about the new prescription rules earlier.
I have used animed for years. I order and its usually dispatched within days. I ordered flea and wormer on the 13th of January and it still hasn't been dispatched. I need to flea my cats. Its now gone over their due date. This really isn't good for your business. I've emailed twice and have had no response. Since new website its not been the same. Please can you just dispatch what I have ordered and I will then go else where next time but I do need this now. Order Date: 13 January 2025 Update: since continuing to ignore my emails and deleting my Facebook comment.. I have canceled the order. Won't be returning.
I ordered my dogs medication on the 7th and have still not received it, sent serval emails with zero responses and called many times and been told lines are too busy and had the phone put down on me my dogs paws have started bleeding again, spent £90 with no response and no item, they also did the same thing last month when I ordered completely irresponsible and unprofessional will never order from them again! And I advice you all not to either!
