I'm not happy with the shower arrangement. I wasn't made aware of and surprised that I would need a larger water heater. I had to replace a good 30 gallon water heater with a new 50 gallon for an extra $1000. The installation was good except for a water leak on a connection for the commode. The water leak seeped thru the wall under the carpet in the bedroom before I was aware of the leak. I hope there won't be any mold later.

the installation was very good but one motor malfunctioned but was replaced, the rest of the components worked satisfactory. nice tub works very well, have a suggestion for a big person you sit two high in the tub the seat should be lowered, and a removable piece put on the seat for a smaller person to maintain the regular height . think about it!!! I think it would be a great concept, and much more comfortable for a bigger person thanks RON

Quality installation. Tub is and does everything that we expected. The only problem was on first fill... net enough hot water to fill the tub. We got a tank-less heater and problem solved.

First bath when the water reached my waist, I dropped the soap.... Now I have Ivory, it floats. Also, I didn't have enough hot water. So, now I am also the proud owner of a water less tank. HOT WATER NOW! It's really nice!

After looking at two other options, I bought American standard tub. My home is in the country, and it's old. To install the tub was a project in it self. How ever the installers did a wonderful job by the time they finished. They told me everything about the tub. I was really pleased with the results and the tub. Nice job guy's. Price is somewhat high, but well worth it believe me.

This tub is great and the door that opens out is wonderful

We enjoy and I feel my wife can bath safely.. I have not figured out what the repair kit is all about, no directions came with it. Perhaps someone reviewing this will respond Charles Bryant

The tub is to small to get my shoulders into the water to soak or get massage, I'm only six foot tall .

Professional & Clean Installation

We are so happy that we purchased the walk in tub. I, Judy have Arthritis throughout my body and back muscle spasms and Bob has hip and leg pain, so we enjoy the jets. The tub fills up fast and emptys in less than 2 minutes. I believe it helps me sleep better and I feel invigorated when I get out. I'd recommend the walk in tub to every senior and Bob agrees with me. We bought the American Standard Liberation model. It cleans and dries easy and has aromatherapy and a incline heater, a neck rest to help you relax and enjoy the jets. Also, 4 colors to enjoy while watching the water. With the walk in tub you get 28 Air massage jets, wrist massage Leg therapy, leg massage and upper body massage. Best purchase we ever made.

My Elderly parents who suffer from hearing loss and dementia were suckered into buying one of these tubs. They only have one full bath in the entire house. After paying 15000$, signing the contracts and having the tub installed, they were very disappointed to discover their hot water heater does not provide enough hot water to fill the tub even once and that they now would have to upgrade their two year old hot water heater. They also cannot believe how small the unit is for showering. After all who needs a jetted bath everyday. Sometimes a shower is required. They called the company and were told too bad there is nothing they can do. Even though a previous reviewer on this site was offered no monetary refund but at least to have them remove the tub and provide them with a stand up shower. After reading that we were hopeful american standard would do the right thing and help them recover from this awful situation. If your loved ones mention this tub tell them to do the research and to ask stand in one first. Don't let them get swindled like our parents..

I've had my walkin tub for several months now. I used to have a deep whirlpool and because of physical limitations I hadn't taken a bath in 10 plus years. It was extremely difficult getting in and and even worse trying to get up and out (dangerous too). My walkin tub has been wonderful. I wash hair and body while it fills using the hand shower and then fill it up and use all the jets and relax for 15 minutes. The power drain takes about a minute and stand and shower off. It couldn't be better for me. Worth every penny.

We do love the tub but it's a bit small for the man. The install guys were great! The salesman, on the other hand only showed us one model (the highest dollar one), and didn't take into consideration that we may need a wider tub. We didn't know until after the fact that there were different sizes. It's fine for me but not for the man. We got it for him to use initially because of his health problems. I would have given this 5 stars if not for the lousy salesman.

Other than our sales person(Garland)there is no number that we can call to get answers to questions.

I do not worry about falling, which I was doing before we bought the tub. We love it

We had to call to get the installation moving. More than 8 or 9 weeks had gone by when we were told 4-5. However, I do love the tub now that I have it. I only wish the door opening was a little larger and that there was a control on the air jets. They are way too forceful and the water splashes onto the floor when they are in use.

The two installers were very efficient and got the job done promptly. My wife and I just love our new spa/tub and it really relaxes with the jets going.

It was a great experience! The install was completed in one day and the tub is great! I really enjoy it!

Good tub, lacking documentation we have a number of questions at this time.
