I like the walk in tub very much. I love using the lights as I'm in it. The husband and wife team installers did an excellent job installing the tub and the toilet/bidet. I try not to use the tub everyday so when I use it it's like a special extra treat for me.
We are really enjoying our walk in shower, the investment me Made in a long time.
maybe due to my being a CNA that I see things that just are not what I would want. the faucet sticks way to far out. the grab bar would do better on the edge of the tub, not in it. these 2 things are a problem for plus size bathers (bang yourself on them getting in & out). also sides need to be taller so you can get the water level up to your chest/over breasts. when sitting on the bench in mine the water only gets to my belly button. sides 6 to 8 inches higher would be better. also, keep interior lights on so you can see that the water level is bellow the bottom of the door before getting out.
The install was quick and decent. Although, the hot and cold were backwards and the caulking shrunk way to much. Other than that, very happy with the tub
Let me tell you..my mother died in march 2008 and I inherited her home and suddenly this sweet house I had grown up in turned on me. Now I am currently on disability but otherwise I am a Licensed Professional Counselor. I don't know about plumbing or gutters or insulation, I know how to call maintenance and this was no longer an option. Some of the service people were adequate, some would become so angry because I didn't know what they were talking about, it just went on and on. My happiest day was when I called the ad for a new shower and the salesman came and he was wonderful. Sorry I cant remember his name but he turn everything around and just made me believe again. Everything he said would be done was done and in a timely manner. This type of service carried thru the entire experience from the contractors to the follow-up calls checking to see if I was satisfied. No doubt--the best!
Love my American Standard Walk-in tub. The installers were professional and explained how to care for and use the tub. I highly recommend the American Standard Walk-in-tub.
The tub looks Great. The installers worked hard to complete the installation in 1day. The installers knew the product well. The water pressure through tub is uneven. The jets on the entry side have higher output pressure then those on the opposite side.
Very responsive to any questions and service calls.
The television advertisements for the tub show a woman sitting in the tub with bubbles up to her shoulders. This is false advertising. I am 5' 3" and when the tub is full it only comes to mid-chest. In order for me to "soak" with water covering my shoulders I would have to scrunch down into an uncomfortable position. So if your wanting to buy a soaking tub, this is not for you. I paid 17 grand and didn't get what I was thinking I was getting.
Had the tub for nearly three months, and totally satisfied. Excellent job on installation, completed in one day. Performs as promised.

I am thoroughly enjoying my walk-in tub. Wish I had bought it much earlier. I know that it helps my circulation and relaxes my muscles. Hate to get out of the tub.

Installation was very professional. The installers were extremely helpful in going over the features and operation instructions. Exceeded our expectations.
I honestly would not have purchased a tub had I been able to try out the tub in a store first, I find I'm not very happy with it the longer I have it, most uncomfortable to get in and out of, I still have a fear of falling. And I have not received any payment booklet or anything to make the payment.
I love my walk in tub. I don't have to worry about falling and really helps with my arthritis pain in back and legs.

The purchase and installation of the American Standard Walk-In Tub was a satisfying transaction. Use of the tub is easy and enjoyable. This eliminated the safety hazard in showering for my wife. I just regret that I did not buy the walk-tub a couple of years earlier. I would recommend this product and company to anyone.
