I could not recommend them any higher and wouldn't consider any other company to handle my pay. They have been wonderfully courteous, the staff are always friendly and every query I have ever had has been resolved quickly without drama. The biggest test of any company is how they resolve problems - the only one I had was coming back for a third time and there was a small clerical error. I called in and it was resolved within 5 minutes - I was kept informed the whole time and everything went smoothly after this. If I ever go back to contracting, I would not consider anyone other than Umbrella.co.uk to handle my pay - just disappointed to be directly employed now!

I have always found Umbrella.co.uk a very good organisation. They answer the phones in a timely fashion, they respond to emails promptly and always sort out any pay problems. I have recently had an great experience with Laura Royston - Customer Services Account Manager who I felt went above and beyond in helping me get the information and service that I needed. I appreciate it and it makes life so much easier when people do what they say them will. Thank you.
Their level of incompetence is shocking. I've had to deal with these people for almost a year and they have created nothing but troubles to me. They have messed up my taxation to a level that it's impossible to go back to the origin of the issue and resulted in me being overtaxed multiple times losing thousands of pounds. In the period I had to deal with them, payments were always extremely late which is very distressing. This caused a big issue especially when the tax year changed as I ended up not using the tax free allowance of the previous year and I was overtaxed. On top of that, they had to correct a payment due to overtaxing but instead of overwriting the two payments they declared both pays to HMRC so AGAIN I was overtaxed even if I received only one payment. Each time I get in touch with them to solve an issue they disappear for weeks (probably hoping people just give up) or come back with lame excuses like "if we have been in activity for so many years there must be a reason". Well, I don't understand the reason. Still have to decide if they are a scam or just incompetent. I'm still paying for their messes and will take legal action if they don't solve and I don't see my money back!
Late payments, Wrong tax deductions, Poor customer Service, no app or friendly portal.
I don't find them very helpful and if you need an early payment due to an emergency situation they cannot help. Useless umbrella company that take a big margin out of your wages but don't want to help you when you are in need.
I called on an enquiry to a disputed payment and was dealt the utmost politeness and diligent of services. A follow up call some 5 hours later had all matters expedited efficiently. A great warmth to know the company that runs my Payroll goes that extra mile and more. Thank you Jo and team
Absolutely a joke of a company charge you for a service they do no provided failed to pay full of excuses don't waste your time stay well clear
Absolutely shocking!! Not been paid for 2 weeks! With promises of being paid, spoke to a staff member this morning who then told me they had input the incorrect bank details! But as was their fault I would still be paid!! Called at 430 as still no payment, to be told I wasn't getting paid untill money bounced back!! Which is a joke, considering it was a fault of theirs! this company gets paid from myself to look after my wages and as it was their fault they should still pay me!! Anyway they ended up paying me an "advance" of a poxy £200, when I was told a minimum of £400 which is less than half of what I am owed and means that I am unable to pay my childcare, shopping or fuel to get to work. Avoid at all costs because you'll be told a different thing, every time. If you rely heavily on your wages (which I do) avoid these at all cost
Sitting here all night waiting for my partners wages to go into the bank, promised it would be by 5pm now 8pm can't get food, can't go out, can't put petrol in the car.. Promised it would be this evening. Of course the office is shut till Monday morning. An absolute joke. Despicable, disgusting joke.

I've called Umbrella a few times and have always received a quick and easy reply to my questions. Furthermore I'd like to praise Sarah Baker who has been helpful, friendly and funny, or more than one occasion. It helps to be greeted by a friendly voice, especially one that recognises you and remembers the previous conversation.
