I been with this company for quite few years but recently worst service and policy. Apparently they close down the account automatically if it's not paid in few weeks and then when reactivated they put me on emergency tax code and it's a night mare to get it sorted and check the tax refund.. worst experience to be honest!!
I would recommend James and Ellie to anyone. As a consultant who's candidates get paid weekly. Im very lucky that because I primarily use Umbrella.co.uk - I very rarely have any issues. Having happy candidates as a recruiter means that they will stay in their contracts for longer. James and Ellie are always very friendly and from what I've heard from my candidates, they are very thorough with them as well. Genuinely wouldn't refer to anyone else!

Great service (from Nicholas Ginindza) and extremely professional. He really took his time to explain every detail of my income, tax owed and other details such as expense claims. For someone who isn’t great with numbers and quite new to the Ltd company accounting process, he made it extremely easy to follow.
I’ve had my wage paid, via Umbrella for a number of years. I have never needed to contact then, to query payment. It is always correct, paid on time with excellent communication about payment.
Umbrella were my accountant from 2012 until January 2023 when I closed my company to retire. They have always been extremely reliable and informative with information and good advice. I give special thanks to Emma Freeman who has been my personal accountant since 2015. I cannot praise her enough for her tireless work in getting everything right on time and done in such a nice manner. It’s been so comforting knowing your accounts are in such safe and reliable hands. She has been a pleasure to deal with over the last seven years. I can wholeheartedly recommend umbrella and Emma for anyone looking for Accounting services.
I contacted Umbrella company to get information at short notice to complete my tax return. As I am no longer a client of theirs, I did not expect to be treated as a priority but I could not have been more wrong. The call was answered promptly and rather than assist me in entering the account so that I could collate he information I needed, Sarah Baker, the agent I spoke to collated it on my behalf, and forwarded it to me in an email within minutes of the call ending and could not have been more helpful or more pleasant to deal with. I would not hesitate to come back to Umbrella company if I need the services of an umbrella company in future, or to recommend them to others. Thank you
