This is the absolute worst online shopping experience I have ever had in over 20 years of trading online. The order was dispatched in over 12 different packages (the size of the largest items ordered, individually were about the size of a shoe box), incorrect items were dispatched and after more than 8 weeks since placing the original order I finally received the last item. Added to this, the sales team closed the order as complete before the entire order was dispatched and a new order had to be created to complete the original order. This is a serious breach in the Consumer Guarantees Act and the company deserves to be investigated and prosecuted by the Commerce Commission. Their entire team who processes online orders deserve to be fired without notice and replaced. Any management team member who finds this level of performance acceptable should also fired without notice and replaced. With such atrocious levels of trading and business integrity, the owner of trade depot should be hanging is head in shame as a disgrace to himself and all his ancestors by allowing this to happen. Only do business with Trade Depot with the expectation of virtually no customer service what so ever... If there was a rating less than one star, they would've got it. Pay the extra and go to other well known outlets that stock similar products (I'm guessing that I'm not allowed to mention other companies like Bu....g's, M...10 or Pl...e M...rs)

On 03rd February 2025 I have ordered a toilet seat. The order was confirmed and payment arranged. It was confirmed online that the order was shipped to the Bay of Islands on 6th Februar. Today, 11 days later the goods still did not arrive. The tracking system in place doesn't work, the chatbot is not in the position to give a clear answer and trying to call the company TRADE DEPOT Auckland is hopeless,nobody picks up the phone. I consider it an unpleasant and time wasting experience and can only advise people "be prepared for trouble"when dealing with this company.

My transaction with Trade Depot was floorless! the ordering process was quick and easy, the communication was fast and accurate and the delivery was super quick. Thank you Trade Depot! PS: We love our fridge!!!

Could not recommend them any less. Worth spending more money and buying elsewhere. The wardrobes I ordered arrived nearly 3 months late. Customer service was atrocious to deal with, offering no solutions and plenty of empty promises. Then when it comes to assembling the wardrobes I think it would have been easier to go out and cut down trees and make them from scratch. The instructions were so unclear, and the videos very little help as well. You end up with a cheap product that looks and feels cheap, and takes 3 days to put together

Delivery non existent. No updates at all. 2 weeks after ordering the Fridge-Freezer I bought is still in their warehouse (and it was in stock ready for delivery). Customer Service polite, but have no power to do anything - they promised delivery twice now and both times it simply didn't arrive, and never even left the warehouse. It seems they just get around to delivering it whenever they can finally be bothered. Definitely won't buy from them again.

Ordered the fridge on the 11th Feb at 11:55am, confirmation received and delivered on the 12th Feb between 8:30am - 9am! Free delivery included!! What awesome service! To make this experience Superior would be to have delivery, deliver it upstairs for us. The ladies in the office got it up there though! Note: The delivery instructions are very clear when purchasing so we knew what to expect, just adding to make the experience EXTRA amazing.

I’ve had mixed experiences with Trade Depot. In-store shopping is great—good value for money, and you can find what you need at competitive prices. However, online orders are a nightmare. So far, almost every online order has taken weeks to arrive, with some dragging on for several months without any communication or follow-ups. Even after multiple attempts to contact customer service, updates were rare and unhelpful. If you live near a branch, I’d recommend going in-store to get what you need. If your priority is price over quality, it’s definitely good value for money. But I won’t be ordering online again, as every order turns into a frustrating experience.
