Absolutely awful company to deal with and the products could not be worse quality. An absolute waste of money will be spreading the word to ensure no one else wastes their money at this place. Everything we have purchased from here has fallen to bits.

Absolutely terrible product. We purchased a 7KG front loader washing machine. Not only does it not wash the Clothing and towels properly. when it does a spin cycle it is terribly unbalanced and has torn holes in my lino. it’s like it’s trying to run away

Sachin Vohra at Trade Depot was brilliant in helping me out with the right tap for a basin that I purchased. Sachin also suggested a bench that I could team up with the basin. Very efficient service and excellent service. Can't wait to get started on our next project ...I will be back ...very impressed

I purchased a COMFEE dishwasher on the 24th June. It was installed by my plumber the following week. In the first test run (without any dishes in, on an eco cycle) I had huge concerns that I could also see the water sloshing around in the back of the dishwasher near the seals during the cycle, when the cycle ended the dishwasher was still full of water, I turned it off and decided to ring the plumber to come and assess it in the morning. In the morning my new kitchen (with new lino and new paint) was completely flooded, the glue of the lino (only a day old) had been affected and the paint work at the bottom of the walls also. I immediately requested a refund. I insisted I did not want to try and fix it or get a replacement. I was asked to plug it back in so they could trouble shoot. I refused as I had had to carry it out onto the deck full of water, to empty. I was not prepared to cause any more damage to my new kitchen. I followed intense requests to send pictures and videos to convince the company of any issue and rang many times over and over to try to get anyone action my request. I had to talk through troubleshooting every time with someone new, this happend four times. After the last time I insisted on action or to speak to a manager and refused to discuss any further troubleshooting, mainfreight finally collected my dishwasher on the 22nd of July, it arrived in Auckland (from Tauranga 7 days later) on the 29th July. Apparently to date on the 9th August it still has not been assessed by a technician to decide if they will charge ME the $80 freight to return it. It is now the 9th August and I have still not have a response or refund. Crap crap crap service! I will never purchase anything from this company again and will give a bad review to anyone considering in doing so. I never give bad reviews.. but this has been ridiculous!! Had I purchased from any local company I could have walked in the door and had a refund on the spot. This has nearly 6 weeks ago and I still do not have a resolution. Shame on you. TradeDepot! After reading reviews I see this is a common thread. UDPATE: Since writing this review I have had much more response from this company and lots of requests for me to remove my review because they are resolving it. I was not prepared to remove or change it before my refund was processed and now it has been (finally refunded on the 12 August) I still am unsure about completely removing my story, as this still was a terrible experience. I can only add: I am grateful it has been resolved now thank you.

Prior to visiting the Onehunga showroom, I received confirmation from the customer services team that the required product/s as per the photos I provided were in stock. The team kindly set the items aside for me for pick up. When finally being presented with the items set aside, there were only 2 of the 4 required pieces and they were the wrong items, not as per the photos I sent. The items I needed were indeed out of stock. After explaining I had travelled a long distance to get to the showroom and after a lot of painful negotiation, the team advised they would sell me 2 of the 4 items that were on the showroom floor. Also, as a gesture of goodwill, they provided the other 2 pieces free of charge. However, upon getting home I realised they have kindly provided one incorrect piece. This experience should not have been this difficult or ended with me being provided with the incorrect product. Very disappointing experience.

Was sold an unusable product. And was not advised that the tap needed high pressure mains. Asked to return it but was told that they would take a 20% “restocking fee”. Tell me why I am not entitled to a full refund when being sold an unusable product?!

Bought the stick vacuum. Lost the receipt. Have bought quite a few large ticket whiteware items recently with Trade Depot. They would not replace it. We thought the charging cable was at fault. Forced to buy a new one. Turns out that is not the problem. Have to now buy a new vacuum. Will not be looking at Trade Depot :(.

Ordered a whole bathroom tap ware set, all were in stock on the website. Majority of items showed up in about 2 weeks, however the shower mixer never did, and no contact was made. After another week I attempted to call them got told it was on back order and not available for several weeks. However I found out there was stock at the CHCH store. I asked for it to come from there. They said fine, we will update the shipping in a day. Nothing, I rang back 2 days later, talked to ‘Mike’ he said it was being sent that day. Nothing updated. Rang back twice a day every day, until someone told me that it was completely out of stock. They offered to replace the mixer with a different colour and type, they didn’t get that it was a set. After another week of me calling I finally got the same brand different colour. This was just so my plumbers could get back to work. I also got a tile tray, they have yet to supply manufacturers installation instructions, but are adamant that it will void the warranty if not installed correctly. They have terrible customer service, they only care about the sale, communication is near non-existent, unless you do it yourself. They do not know the products they sell and are not interested in supporting you. However, you might get lucky and have no problems.

There after service is incredibly poor and very frustrating. It seems once they get the sale they no longer want anything to do with you. My dishwasher pipe broke and when I rang local plumbers and electricians, I was advised they could not do anything as they find it almost impossible to get parts from Trade Depot, so suggested go directly through them. Rang them couldn't get through, did a chat box online, found incredibly frustrating, then sent emails. It has been 3 weeks and no responses to my ongoing emails. Escalated to Manager 2 days ago and still no contact. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND TO ANYONE TO PURCHASE THROUGH TRADE DEPOT DUE TO LACK OF AND VERY POOR AFTER SERVICE.

Months ago posted a review on cloth dryer. Then they contacted but haven’t refund me yet. They said they would take the machine and then would refund. Its been a month, no one is picking up the machine. Also, they come/ deliver without any appointment. Most of the time when no one at home! I wonder how this scam doing business in NZ?

I have had my new (as of October 2021) Heat Pump Dryer not working for 3 months so far this year, not to mention all the other times where I had issues where it would not be usable for at least day. The current problem (2 months & counting) has seen it sent to their depot (which in itself took 3 weeks) in Christchurch where it currently has been for 3 weeks. Every time they say they will do something or advise me what is going on, it almost never happens without me following up & even then I have been regularly fobbed off or ghosted. Although I have also bought a Washing Machine and Upright Freezer from them (which so far have been trouble free) I would definitely NOT recommend any one buy anything from them in case anything goes wrong.

The initial order was well handled and supplied with great communication of the status of the order and delivery. The subsequent part supplies of the order have been somewhat chaotic. We were oversupplied with 1 item of the order, not supplied with the other item of the order and supplied with items not ordered. This required a call to resolve the problems.
