Set in 8.5 acres, The Oaks Crematorium is surrounded by beautiful ancient semi-natural woodland and wildflower meadow, providing a picturesque setting for the Crematorium building which has been sensitively designed. As well as creating a space that is relevant for all cultures, ages and beliefs, it provides a tranquil sanctuary for the bereaved, inspired by its natural setting.

The Oaks is a lovely crematorium although modern it has been built in a style sympathetic to the environment. The driveway is beautiful with wonderful wild flower beds either side. At the service we were able to look out the large picture window at the front with the birds and we were particularly pleased to watch a spotted woodpecker for part of the service. The place and people made what is a very emotional time that bit easier
Well it’s never a pleasant experience attending a funeral , but The Oaks is so peaceful and in a lovely setting that it certainly helps .

The Crematorium was beautiful and loved how it's all set up with the view outside the window. Everyone that came to my daughter's funeral said it was just perfect. Loads of people were able to come in and it wasnt crammed at all. Only downside is the rush to get out once the service was over ready for the next people to come in.

Highly recommend the Oaks as a calming and peaceful place to have a funeral. Huge windows look out onto gardens with bird feeders and mature trees. We were shown around the complex before we booked as we’d gone on spec and there happened to be a staff member who had just finished work but spotted us and stayed on to give us a guided tour. That really was kind of her and helped us understand how the service could be planned. We had a visual display and use of the organ at the crematorium. Everything went smoothly and this helped take some of the stress from a sad occasion.
Despite a sad occasion the ambiance of the crematorium was bright and uplifting. Looking out onto the grounds during the service lifted ones sprits. Everything went perfectly
Beautiful, peaceful setting for a funeral with views of the woods & birds feeding outside during the service. Less formal & oppressive than other crematoria, which makes a difficult day slightly easier. The large screen for displaying a photo tribute is an excellent addition, which enables the service to feel more personal.
I have had my mum and dad cremated here and the grounds are absolutely lovely, they don’t rush you to leave the grounds after the ceremony so you can really take care of saying goodbye probably.
The experience was not great as it was my daughter's funeral , so as experiences go it was probably the worst in my life, you need to rephrase this question. In terms of the service provided by the Oaks I have no complaint, it was smooth and professional

The Oaks is a lovely setting, it was the perfect venue for my dad’s funeral. From the ease of parking for guests, the garden and surrounding area to the venue and layout of the building itself. All the people and staff involved were brilliant and for what was a difficult and emotional day the Oaks played its part it creating the perfect send off.
We chose the oaks as many loved ones have been cared for there, lovely surroundings, facilities are good with plenty of space. Thankyou for taking care of my dad.
The service was perfect.
The service I received was absolutely first class. You made it easy for me visit my husband as and when necessary. I was also allowed create with you a way in which I wanted the service conducted. This was done in a very professional and personal way. Everyone that attended the funeral thought it was the perfect send off for Bob. The flowers were also amazing, and I thankyou most sincerely for everything you did.
Everything we asked for was provided and we had so many compliments of the venue and celebration we gave my husband. Would recommend the celebrant who made us so welcome she was so supportive to the family and our friends.
