Having the cremation at the Oaks was a perfect send off. Lovely grounds and a great send off for our mother. Barrells supported us through this hard time, and they worked closely with the Oaks team. Top teams all round

The oaks allowed for the field gun and limber to be on site and to be fired. There were no issues in arranging this they were helpful. Everything we asked for was completed music, order of service etc Would have liked an extra 15 mins to be able to get everyone in and out

We were able to hold the funeral that our son deserved in the way that he’d wanted. The Crematorium staff were excellent and the setting, with its view of the outside, was perfect. I’m so glad that our son was too tall to fit our local crematorium’s cremators so we had to go to The Oaks. A perfect setting with plenty of time given to the service and it didn’t feel as though we were being hurried through before the next funeral party arrived. Thank you for making such a sad time as easy as you possibly could.

Everything worked like clockwork. It was a beautiful, peaceful setting and very fitting for the celebration of my Mum’s life.

The crematorium staff were helpful. There was a problem with one of the songs where the technical staff had not changed a version to the one we had stipulated. It would be helpful if clients are referred to the song library when choosing music for the funeral as some versions are better suited than others.

After entering the office by a new member of staff and her finding my mums ashes she said she needed to get another member of staff to overlook which was fine and we were taken into a side room. Another member of staff entered and basically dumped the box of ashes on the table like a new pair of shoes. We were told that mum was in a bag in a box should we need to open the box and was given a certificate should we decide to scatter. The door was then opened and we were ushered out. As I went to stand to leave my father started getting emotional and began to stand up and was extremely wobbly, no one offered for us to sit and take a few minutes to process receiving the ashes and I helped my dad out of the ushered door begin held open then the front door being held open too! It was like we were being kicked out and had no time to process this experience. The member of staff put the box of ashes into a carrier bag and said oh she’s heavy as the bag was handed over, again just a rude comment I thought. The fact my father wasn’t even asked if he would like to sit as he was shaky I thought was very rude. A real unprofessional and unsympathetic experience

A lovely modern location with a real country feel to it. I particularly liked that at the end of the service we came out into an enclosed courtyard where you couldn’t see the next funeral waiting. There is plenty of parking.

The location of The Oaks Crematorium is why we chose it having used it for my mother’s funeral some four years ago. Together with Moore’s Funeral Directors my husband’s funeral on July 5th went so smoothly, despite the fact that many more mourners attended than we had anticipated.
