I took delivery last week of a new sofa with 'Duratec' cushions at extra cost, which allow you I quote 'to sink into the sofa' The cushions are so overfilled, they are rock hard and I have to wedge my feet against the coffee table to stop myself from sliding off them. In addition, the studwork is higgledy piggledy and two studs overlap each other so they are sticking out. Have complained and taken the cushions into the showroom yesterday, not interested! Shocking service. Seeking legal advice.
WE BOUGHT A SETTEE AND CHAIR 1 YR AND 2 WEEKS AGO. WE NOTICED PROBLEMS 3 MONTHS AGO BUT I HAVE BEEN VERY ILL AND UNABLE TO DEAL WITH THE PROBLEM UNTIL RECENTLY. THE CHESTERFIELD COMPANY REFUSE TO SEND ANYONE OUT TO LOOK AT THE PROBLEMS WE HAVE. IT APPEARS YOU NEED TO KEEP THEIR FURNITURE IN A ROOM WITH NO LIGHT, NO HEAT, AND YOU MUST TRY YOUR UTMOST NOT TO USE IT. THE FURNITURE DOES NOT ARRIVE WITH ANY DETAILS ON HOW TO CLEAN OR LOOK AFTER IT. HOWEVER, IF YOU USE YOUR GUMPTION AND BUY A GOOD PRODUCT TO USE THEY WILL THEN TELL YOU YOU HAVE BROKEN THEIR TERMS AND CONDITIONS - PHEW - DIFFICULT TO GET MY HEAD AROUND. IT IS GOING TO COST US £500 TO GET INDEPENDENT ADVICE IN ORDER TO TAKE THIS COMPANY TO COURT - IT WILL BE WORTH EVERY PENNY. WATCH THIS SPACE !!!!!!

I ordered the Manchester Wing Chair in Mahogany Vintage Analine. The chair arrived on time and was delivered and unpacked in my living room. The build quality is excellent, it's very comfortable to sit in with quality leather and I expect it to see many many years of good use. Highly recommended.

If you get a chance visit the Manchester showroom like we did but either way you will get a fine piece of furniture at a fair price
Bought a 3-2-1 Chesterfield sofas which has sparked the light back in my living room. The customer care was superb and a real bargain flavoured with real touch of class. The sofas were what I expected them to be and more.
Its seems a shame that despite previous reviews this company still seem to persist in using an outside delivery company, who are not good! We were informed that both sofas were ready and awaiting despatch, but despite numerous calls it took a further 4 weeks to actually deliver the product, they had been collected by the transport company and were then stored apparently in there warehouse there until they could deliver, the sofas look great however not sure what the long term quality will be as they seem very light but time will tell, as they say you get what you pay for
Can be difficult to get hold off sales team and disorganised but generally helpful. Very nice sofa though but check it fits in your house.
I ordered the Gladbury 3 seater sofa, and was very pleased with the service I have received. I asked for there to be two large seats rather than 3 so would match my other sofa and this was easily relayed and done. I received the sofa within 5 weeks, the delivery drivers were great, the customer service at the company were great and I am very very pleased with the sofa - would highly recommend to everyone.
Chose the leather we wanted from three samples and placed the order for Manchester wing chair. After only a couple of weeks I had a call to say the chair was ready and the couriers would be in touch within the next two weeks, they weren't I rang Chesterfields and was told they have no record of my order, despite having taken full payment. The order was eventually traced a couple of days later and the couriers made contact and arranged to deliver. The chair made it in through the front door but was too big to fit through any internal door frame, fortunately it went in through the double opening conservatory doors, I was then able to get it through a patio door which had the handles and track stops removed to allow it to slide open a precious few inches more and then through another set of double opening French doors into the lounge. I was not at home to witness the couriers but my wife was not impressed with their attitude to what they said was a common problem. If this is the case then customers should be advised when buying this particular chair, Having said all this I am very pleased with the quality of this chair. There are several companies manufacturing this type of product, some at considerably more than I paid, the workmanship and materials I cannot fault. I would buy from this company again but take a van and pick it up myself.
It was a pleasant surprise to see the chesterfield suite I have ordered on line. Excellent craftsmanship. Recommend this company to anyone as it offers good value for money. Sales staff could be more professional in their dealings with the customers.
I wouldn't hesitate to use this company again, the staff were a delight to deal with. My e-mails were always answered promptly. Great quality sofas at sensible prices. The delivery men were so helpful and pleasant too!
However, due to administrative errors, delivery was delayed by over 2 weeks.
The worst telephone comunication with a smarmy sales person, who I phoned 3 times to make sure you had the correct delivery address. I got so angry with salesman that I had to come off phone and calm down took me an hour! The end result was that my chair went to the wrong address ahhhhhhhhhhhh!!! I wasted a whole day waitng in for chair and on the phone to delivery man ( who unlike your staff was kind, polite and understanding. The chair it's self is ok not outstanding and smaller than it looked on the website. I think you owe me some compensation for my wasted phone calls, unhealthy bad moods and huge waste of my time. I think you need to tape your phone conversations and then you might realise how rude and obnoxious your staff are? Completely ruining your company.
From start to finish the company were great nice and polite on the phone, a number of swatches were sent to decide the leather of choice and the sofas were delivered two weeks earlier some can't complain a great service
Overall I am satisfied with the design and colour of the sofa set but they came up extremely small. Had I known they were this small I would have ordered a four seater. Delivery was flawless, the delivery guys did a great job, were respectful and handle my furniture with due care. My only critismn is that the pictures in the magazine and on the website are very deceptive and make you believe the set is bigger than it really is.
I ordered a corner sofa in August 2014. This was a sale item forma modular range and was duly delivered. I then decided to order two more seats to attach to the modular sofa. I did this online; order acknowledged online, along with all terms and conditions. At no time did anyone call to discuss my order. The chairs arrived and when we opened them it was clear the leather was a completely different colour and a different texture with a very obvious mottled effect. In addition they had been incorrectly manufactured and so we were unable to attach them. We immediately informed the company but were advised that difference of colour was to be expected due to varying batches of leather. They said that this had been explained when they rang to discuss my order, and apparently they suggested sending a swatch to colour match. This did not happen- the phone call never took place! Had I been aware of this of course I would have sent a swatch, after all £700 on two chairs is not a paltry sum as well as the cost of the sofa. Despite many complaints through conversation, email and letter, all we received was an offer to repair the chairs so they could attach. They were collected in December and after chasing up, returned last week (minus any fixings). So... we are now left with two chairs that look absolutely ridiculous against the sofa as they are a different colour. They are completely useless to us and I believe the only way we can rectify this is if we pay another company to try to dye them to match. After spending well over £2000 with this company I have to say the customer service is appalling. At no time have we been offered compensation; all our complaints have been dealt with in a glib manner which has left us extremely angry. The bottom line is that I was NOT offered a colour match service so the Chesterfield Company have clearly failed in the most basic customer service. To make matters worse I have now noticed a fault in the leather of the sofa and I really can't bring myself to complain as I know what the response will be. I so wish I had never encountered this company.
What a great company my sofa is fantastic after ordering online the service was excellent. I was kept up to date regards my order & delivery. I am so pleased with the quality of the sofa it's a classic piece of furniture that will last for years.The delivery guys were helpful & curtious. I would highly recommend this company it has a great team & superb top quality sofas.
We wanted something different for our living room, something that oozed quality and style. We searched all the usual sofa companies and kept coming up with the same old stuff. After a year of looking we found the Chesterfield Company online and fell in love with their art deco sofas. We ordered and they came. The are vintage aniline mahogany leather, seriously comfortable and a great talking point. We couldn't be more pleased!!
