The supplied materials were generally of high quality. One 4x4 Newell post had a modest twist. The cable system is good- once you figure out how to install it. The supplied instructions were for a different cable system than that which was purchased. There was no response to an email request for the correct instructions. I ultimately found instructions for the system I purchased by searching on YouTube and sorted it out by trial and error. This is not what the purchaser should expect at these prices. Shipping costs were exorbitant.

I like the product and service but I would suggest reviewing your mailing arrangements. The mailing costs is way too much. In my case the mailing costs was almost as much as the product.
Every time I buy a house of forgings product from you there's chips in the paint because it wasn't packaged with bubble wrap good enough and the pieces specifically double basket balusters Bounce Around in shipping and chips the paint

Stairs came in damaged. It cost me $800 dollars to have them repaired. Ultimately had to cut off both of the short ends so I lost the look. I did not have time to get these replaced.
I ordered stair retreads and wood quality is great. I cannot say the same for customer service. Shipping got delayed due to covid which is fine. I am needing to order additional stairs for the project but being able to speak to someone is nearly impossible. Despite email and a week plus of calls, i am still waiting for a call back to complete the custom order.
Saturday, May 23, I received a custom stair tread approved by me for fabrication on 3/31. Previously I had sent a detailed sketch to Jake, who in turn sent a shop drawing that I approved. Reference order #226073. both the sketch and the shop drawing show a custom tread with two 8"x8" notches cut out, nosing on 3 sides as called out in your brochure material and total thickness of 7/8" which i also confirmed with Jake as possible. The tread delivered has the notches but is a full 1" thick - not 7/8" and instead of an applied nosing with a mitered corner on the sides, the tread shipped has simply a rounded edge on 3 sides. This is much different and cheaper looking than what I drew, what is shown in online literature, and what I expected and paid for. I have called and emailed Jake, emailed customer service and have not heard back. it is obvious that there is no interest to correct the problems that I paid $286 for. I have a piece of Oak that is not what I ordered and I am going to have to spend time and money to make it fit. Even then, it will still not have the appearance that I expected. I am not happy.
