It took us 8 months from sign up to connection here in Colchester - sometimes the communications wasn't clear and it took multiple engineer visits to sort out a problem with our cabling, but after very patiently holding on - it seems totally worth it - 900/900 at a fraction of the cost on what we were paying with Virgin. The email support was fast and very helpful and got my issues resolved. Would totally recommend it to anyone who has it in the area and whose alternative is stuck paying high prices for fast internet.
great customer service, the tech guys that came to my house explained it all very simply,500mb for £17.50 bargain.yes it was a bit of a wait (7 months) but all in all worth it for the faster service and cheaper price. overall im a ver happy bunny....
I would be greatful if someone from openinfra team could get in touch with me please. We had installation in September 2023 and still no connection, I would like to speak to someone regarding cancellation of our agreement to discuss cancellation fees. Unfortunatelly I can't get through on the phone
My annoyance is not with what they might or might not offer but their pushy approach. The sales rep must have knocked on my door more than a dozen times in the past few weeks. Initially I listened to what he had to say and looked into the deal. It turned out that when you take landline and calls into account it wasn't much cheaper than what we already have. Despite telling him that we are not interested, he keeps on pursuing me. This is harassment and totally inappropriate. I am considering reporting them to Trading Standards office.
From the initial consultation, followed up by a professional installation of the fibre cable.Everything now runs very fast & smooth like a well oiled machine.Good job & Highly recommended. Thanks so much open Infra & a big shoutout to Jimmy Linder.
Great improvement from my previous service very reliable
Hello everyone. I had signed up to open infra, well at first make could not make head nor tail of it as wouldn't let me do anything, anyway sent an email to Markus, demanding they send someone to fix it,never thought they would, low and behold the wonderful guy, engineer Zak arrived at my door, and in no time at all got it all sorted for me, took a little of time, but he said not going until it's up and running, absolutely lovely man explained everything, and so helpful. So to say I am so grateful, and appreciate his help, and also Markus, for helping this little old lady out. Thank you so much, shall recommend to all. Great service all round.
Their sales rep knocked on my door, initially wasn’t interested but the gentleman made good points, figured it was time to upgrade. Thank you Eni for being honest and upfront about the details and answered any questions I had
After first getting Open Infra 900 Mbps symmetrical service in February (review below), just a small update from me after more than two months to say I've been very happy with the service. So happy in fact that I upgraded it to 2,500 Mbps symmetrical (which admittedly is probably overkill). I pretty much always get that speed and the service has been solid and reliable. Many thanks to Max who came round a few months ago, Abdi and Markus in support for responding quickly to any queries I had; and special thanks to Martin and his team of engineers who've been really great. I'm looking forward to many years of Internet service from Open Infra!
After many attempts to get us to sign up by knocking on the door we did. Since this point the service has been appalling. Similar to another review, an engineer turned up with black wire even though we requested white. The engineer said that customer services would contact me to finish the installation at a later date. I heard nothing. I contacted them eventually and booked an appointment and they didn’t even turn up! We are not scheduled to start using their internet until September when the contract with our current provider ends so this is even more shocking how bad they are! I would avoid this company, I wish I had known this before signing a contract. Now need to look at how I can cancel even though we are legally bound. The customer service on the phone and in person is extremely poor!
Ricardo from ‘2welve fibre’ was very friendly and respectful and did a nice and neat job.
Ali was so professional and helpful. He did the installation quickly and efficiently and explained everything to me as he went along. Fantastic customer service! Thank you.
So pushy and disrespectful! I told the salesmen numerous times I am happy with current supplier I am not interested in your services. They just keep coming back and recently I literally had to close the door because the man would not take no for an answer! While I was closing the door he actually put his hand in to stop me from closing the door getting angry that I didn’t want to sign up ! One more knock on my door from them and I’m sending my Blink doorbell video to local police . No means no so go away ! Today there was a woman who also ‘ didn’t understand why I didn’t want to sign up ‘ . And no I will not be sending you email I said NO numerous times they should have it in their notes . I’d rather pay more for my current services than being bullied into signing up for open infra .
I was assisted by the installer Luige, he was very attentive and helpful, he did all the installation I needed!
Very disappointed with this company After being persuaded many time by cold calling I signed up for my 2 properties in the same road in Mill Hill London. After installing the black boxes and routers being delivered six weeks ago, both properties are still not connected. I have phoned, emailed several times and not heard anything. Now after taking legal advice both routers are going to be disposed of and I will stay with a genuine broadband provider. Absolutely shocking service from a company trying to start up
Another person from Colchester willing to take up the offer but time delay and poor updates of what was going on plus my VM contract to expire I finally cancelled any further communication with the company. Renewed my contract with VM on very favourable terms including a landline which Open Infra could not offer and that was after trying Vonage which was another disaster as you can not use when your VM router is in modem mode. So sorry Open Infra you have let Colchester down terribly.
The sales lady appeared at our door in Colchester on 04.04.24. She claimed that several people in our street had signed up. Her spiel was impressive and we decided to go for it, trusting her assurance that we could back out if we wished, with no penalty. Open Infra sent three e-mails committing to install on 13th April. Then we realised that we would only save a few pounds a month, and we didn't need ultra high speeds anyway. We read numerous reviews from Sweden, USA and UK, and were shocked by the preponderance of negative comments. We need a reliable service, but Open Infra seems to be growing so fast that the administration of the business is chaotic. This doesn't inspire confidence. I'm glad we cancelled.
Fabulous service and Martin is a dtar
I signed up last year on a promise of completion in January in my area of Colchester .All was going well, box was fitted before Christmas and fibre was connected to the overhead pole. On 22nd Jan we had an email to say things were delayed and they expect to be complete no later than 31st March. Since then there has been no communication and no sign of work starting, and 31st March has come and gone. I contacted customer service who said there was an "ambition" to complete the rollout in the 2nd quarter of this year, but would give no other details. They wouldn't even confirm if work had started or were going to start in the near future. I've lost any faith that we're going to see the work completed any time soon. In the meantime my VM contract has expired, meaning that I have to pay double the price, or renew for another 18 months. I've spoken with some neighbours who are in the same boat, and none of them are happy. All it takes is some regular updates to keep people informed. There is no excuse for breaking a deadline without at least letting people know as early as possible and outlining what you're going to do to make it right UPDATE 25/4/24: Despite the reply below 2 weeks ago saying they've "dispatched informational mailings", nothing has been received (and yes I've checked spam). So still no information from open infras and no work has started.
Constantly at my door having been told to not return multiple times. Reply below shows companies interest in addressing experience.
