James from NBI carried out a re-inspection of our home. He provided some really helpful advice about how to deal with our builder and the report he produced was thorough and well written. He provided real clarity around some issues we were uncertain about. I now feel prepared to take things forward with our builder and it is good to know that the package purchased includes 2 years' customer support. I recommend anyone purchasing a new build to have a report completed for their property and highly recommend using NBI.

Excellent Advice and support throughout the overall process of snagging the new build we are purchasing. A safe pair of hands. To have this level of help is a relief twhen you are spending so much money. The service is very fast from booking to reporting of the snagging list. Martin provided excellent advice. It’s is clear that Martin has a wealth of experience in the building business, the advice is detailed and extremely helpful to ensure we take over the house in the best condition for us. We are extremely happy with the service provided by New Build Inspections. Worth every penny!!!

All the people from NBI have been quick and responsive and helpful in all of their comms with me in the past month - from Lorraine and Rachel who dealt with the initial enquiry and report to Ryan who carried the inspection out. Ryan was thorough as far as I can tell and picked up things 2 weeks after I got my keys that I hadn't in my initial walk round - it was the small things that were picked up on that I think make the difference (another review says there is perhaps too much of this but I would be inclined to say I would rather everything be on the report). The write up of the report was speedy and the selling agent on behalf of the developer replied to me saying it was a good quality report, one of the better ones he had seen in his decade plus of selling new builds in Scotland. Some of the snags have been remedied whilst I am awaiting others to be sorted - but I would recommend NBI and if I buy a new build again then I'm sure I'll use them.

We engaged New Build Inspections to carry out a full survey of our one off new build home. We found them to be extremely thorough, helpful and clear in their findings. Their report was very comprehensive and we feel confident that with their on going assistant and support we will achieve a satisfactory outcome with our builder. They have years of knowledge and expertise in house building, know all the tips & tricks and have a wealth of third party specialist support to call upon. We can highly recommend New Build Inspections.

We had a inspection/report done on our new build approximately 3.5 years ago by New Build Inspections (Brickkickers). The reason we opted to have it done was to have a professional person to check/nspect the property to highlight the non-compliant works/finishes and to take the stress out of looking for faults within the first 2 years. Initially we were pleased with the report and the non-compliant work that had been picked up during the inspection. However, during the remaining 2 years a lot of other issues (some major) became evident that had been missed/overlooked during the inspection?? Examples of the missed/overlooked non-compliant works include roof tiles not set out correctly, dry verges not fitted correctly and lifted in places, missing stepped cavity trays over bay windows (no weep holes evident), mortar soft/eroding away in places, DPC less than 150mm from ground level, window reveals out of square by more than 5mm, under-floor vent grills all fitted upside down, bay windows not built correctly so grp roof/soffit did not fit correctly,, guttering cut too short in places, mastic seals missing under door thresholds. In the small print it does say that they don't guarantee to report on every snag but we're disappointed they missed the major ones!!

Amazing service from start to finish! I had to change the date twice due to my builders and they were so kind and accommodating. Martyn (the inspector) came around and was very honest and professional, he was very in depth and it has meant we have been able to get a lot of things rectified within the house without too much of a battle with the builders. They have also supported us with any further questions we have had after the inspection. Highly recommend.

Excellent Professional Service Martyn clearly has vast experience inspecting new build properties and I trusted him to snag my home for me, he was superb in picking the items that may not be obvious to home owners. Two years since he first did my snagging report he is continuing to support me with several important items that I am struggling to get addressed with the developer. Furthermore, I have passed on his details to several of my colleagues over the last two years. Thanks for your continued support New Build Inspections, you provided me with piece of mind.

I wanted to get a snagging survey done within the first 7 days of completion, and NBI were thankfully available. Martyn carried out the survey, and I found him to be extremely well informed (expert, in fact), and friendly. He answered all the snagging questions I had, and spotted things I wouldn't have. Liaising with his colleagues at NBI was also very smooth, and I received the report the next day itself, as I had requested a fast turnaround. Martyn continues to be very approachable to help answers questions after the inspection as well. As an added bonus, he even gave me a lift out of his way after the survey, which I much appreciated! Highly recommend Martyn and NBI!

When buying a new build home, an independent snagger is essential, and NBI certainly fitted the bill. They were able to fit in with our complex timetable, and performed a very thorough assessment, including pointing out some items that would not be covered by the builders, but did warrant attention. The draft report was submitted within 24 hours and the final was sent directly to the builders as a PDF, which was extremely helpful. I think there was a slightly excessive emphasis on minor defects in paint finish, and a few minor things were missed like an absent radiator cap. However, overall the assessment has given us great confidence both in our new home, and in dealing with our builders (although they have been models of good behaviour themselves).

The peace of mind I obtained from having a professional (with decades of experience in Quality Control for a major developer) snag our new home is unquantifiable. Paul was extremely thorough, took the time to explain a few of the larger snags to me, and promised a speedy report, (which is exactly what happened), as I had a 7 day snag meeting scheduled with the site team. Furthermore, Paul communicated a certain respect for the house, praising the design of the Redrow Marlow (one of the first draws for us, as buyers) and the general level of finish. Which he mentioned to the site team when they popped round to introduce themselves! There are some crucial points on the report, which we would not have spotted or queried, and I feel the level of attention and service, including email communication with Rachel at the office, as well as the final product fully justifies the rating I have given.

We contacted New Build Inspections after locating their details on the web, they were polite and punctual. I consider myself to be somewhat technical with regards to knowing what is right and wrong with regards to snagging a property. But I have to say, that what the surveyor found when he visited the property really opened my eyes. The report was well documented and concise, upon presenting the report to the developers there was not much they could say and they agreed to carry out all the works detailed. With previous new properties we have purchased, we have always had an upward battle with regards to remedial/snagging works. I would recommend to anyone this service and to use New Build Inspections, moving home is very stressful and this is one stress that New Build Inspections takes away.

I used New Build Inspections when we moved into our new flat to do a snagging report. Martyn was really friendly and helpful in preparing a report of all the snags and the after care has also been fantastic. I have had a couple of issues with the developer on a couple of snagging issues and Martyn has been really helpful in advising what I can do. I would really recommend New Build Inspections for anyone who are moving into a new build property, as you would be surprised what the developer will try to get away with!

We recently bought a new house and New Build were tremendous. Our surveyor (Martyn) went through the house with a fine tooth comb and the report was incredibly detailed. He didn’t miss a thing and was available on email or phone for follow up advice where required. I could not recommend New Build highly enough.

The 'go to' company for all new home purchasers! I would have been lost without the expertise and advice offered, New Build Inspections walked me through the whole process step by step (I have to admit it was all very new to me). Everybody I came into contact with, office staff and the Inspector alike were all lovely, approachable and professional. The process is all very easy and fast and there is support available if you have any issues post inspection. I would not hesitate to recommend this company, thank you New Build Inspections for helping me talk to my builder and resolve the issues detailed in the report.

From start to finish we had a positive experience with New Build Inspections. Firstly the Inspector was happy to talk through points we had found by ourselves, he then explained the process of the inspection. He was very patient and was happy to explain anything we did not understand. The inspection took place and we left him to it. He found some serious faults and some minor and also picked up on decorative pieces which i was unaware of. They aided us after the report and explained the process if the builder's refuse ect. After spending a lot of money on our new build home, the price we paid for the inspection was invaluable and clear to us how much needed doing that should have been done. I would 100% recommend New Build Inspections and I am aware a few from our site are also booked.

Not impressed, it took a while to get the final report and the surveyor (Norman) was not very responsive. He promised to measure the flat for me and then afterwards said he forgot and that it wasn't part of the scope. I understand it wasn't but why did you promise as I was relying on this. He was also meant to call me to provide a high level summary of key snags which (suprise) never happened. It was not part of scope but he agreed to it via email. The report produces is very technical and confusing and has not helped me with resolving snags whatsoever so I would not recommend.
