We've recently used New Build Inspections Limited to review our new forever home and I'd just like to say thank you. The team were excellent at every point of the journey. The gentleman who visited to complete the report as well as the office staff who supported my queries and were happy to review points with the contractors time and time again until concluded. They also helped me understand the difference between what I was entitled to have resolved and were even happy to negotiate a few small issues I wasn't entitled to have sorted to be changed with the good will of the builder. The whole process was simple, easy to follow and the team were always there at the end of the phone. I would happily recommend New Build Inspections to anyone buying a new property. Waste of money. Didn’t pick up one particular costly issue - major scratching on windows. When we had to go to dispute with the builder and he said New Build had agreed to leave certain items as they were but we wanted fixed, the New Building Inspector got scared and told us they didn’t want to get involved. Obviously no integrity or belief in what they are doing. Was suspicious when they forwarded our email directly to the builder. Why? Our neighbours are also having issues and New Build confirmed they were right to be concerned but then backed out when knowing there was a dispute. Too late, they were already on record. Abhorrent behaviour. Added: The reply from New Build is puzzling. I never asked them to include anything in a report, doesn’t make sense. Why would I ask for him to include things in a report and why would you bend over backwards to do so? I have never asked them to say any untruths, for what possible reason? Months later, I asked whether they had agreed with the builder to not fix the shower screen as he said the Inspector did, which New Building never confirmed or denied. The Inspector stated he never mentioned anything about a shower screen, yet there it is in black and white in the report. You just panicked. In addition, I believe you are muddling us up with another property. My review is fair of my experience. I don’t normally write reviews but I felt quite shocked at my New Build’s attitude, it was as if you were actually acting for the Builder.

Fantastic customer service - maintained constant lines of communication as I had multiple questions going into the process for the first time! Questions were answered quickly and the completion and quality of the survey and report couldn’t be faulted.

I contacted New Build Inspections Limited after seeing them on a social media site which came up on my NewsFeed. I liked the group page and for a while watched posts on the group with pictures etc. I had a survey done 3 months after I moved into my New Build (Aug 2017) by another survey company in December 2017 but then contacted New Build Inspections Limited earlier this year (January 2019). Martyn was my inspector and he was very knowledgable. He came in and sat with me for a while and listened, taking note of some of my issues. Then, I left him to do what he does... Once all done, I got my report in a couple of days and as thought I was not gonna be happy (The report was great and very detailed and guess what there are more snags). I have yet to send the report to my home builder but due to some family circumstances (and me just partly feeling to just give up) I am only just getting round to things. I wish I had contacted New Build Inspections Limited before if I had known about them. Great service, very friendly and as the nice lady on the phone said, they are here to help even after the inspection / report which is reasuring. Contact these guys and get your home sorted asap. before you move in or straight after you move in. The longer you leave it, it just gets depressing and much harder. Good luck.

We moved in a February and whilst we'd found a great home with a sales team who on the face of it seemed trust worthy enough, we still thought it was important to get the report done, if only to give us confidence in our new house. These guys were great and really took the time to explain the whole process to us. When the report came through it didn't highlight any particularly bad problems but gave us confidence and information to go back to the developer with things we wanted putting right. If we didn't have this report we'd still be uncovering snags for years to come. Definitely worth the money
I instructed New Build Inspections to conduct a snagging survey on my behalf. I came across New Build Inspections on the HOA website, Home owners association and felt that this recommendation warrented a visit to their website. New Build Inspections have featured on programmes such as Watchdog by helping TV legends such as Dominic Littlewood battle rouge traders. With this information in mind I decided to proceed with a snagging survey, which previously I was concerned would be a waste of money. Afterall, what could they point out that i couldnt possibly notice myself? After being told by several people, including the estate agent to save my money and do the survey myself, i was reluctant to proceed. I then came to the sensible realisation that £380 would be money well spent if any serious defects were identified at this early stage and I am no expert in what the appropriate standards are or how things should be done properly. The survey was reasonably priced compared to some other companies and they were able to book it in for the following week. I receieved my survey report the next evening which i thought was a brilliant turn around. The report helped me to identify the overall condition of the property and the standard of house i was buying. The most valuable thing that i found was being able to ask Martyn questions about how things should be done and what we need to do to sort things. I was also given information on warranties and processes and this helped us to make a sensible decision on the possible implications of our purchase. I would thoroughly recommend NBI to anyone looking at buying a new build property.
If you have purchased a new build home this service is a must. As a new build homeowner, we and our neighbours were fed up with the constant snagging issues on our new Build Homes. Before the 2 year warranty expired we had this inspection, which consolidated all issues into one comprehensive report which they sent to the Builder, snagging points we would never had picked up on, we had the whole downstairs amtico floor replaced , one of the points picked up...….They provided support and guidance in dealing with the Builder and NHBC is required after they produce the report. A very reasonable cost and a service that could save you thousand's in the long term with your new home. Over 12 of our neighbours have now used NBI and all very satisfied. Professional , friendly and supportive, highly recommended.
Would definitely recommend this company to anyone looking to buy a new build property. They undertook a very detailed inspection of the property and provided a professional report within a few days. Spotted items that I would never have even known to look for. Also, very polite staff in their office whenever I made contact by phone.
Amazing. A wonderful, helpful small business, who all take the time to treat your concerns with respect, thought and care. Fabulous value for money: from a four/five hour visit, followed by continued support. Well worth every penny. Thank you New Build Inspections for helping me to see the light at the end of the tunnel, during a very dark, frustrating and lonely time.
Let’s start by saying what a great service from NB Inspection and especially to Ryan. Thanks to him, I finally have peace of mind and my snagging list has been attended to at a fast pace. Ryan was very knowledgeable, arrived on time and discussed what we will be doing throughout the inspection and also any other issues I have with the developer (i.e. Extras paid for) he will make sure I get this done. I did my snag before I moved in and stuff I thought were not relevant, Ryan explained to me the importance of it and the developer had 2 years to address every issue I have before the NHBC take over. Overall am very satisfied with the job Ryan did. Bit embarrassed to mention the number of issue my home has but am getting results now and the developers have since apologised to me for the mess they caused. I recommend anyone purchasing a new build to have a report completed for their property and highly recommend using NBI.
After having a traumatic completion on a newbuild i rang Rachel at NBI 2 days before my 7 day snag list was required. Incredibly helpful and understanding and even managed to get me an appointment for that afternoon with Martyn. Martyn was incredible, sat us down talked us through the process and what to expect from the report. Incredibly knowledgeable and was with us for about 3 hours. Usually the reports would take 2 days to be generated, but as NBI knew i was in a bind, they managed to churn out the full report within a day and even revised it twice so that i was able to submit it to the developer in the allotted time. My issues with developer are still ongoing but Rachel/Martyn and the team are still helping out. Have and will continue to recommend to any and everyone who is purchasing a new build.
Today i had a visit from Ryan at New Build Inspections to start the initial report. The impression I've got from this company up to now is excellent, I'm so glad i chose them, the Inspector Ryan was very knowledgeable and knew what he was doing....very proffesional & a nice chap. I've been in the house 5 days and all the snags I found, he noticed them too and of course many many more. Very pleased with what I saw and going forward it gives me peace of mind that I have this company on my side during the time it takes in getting my home snags put right. Highly recommended.
Would highly recommend New Build Inspections. Ryan (our inspector)attended our apartment and found things we would have never thought would have been a snag. Ryan was extremely thorough, he also took note of a list we had compiled ourselves and added these into our report for us. He explained the process very in depth to us and we have also had contact following on from the builders receiving the report so the aftercare I cannot fault neither. When you spend a lot on your property and expect a high standard I definitely 100% recommend you use this company to have an inspection and ensure your getting your perfect property.
We moved in to our new home 3 weeks ago , our builder would not allow us access to see the property at all prior to handing over the money at completion. We found this a bit strange , why would they stop us from viewing the property? , they made excuses like Health and safety and how it wasn't finished , but yet it had the CML issued. Since moving in we have found many snags , much more than we expected and we called in NBI The inspector James has been great, really knew his stuff , and what to say to builder when they came round after the first week We were ready for them, list in hand , all fired up for battle As it happened the stand in chap for the site manager went through the list and thought it was fair and whilst they have not finished yet, we are getting a daily visit from various odd bods
I don't recommend this company , paid £380 for a snagging report, they missed a crack in the shower tray , I'm sure they are paid to pick things like this up,when I asked for some of our money to be refunded I was sent an aggressive email saying I was jumping on the claims bandwagon ? really ? they were paid to do a job that wasn't done very well , I should of been compensated , wished I hadn't bothered it would of saved me a lot of money and hassle .
