The technical side of the process went smoothly, providing all the details requested. Credit where credit is due, this all went easily. They had a couple of minor issues, but offered less than 60% of the online quote. One of the justifications given was the mileage which was an input to the quote. Jokers trying to chance their arm.

So easy to deal with. From booking an appointment to getting it valued and receiving payment. Mark H came to the value my car and went through the process clearly. This company purchased my car through the carwow auction platform. Their inspection was unable to find any defects not declared to carwow but they still wanted a £100 reduction on their winning bid because the first service wasnt dated in the service log book although mileage was entered in addition to the VW service stamp being present. This was a completely arbitrary reduction as this being a main dealer service the main service record is actually held on the cars electronic service history and the date could easily be verified/confirmed by a buyer if required. However I feel if I had pre-empted this and filled this in (as I could have done being a hand written field) they would simply have found something else, a stone chip perhaps for their £100 reduction. I presume £100 is their minimum target reduction. They then wanted to leave the car parked on my drive for upto 14 days following completion of the sale. I refused permission and it was dumped outside a neighbours house illegally parked half up the curb and across a junction for 4 days. It was also left untaxed on a public road for this period as I registered the sale immediately which cancelled the road tax. Ill just do a private sale next time, these websites are not the hassle and stress free experience they make out.

The online valuation was OK, but once I did the video call the valuation dropped £500.i couldn't see why, I finally reluctantly agreed to a £400 drop in valuation. Apart from that everything else went very well, collection as explained & very quick payment.
