Great, contemporary "Sydney" Oak internal doorsI I purchased 4 internal doors in late June'24, though have only recently had them fitted, after decorating downstairs. 2 full and 2 glazed. I think they're fantastic; good quality, very contemporary, classy look, especially the glazed version! The Chippie thought he might struggle to plane the vertical grooves but he used masking tape and did it with a saw and got a good sharp finish. Very pleased with them!
Excellent Customer Service. We had problems with previous vendor of quality of door received twice which were damaged. Decide to go to Wickes. Door ordered was delivered direct from their supplier LPD. Delivered on time, and driver kindly waited whilst packing removed whilst door checked. Door was in perfect condition. Can recommend purchasing via Wickes.
Good communication.Arrived on time.Friendly, polite and helpful driver. Sorry to update this review eith not so good things.The door frame delivered was for an internal not external door.Express Doors Direct do not seem to be able to tell us when LPD can resolve the problrm and we haven't heard from LPD. We are left with an insecure entry and no reassurance about resolution,in spite of 2 phone calls.2 emails and the supply of photographs to EDE in order for them to liaise with the maker. Doorless and disappointed. Now Thursday.Explored the net and found that LPD is a supplier they do not make the doors but use manufacturers.In our case Vibrant doors. Traced back contacts with Express doors direct.The reply to our second enquiry had come from Vibrant Doors .It requested photographs of our delivery.Sent them and received this exact reply back " Please advise why the frame is wrong as you order and 30" door,receive that and 30" frame as shown by the picture you received 30" frame." This reply was so ungrammatical that it was hard to decipher, not to mention that it refers to 30 inches instead of 30mil! We simply could not understand it and rang EDD to let them know. Eventually found a direct number for LPD and yippee spoke to an intelligent and literate person named Helen Riddeal.She understoid our stress levels and asked us to send copies of the photographs ( which LPD had never known about) and immediately investigated.What a simple answer..they use the doir size on the frame packaging NOT the frame size that you choose when ordering an external door. As Helen said we could have been told this as photographs clearly showed that the packaging had not been disturbed because we ordered a 44ml frame and the one we received was clearly labelled 30ml. So a cart load of stress because EDD offloaded our query to Vibrant Doors , and they sent an email badly worded and using sizing of 30 inches insread of 30ml and failing to mentioned that !! Welcome to the world of call centres and middle men. 5 stars to Helen and no stars to EDD and Vibrant doors.
