I have had an external door and frame fitted to my house. I studiously coated it with a quality Ronseal product. 12 coats in fact as the weather blows something shocking against my house. Within 3 days the door started to let water through the joints. The frame has split from top to toe and the veneer must be thinner then a hair as it’s delaminating. The manufacturer says that I should not have used the Ronseal product on it! It should not be sealed with any product such as stain, laquer, varnish, wax, oil including Danish oil, and several others. OK, it’s an Oak veneered door so why would I pay a premium price to then paint it with a water based paint. They also say that the door should have a cover above it! Basically ITS NOT FIT FOR PURPOSE AND SHOULD NOT BE SOLD FOR OUTSIDE USE. Absolutely rubbish. You couldn’t make this up. In a nutshell, we are not going to give you your money back for our CRAP product, so go away you stupid customer. Even if this company was the only door manufacturer on the planet I would not buy there products. I’d rather have an old blanket hanging across the door. I’d expect that to be CRAP. Do not buy anything from LPD doors. They are just terrible and have no morals.

Even though the incorrect doors were originally sent I cannot fault the delivery service..Ian the driver contacted them directly to see what/why this happened, he loaded them back on and took them with him so there was no waiting around for them to be collected at a later date ..great communication throughout the process and delivery times were true to the estimated time frame ..will definitely use again

Not the best experience! Whilst LPD did send several updates on date and time of delivery; the driver arrived with the door more than 2 hours before the due time. He also expected my Son to carry this heavy door into the house, which is not what i expect from a delivery driver!

First things first, delivery: one of my biggest concerns when ordering online is the delivery service as so many companies use a third party company and they either don't care or don't know what they are delivering and inevitably there is damage. Then you end up deciding if it's worth sending back and just living with said damage. Well LPD have their own delivery guys and van. The chap who delivered my door was a lovely, he knew how to stack the doors in his van so they wouldn't be damaged and even carried it into my house for me. He also gave me time to check the door. 10/10 for delivery. Then there's the door itself, I ordered a simple full glass door with primed wooden surround, perfect and at a great price, another 10/10. Very happy customer.

Ordered 11 doors via their Agent CMOSTORES and received only 10 - did not show or leave a dispatch note when delivered. Probably no management quality check on dispatch nor when placed on the delivery lorry, the delivery driver was informed that one door was missing. The quality of the product seems average, some of the finish is a bit suspect. Will go somewhere else in future. Tatty doors tatty service. Not interested in further response as you and CMOSTORES had 2 months to resolve the issue with me as piggy in the middle - I am still owed one door at £240 out of an order of £2,750. Change your processes and ensure a physical delivery note is issued and not just what is on your drivers mobile phone.

The delivery driver was very polite and arrived a couple of hours early. He thought I may have had a text to say but I didn’t receive one. Also the timing of the service text from wickes was out as it asked me about delivery prior to receipt. This process needs amending.

A disgrace of a company!!! Sent a complaint email last year to Gordon bell, Rob Stewart and MD Stuart Gordon and still not resolved. Me still having to chase them rather then LPD senior management showing any compassion or acknowledgement of poor service. A complete of joke of a company who i spent thousands of pounds on 14 doors and do not have the decency to rectify an issue with one door and allow it drag at over several months even tho Gordon Bell verbal told me of the options available to me which included a replacement doors but now back tracking. They couldn't get less about the client. Sent over 10 emails and the replies are appalling. Continuing to escalate and further cause to my frustration rather then finding a solution to satisfy the client. I find it incredible how poor the level of customer service has been and even more astonishing the Managing director Stuart Donald Gordon is happy to accept this and let it continue!!!! LPD couldn't care less about you, how much you spent or your issues. They have your money and they could care less of the service you have received. I am writing this still trying to have issue resolved and it has now become mentally draining dealing with LPD!! I only wished i read the reviews on here before purchasing as i seem many have suffered the same fate. I would have saved myself a lot of time, money, effort and mental suffering had I read all of these reviews first. DO NOT BUY WITH THEM AND AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!! Update - 17/03/2022 Issue still not resolved. Furthermore they tried to blackmail me into giving me what i wanted if i edited some of my review or "ideally removed my comments completely" I have in this writing from Gordon Bell. I made clear to him this is a breach of trust pilot's own bad fits ethical standards act and I will report this to the website. They furthermore continued to ignore my emails of what i require to resolve my solution which would be one door to be delivered FOC (although it should be 3). However they wanted to further cause inconvenience to me by arrange another day's labour (which they wouldnt pay for) for a removal of a door and collection of this on a separate day. All this had not been agreed however I still have LPD delivery driver turn up on my door after 6pm on Saturday requesting a collection of a door. I explained I did not agree to this. A few days later they call my builder wanting to arrange collection on Wednesday, again we state no door for collection. They appear on Wednesday still wanting to collect a door! I have sent them an email to stop harassing me! No FOC door in sight. I have also seeked legal advice and will now pursue compensation for this entire ordeal. All of this over one door!!! Please think long and hard before dealing with this company. Please contact me for further information if required as i have all the above in writing and happy to share details to prevent someone else having to go through the pain of dealing with this awful company. They was very quick to offer me what i wanted ONLY IF I removed my review! I made it loud and clear this is blackmail and you cannot manipulate and bully a client like this!!!! This is not ethically correct and left a further bad taste in my mouth! Still no answer from MD Stuart Gordon !!! Happy to take your money and leave you to deal with mess after! DO NOT BUY WITH THEM AND AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!!

Judging by how their driver just made a lane change on the M1 North just above Sheffield, probably not great. Nearly smashed in to us, and went over 2 lanes. Really not great advertising. Very low standard of driving there.

Ordered an internal bifold door, 3 panels, the quality is the worst I have seen. Huge gaps all round, no draught excluders to help with this, no drop bolts so the doors keep moving, what a waste of time and money. They are going to be ripped out and something of better quality put in.

Awful. Unbelievable delays. We ordered doors in October and still waiting....Their tagline is currently: "Expect More" - it should be edited to: "Expect More...Delays". Abysmal

I bought my doors via direct doors .com, who when subsequent issues arose told me that the manufacturer and deliverer of the doors was LPD. The first issue was I was given a delivery date, and then a day or two later, another one. On contacting direct doors I was told the manufacturer had duplicated the order, and they - direct doors - would inform LPD. Nevertheless, LPD, after delivering the order proper - that in itself a very poor experience - attempted to deliver the duplicated order, which delivery I refused. Then LPD notified me via direct doors that they were going to come and collect the doors which had not been delivered. Direct doors told me after I contacted them that they would talk to LPD. Despite that, LPD made 2 attempts to collect the non-delivered doors, the 2nd attempt today - 2 months after my initial order was placed. I will write to the MD of direct doors - I am their customer, not LPD's - to ask him to resolve this finally. It's not direct doors fault clearly, but they will not get any more of my business.

This company has really messed me about with doors that they have sent which are not matching. They constantly lie and don’t even try sorting any issues out for you. When my joiner started fitting the door we noticed that the grain of two doors were different design. I had contacted mixed door who told me to get in contact with Lpd. I contacted Lpd and logged a complaint. After the complaint had been looked into I was told that they were unable to do anything as the door were hanged. Which seemed reasonable, I had then asked if they can match the door from other doors with in the factory and get me something close to what I had. Jordan the complaint manager in Leeds had initially blamed mixed doors but I just wanted another door and not excuses. She kept on changing her story and I felt that she was extremely unhelpful, rude and unprofessional with sorting the situation. She told me that the doors are supplied from Spain and they are able to match the door from Spain and will send me photos before they are shipped. This hasn’t been done!. I am losing this battle with this company and would be grateful if someone high up within the company could help. My complaint reference is #2333 which you can reply to.

The delivery team at LPD doors have been amazing...They have been so patient with me as I have been unsuccessful due to the pandemic in securing a joiner.....I have today contacted them to arrange my delivery and the agent was so lovely....can’t fault the Customer Service...just hope my doors are ok after all this time

I bought an external 'oak' door to find on arrival that it was veneer- very misleading brochure and website which hides the fact that the doors are veneered. The external veneer lifted within 3 weeks and, because I'd not painted the inside face of the door- please tell me how not painting the side of the door affects the external veneer, they won't consider a complaint. AVOID LPD LIKE THE PLAGUE, they supply shoddy doors and as you can see from other complaints they will not accept any liability.

Update 8 Jan 2022. Following my one star review, LPD Doors asked for more information so they could review my case. I provided that info and have heard nothing from them. Enough said LDP only sell through stockists so ordered 6 of their DX30 door via a retailer. When they arrived, 5 were the same and one had different dimensions to the rails and stiles meaning it didn't match the others. Spoke to LPD Sales and they said, "yeah, they come from different manufacturers so they may vary." How can the design spec vary? Surely their manufacturer isn't making them to the design spec? They told me to email my retailer and copy LPD sales. Did that and LPD sales replied saying they're unable to help directly so I had to go through my supplier. My supplier has been waiting 6 weeks for LPD to respond to them. In the meantime I'm a door short. I can't just buy another one as I don't know which variant of their DX30 door I'll get. I should have gone to Deanta
