Absolutely horrendous company - avoid at all costs. After purchasing a door from them in 2015, it took until March 2016 and 5 replacement doors until we had one where the paint wasn't peeling off or the handle didn't need repairing. After 4 years (after being told that the door was guaranteed for 10 years with no indication that different parts of the door had differing lengths of guarantee) the same issue that I had with the previous 5 faulty doors started to happen again, and in the same places. I was told that the paint was only guaranteed for 4 years and they could only offer me a top up pen! I enquired as the length of time they could guarantee it to last after being topped up, and I was accused of being ungrateful, and they withdrew their offer!!! The customer service is the worst I have ever experienced. PLEASE AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!!!
Had a day booked off work for over a month to have my door replaced. Called them twice the day before to make sure it was still going ahead. I was told the engineer will text the evening before. I didnt receive a text until the mornin he is due, telling me the door is not ready and appointment is cancelled. Awful company. Avoid at all costs
Absolute s**t doors. Poorly made and designed. Ongoing issues and a door that doesn’t stop leaking. No response from the aftercare team. Would advise anyone not to buy any products from this company
They make doors that let in the rain and wind, even when they are closed. Customer service that treat you like an idiot, if you are a developer, dont care how cheap the doors are, THEY ARE NOT WORTH IT.
Had a new back door supplied by IG doors. I can honestly say that it is one of the worst decisions of my life. The door works ok but it is one of the ugliest things I’ve ever seen. Because the opening is fairly narrow they have taken a standard width door and taken the sides down to a point where it is now totally out of proportion. They also reduced the height, by cutting the bottom down. So now the door looks awful. I have tried to reason with them, but they are having non of it. They now just ignore me. Avoid this company at all cost.
Ordered a replacement door in June, eventually delivered first week of August, but it was damaged due to the fact it was packaged so badly, still waiting for it to be collected and replaced, every time I call they say it will be arranged the following week, but it never happens, this is the second damaged door I have received.
Excellent customer service. From the first (rather random) email I sent, which Gareth replied to and answered all my concerns. To Michelle who has been dealing with me. Thank you both for such an easy and pleasant experience
Very bad experience ordering with IG Doors, I've had my door delivered today (week 10) and it's still damaged. They initially took the door back to fix after there was a smashed glass, deep scratch, no masonry and wrong sill. The whole process makes me wonder whats going on inside if they're getting things, this wrong. Total lack of communication and no care for the customer at the end. AVOID
Working as a buyer I despise this company, awful communication, awful lead times and has a tendency to ignore problems instead of sorting them out. Avoid like the plague if you can.
I ordered a replacement front door from IG Doors as they fitted the original one due to it being badly damaged by a sofa company, order date 26th July 2018. I paid for the door in full over the phone and was sent an email advising the door would be made by the week ending 24th August 2018 and was given a date, I believe in September for fitting. On the day in question having taken annual leave, I eventually phoned IG Doors at approx 1pm to ascertain when the door would be arriving, only to be told that I had not confirmed the appointment and it had therefore been cancelled ! During this phone call I was also advised that IG Doors had stopped installing private contracts but would honour mine as it was placed before the change, I found it odd to bring up this subject in such a way. A new date for installation was then booked for 19th November 2018. Approx 3 weeks before the new installation date, I had to cancel the booking due to work commitments, IG Doors gave me a new date of 17th December 2018. IG Doors then contacted me and advised that they can no longer supply/install steel fronted doors to apartments on order of the government due to the Grenfell Tower fire. I explained that my door had already been made and should have been fitted back in September to be told that they would look into it and get back to me. They didn't phone me back. I therefore contacted IG Doors on 10th December 2018 to see if my door was to be fitted on 17th as I had taken another day off work. I was advised that the door has not been made, it cannot be fitted due to the Grenfell Tower incident and I will get a full refund. I spoke with the manager who repeated this information and also stated that I should have been advised of this fact at the beginning of August. I challenged the manager that I believed this was purely down to IG Doors no longer installing private contracts and my job was an inconvenience. I also pointed out that my door had already been made as per a previous phone call to be advised that this was not correct. The manager stated that she would get my refund processed and I would be advised accordingly. I stated that I would like the refund to be done immediately as I did not want to have to phone again, only to be told that this couldn't be done and they had my card details to sort out the refund later. I asked her to confirm the card details only to be told that she couldn't as it was data protection.... I feel totally let down by this company. They take your money, your order and give you an install date and then fail to show. When challenged they state that the appointment had not been confirmed ! When is it normal for an appointment to be made and then cancelled because it was not confirmed ?!! Also, whenever you have to phone IG Doors, you are on hold for approximately 10 minutes. Avoid this company at all costs as you will waste an awful lot of your time and annual leave !!!
