I've always used HPI when buying a vehicle and again it's done its job perfectly. This time the car had outstanding finance on it so we made sure the dealer had this cleared before we took the car.

Good to know you can get a check however only as good as the the information recorded.

Its always better to be safe these days when buying a car because there are so many out there that have been damaged and repaired and lets face it not many of us no this or if there is outstanding finance still on the car , so this is a great tool to help anyone. Thanks Guys.

Atrocious service when my partner who has used HPI for over 30 years phoned up to point out that they had not informed us of a mileage discrepancy. The vehicle had been clocked by at least 50,000 miles. The check is therefore unreliable and we only found out by chance by checking the Government's MOT record and saw the mileage had gone up and then back down again. If we had relied on the HPI check (which is still saying that the van is ok to buy, even after telephoning the company to draw the matter to their attention) we would have bought this vehicle. We were told that they can only update things like that if they are told about it! How many other vehicles have been sold according to their recommendation and there is a problem?
