Brilliant. Saved me buying a dodgy motor.
Wicked gave me everything I needed say no more
I used to Hpi years ago as it was the only one to use and today l found it the most reliable, well worth £9.99 for a piece of mind
i know absolutaly nothing about cars but this site gave me peace of mind knowing i could ask questions about the car already having the answers and buy with confidence GREAT SITE
Quick, easy, comprehensive, informative. Highly recommended.
It’s the only way to get the right information & actually, I’ve been in the motor trade for over 45 years and always used HPI to make sure of what I am buying in vehicles, I’ve never been letdown, thank goodness for the services of HPI . Thank you very much!!
This is a great service with good customer feedback. I had initially accidently typed in the wrong VIN number and it locks for 24hours. However a simple email allowed me to get the support team to enter the correct number which was matched. I am happy with this. There were some odd issues such as flags for things that weren't really relevant. But all in all a great service.
Relevant headings answering key questions , providing detailed information covering car's history . Easy site to navigate.
Normally I find HPI essential for a used car purchase, but after the recent issues I have had with their service - the MOT history of mileages are a perfect rising trend, but the NMR values are wrong on a specific date, where some numpty has been guessing the mileage on their check while the car was in trade, and now they are refusing to clean up the record. The V5 details are correct, but I am wanting to retrospectively update, which apparently causes another error that looks like a history spoiler. I'm expecting now that in some years if I sell this car, I will be having to print all the support emails in a brochure to prove the car is legit, and probably won't get the chance if someone checks HPI only and never gets in touch. Basically, 75% of what you use HPI for is available for free, from the gov.uk website where you can check the MOT history in all the detail down to the garage address that performed the test. So you can stand in front of a car with the VIN visible on the car, the V5 and the gov.uk data, the whole MOT history and mileage on the car to verify, and the gov.uk vehicle check service will tell you if it was ever scrapped and exported. Why do we need to pay £20 a go for a service, where there is no customer service?
Really easy to use, very quick and i brought the package with three and if was easy to use again with the code so i only paid once. good layout as well so it was easy to read
Fast effifficient service
I Tried to purchase an hpi for a car using my bank account and it deducted only 1£ and got an error something went wrong. again I tried to pay and again it deducted 1£ and the same something went wrong error. so-called customer care, he asked me to provide credit card details so he can process payment. I didn't share my credit card details. and cc call cost me 7£. I paid 9£ for nothing and I got frustrated.
Common sense to use HPI check for a secondhand car.
Used HPI many times and always found the service to be first class!
It's a reassuring service which helps to validate any vehicle that you are considering. £20 well spent for peace of mind.
This is a brilliant service. I was literally sitting in the carshowroom typing in the car details. The salesman said it was a waste of money becuase they do a HIP for me but I've heard of people buying a car from a garage with a HIP only to find later that its fake! I was able to pick up from the HIP that the finance on the car had not been sorted. I was able to make sure that the finance was cleared before I purchased the car. You can also take out insurance for 30 days once the sale is complete from HIP. I would say that for £20 you are saving yourself a huge amount of hassle buy doing the HIP yourself. Don't rely on the seller to do it for you.
Easy to use and results in seconds excellent
Fantastic. The most detailed information available. The new MOT feature is top notch. Costs more than some, but believe me, it is worth the extra money every time.
I, like you in all probability, though HPI was gospel. Beware. It isn't. The details matter to sellers and buyers so you need to do your own detailed research that HPI have the correct valuation. Here's my story I discovered my Ford Mondeo was wrongly listed on several sites (Parkers, Autotrader, HPI, WeWantAnyCar so far) and comes up with a £1,000 lower valuation. Most list it as a hatchback when it is an estate. But Ford do multiple horse power versions of the same engine units as well. Most publish the wrong engine horse power but HPI don't publish it at all. Both factors affect value a lot. On first contact by phone, HPI were adamant that I had to pay them to sort this out so I wrote a Trustpilot 1 star review and caught their attention quickly. Thank you Trustpilot. The upshot of that many days later was that HPI confirmed (at no charge) they had it correctly listed as an estate but they don't distinguish the engine variants. We all know Caveat Emptor menas Buyer Beware. I now know there is a latin saying for sellers; Caveat Venditor and that applies here.
